He had managed to get special permission to retake his OWLs, given the circumstances, and obtaining said permission had been difficult enough, but the fact that he had to do them all in a three day period had almost made the spattering to Ts he had received the first time around worth while. It had been nearly unbearable, sitting for three, sometimes four, sets of exams in a day, but he had done it. And done it well. Confident in his scores this time, he was taking a well deserved break at the Leaky Cauldron, waiting for his sisters to finish up a bit of shopping. He played with his malted, dipping the spoon in slowly and licking it one stroke at a time, savoring the creamy goodness that he felt was so well deserved after the hellacious last few days he had had. And quite relaxed. That was until a waitress dropped a tray of dishes in the kitchen, causing a crashing an clattering that would have woken the dead. Drew jumped up with wand drawn, his heart racing and his nerves on edge as he wondered if he had made another stupid mistake in sitting in a pub alone. The voices in the back, angry and frustrated, told him he had over-reacted and he pocketed his wand as he sheepishly took his seat again... ... right in his overturned milkshake. He cursed softly at the mess he had made, mostly embarrassed about his own clumsiness, and as the melting milkshake oozed down his leg, he jumped up to get a towel or something before it started looking like he had had an accident. The men's room had plenty of paper (too bad wizards didn't go for those hand blower things) and Drew mopped his shorts up best he could. Now all he could hope for was that the girls would hurry up so he could change. Frustrated and slightly sticky, he made his way back to the main pub, turning quickly to shoot the three pointer with the wad of papertowels... and snagging his shorts pocket on the door handle. RIIIIIP! Wet, cold, and sticky and now to top it off, there was a large tear down the front of his shorts, the rip showing the world that he was wearing golden snitch boxer shorts. Great. A perfect way to turn a perfect day around. Could it get any worse? {btw... I think Charon won the bid ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I'll expect payment by the end of the week }

For the first time in her life, Felicity was allowed to visit Diagon Alley alone, without any sort of supervision. Her mum had been busy with her work and had to go to Hogsmeade, forgetting she'd promised to drop off some herbs to a friend of hers in Diagon that day. In her flurry of madness to get out of the home and to Hogsmeade on time, she'd asked Felicity to drop the herbs off, explaining exactly where to go and the amount she'd be receiving for the herbs. On top of the joy Felicity expressed about visiting the Alley by herself, she'd been told she could use a bit of the payment at the Leaky Cauldron for a bite to eat before returning to her homestead.
Upon arriving at the Leaky Cauldron, after the ordeal of the clattering dishes in back, she chose her seat not far from another lonely diner. The hot sandwich she settled on was to be proven a choice dish, or so the waitress told her after Felicity convinced her she had enough to pay for it. The waitress seemed a little on the snobbish side, perhaps it was because Felicity's clothing was so well-worn, but she didn't care. Her order, having been placed, Felicity ran to the restroom to wash her hands before caring to touch the scrumptious, or so she hoped, meal.
Leaving the ladies room, she heard a rather loud ripping noise. Curious, she turned to see who and what made the noise. Merlin, that wasn't the best idea. There was a very tall guy standing at the mens restroom, showing a bit more than she cared to see. Not sure whether to cover her open mouth or her wide brown eyes, she tried to do both. However, as flustered as she was, she was incapable of covering either properly; resulting in her eyes being able to see past her spread fingers, and her mouth uttering a loud gasp. Now, she wasn't offended, but she didn't know exactly how she should've reacted. It was one of those situations where you can't tear away your gaze, but your eyes can't close either.
"Ummm," she muttered, feeling as though she should at least say something. "Adorable boxers?"

And there it was. All hopes of sneaking back to his table unnoticed until the girls met up with him had vanished. Instead, he had been caught exposing himself to a total stranger in the back hallway of a public restaraunt.
She actually looked almost as embarassed as he felt, but Drew was rarely one to get flustered and shy. With a flush a pink in his ears being the only thing to give him away, he pulled the torn pocket back farther to reveal more of the snitch patterned silk underneath. "You think so?" he asked, smiling crookedly at her.

"Well, yes, I suppose." Felicity hadn't expected to be shown more of the material, but just the same she really did think they were cute; even if they were being worn on a stranger who was slowly revealing more of them to her. It was an almost intimidating moment, but she felt badly for the person. And when it came to another feeling bad, she didn't feel right not at least saying something. "Very flashy, a real eye-catcher."
What else could she really say? It could've been considered a horrifying moment to some, but it really wasn't, just more of an inconvienence than anything. At least it would be an interesting story to tell someone at another point and time. More or less, Felicity was just glad the boy didn't seem horrified that someone, especially a strange girl, had caught sight of it all, in fact he took it rather well. She quickly flipped a bit of blond hair that'd made its way to her shoulder, back; now she wasn't sure if she should turn and walk away, or what.

"They glow in the dark," Drew answered proudly and then he realized how it had sounded and hoped this girl didn't think he was insinuating an offer. At least she hadn't slugged him yet, which was better than half of his first impressions with the opposite sex. Either he would run them over, or she'd hit him, or sometimes both. Yes, despite the fact that his draws were exposed, this wasn't going so badly.
He let the torn fabric fall back onto his leg and he wiped his hand on his t-shirt before offering it to her. Of course his clothes were clean, but the whole underwear thing still kind of made it all weird. "Drew Thornton. Nice to meet you," he said with another crooked grin.

"Really?" she asked. Glow-in-the-dark, silky boxers. Interesting. Normally people didn't go on about their undergarments the first time after meeting someone; normally it wasn't a subject that often came up between friends either. When the boy dropped the fabric back in place and wiped off his hand then offered it to her, she was hesitant. Perhaps this was one of the weirdos her mum and dad were so afraid of her running into? She doubted it, but still thought cautiously before accepting his hand in a more formal greeting.
"Felicity Hjort, and the feeling is reciprocated," she smiled her own bright smile at him. The feeling of a loss for words was implemented on the girl, it was a rather strange situation to find ones self in. "I'm going to go out on a limb here, but this isn't your usual way of meeting people is it? Not that it's any of my business, or anything, but I'd think the general population wouldn't take a liking to this kind of greeting very often." Her words weren't harsh, and they even hinted at laughter.

After spending more than half the day in Diagon Alley in the hot summer weather, Hannah thought it was time that she made her way back to the leaky cauldron to get herself a drink. It would be much cooler inside the cauldron than the alley and Hannah wanted to make sure that Bluey was doing okay, considering the puffskein was locked up in her room and Hannah hadn't let him out for the day.
Pushing her way through the door's of the leaky cauldron, Hannah made her way through the slightly crowded cauldron and over to the stairs that led up to her room. Something caught her eye over by the bathroom however and Hannah's jaw slightly dropped.
For an eleven year old, it was the oddest sight Hannah had ever seen in her short life. An older boy seemed to be showing off his boxer shorts in broad daylight to another older girl. Hannah stared with fascination at the two older people, forgetting all about Bluey and her drink for the moment.

"If it were my usual way of meeting people, one, if not both of us, would be some serious pain," Drew answered Felicity. "And I don't know. You yourself said my boxers were... what was it, adorable? I seriously can't say anyone has ever said that about my underwear before. Maybe I need to meet people like this more often."
He wasn't serious of course. Even as he spoke he noticed a small girl pass by and give him the oddest look. His ears flushed pink again and he wondered if he would be able to even leave the hallway without totally exposing himself.

"Really?" Ty said having walked through the door of the leaky cauldron moments before. He hadn't been at the leaky cauldron long, but long enough to catch a glimpse of this odd senerio unfolding in front of him. "Because I just can't see why anyone wouldn't find them absolutely adorable." No he wasn't hitting on Drew. He said it in a sacrastic way and with a smirk. He just couldn't help it, it was just to funny that Drew and Felicity were actually having a conversation about Drew's underwear, and infront of a little girl at that. Didn't they know there were more acceptable places to be showing off their underwear to each other in?

An arched eyebrow found its way above her light brown eye. Serious pain? That again was almost intimidating, but Felicity took it in stride and hoped he was merely joking. Grinning largely, she let out a small giggle as she heard a familiar voice.
"Exactly Ty," she smiled at the boy knowing he was being sarcastic, but willing to defend her statement anyway. "They are adorable. Golden snitches that glow-in-the-dark boxer-shorts. Very interesting, very flashy, very cute." She was unaware of the younger eyes that were gaping at the whole situtation, and didn't think much of the color that appeared on Drew. Felicity was more focused on the newer person in her world and was being oblivious to all else around her. She probably wouldn't have noticed Ty had he not said anything.

"Ooo glow-in-the-dark huh?" Ty said with a laugh as he looked up in Drew's direction. "That is just too........cute. What next Batman?" Okay so Ty had reverted back to being his smart alec self, wait he hadn't really ever digrested from it, had he? Anyways the situation was quite amusing to him. Had it been himself who ripped his shorts he wouldn't have remained standiing there flaunting his boxers to everyone passerby.

Hannah watched from her viewpoint at the bottom of the stairs, her mouth still open and her eyes still on the boy and his underwear. Adorable?, yes he was that and his boxer shorts as well, but something about him was familiar to Hannah and Hannah couldn't work out what that something was.
Someone pushed Hannah from behind, which caused Hannah to move closer to the group near the bathroom's and Hannah's face went slightly red. Her eye's still trained on the boy's golden snitch boxer shorts, Hannah made an effort to allow her gaze to travel up to the boy's face and offer him a small smile. "Hi, I'm nanna, I mean, I'm Hannah" Hannah stuttered out to the boy, trying to keep her eyes focused on the boy and not his boxer short's.

It had now gotten to the point where a crowd was starting to gather and Drew was unable to cover up his embarassment with humor anymore. Hostility would have to work for the time being.
"Hey Calister, don't you have somewhere else to be? A locker room to trash? Some girls to make cry?" Drew asked as calmly as he could. He and the Slytherin had never really gotten along ever since the Halloween dance and Drew really didn't see why the boy had to bother him now. He hadn't even noticed the little girl inch closer, much less speak. All he was thinking about now was how to get out of there. Maybe he'd hide out in the men's room until the hallway cleared up again.

“Not that I know of,” Ty said with a smile. He couldn’t think of anywhere he had to be at the moment, but it was nice that Drew was worried about his punctuality. Wait did he just say something about trashing the locker room? He had blown up a locker room, but he didn’t recall trashing one. Besides Drew wouldn’t know anything about that, the only two that did were Ty and Seanna. And he was confident he hadn’t said anything or that Seanna had so he was a little confused as to that part of the comment. The make girls cry comment confused him even more. Really where was Drew pulling this stuff from?

The saccharin-sweet vocals of a child ripped thru the air to Felicity's ears, and her attention was immediately focused on the much younger person in the quickly gathering group. Oh, she was a cutie; and of course Felicity felt the need to pinch such little cheeks and the want to buy everything she could for the little girl; perhaps a little over the top, but Felicity loved children. However, she refrained from doing any of the aforementioned things she wanted to do. Instead she smiled at the little girl who seemed completely enthralled with Drew...and maybe his undergarments as well?
"Hello Hannah," Felicity smiled to the younger girl. "I'm Felicity." While her attention had been diverted from the boys, she hadn't missed the tone of Drew voice. Why was it people seemed to take a disliking tone with the boy? She herself rather liked him, maybe it was as Seanna had said: he was just misunderstood. However, she also understood that the older boy didn't want as many people around as was gathering, maybe she'd be able to get Hannah elsewhere?
"Are you here alone?" she asked her.
