( Starts out in the Wenderling Apartment #302 and will continue into Diagon Alley. This is an OPEN thread. Please join where appropriate. )Soul Searching? He'd hardly call it that but Alfonz never had so much trouble on pin pointing his ideals before in his life, and searching was a relitive term that could have been used for what he was doing. Between a definition of purity that was skewed and a sister who knew too much for her own good, Alfonz had found himself leaving the apartment to run "errands" that really didn't exist. He just needed to walk and think, and when it came to Celina, they had talked to many times that had left her in tears for his comfort. What had happened? And what had happened to them especially? Had a few months really changed that much in the both of them? It was infuriating to say the least, and Alfonz found himself needing to calm down in Celina's presense more and more in order to keep peace between the two Jedynaks. Hot head? No. But he was entitled to get upset every once and a while, however, with his recent situations it wouldn't surprise him if it did catch up with him and he was labeled as such. On the fine December day it now was, he found himself walking around the streets of London heading back to the apartments that he had left Celina alone in. He was calm, collected and knew that his younger sister deserved an apology from him...again. He sighed to himself as he reached Wendelring, and climbed up the stairs to his familiar apartment. As he opened the door, he found Celina sitting in his reclining chair in his living room, right next to the bookcase. He smiled at her, hoping that she'd comply with his small greeting, but found that she may have missed it, distracted by the cat that was also sitting in her lap. "Celina, we have to talk." Plainly stated, he hung up his robe and walk over to her, kneeling down beside the chair she sat in. "I apologize..." he started. ( OPEN but please join when appropriate)

It had been like this all break. One discussion would lead to a debate, that would ultimately lead to an argument, that would lead to Alfonz raising his voice. It startled Celina greatly, not understanding why Alfonz would become so harsh towards her. He was never like that before, and Celina just couldn't handle the added pressure he was putting on her. Tears would form, fall, and Celina would slightly sob as the older Jedynak would leave, slamming the door as he did so. Celina was only glad that the walls weren't as paper thin as her Alfonz jested that they were. She figured Alfonz would be even more upset if they could be heard through the walls, or that of her crying.
The apartment was dreary in itself, and as he left Celina alone more and more, she found herself isolating herself and taking comfort in the presence of Emerald. She wrote letters back and forth to Felicity and such, but without the actual comfort of her friends being there, she found it hard to feel any less alone than she did. Today was no different. The Jedynak siblings had fought over something so trivial, yet it had been something they had been fighting over more and more. Alfonz was not sticking to the rules he was laying out for Celina, and where she agreed that some he didn't because he was older, some were just plain unfair. In school, Alfonz had friends, and she knew it. Even at one time he considered Roger a friend. No longer, but at one time he had, so why was she not allowed to have any?
He never gave her any reasons but that they were untrustworthy and useless unless one knew how to deal with them. It made no sense, and with as much as she followed most all of Alfonz's wishes for her, she just couldn't comply with that one. Her friends had made her last couple of months at Hogwarts, and she'd never give that up. When she, however, told that to Alfonz it turned into a fight. Alfonz rose his voice about how he knew better, and Celina started to cry about how he could possibly have known anything. Not to mention, she brought up his friend Shay that he finally had spilled partially about.
When she had done that a fury had built up in his eyes that had scared Celina something fierce, and she immediately apologized and hugged him tightly hoping he yet again wouldn't leave her to herself. But he did. As he seemed to always do when he was upset over something. Celina had no idea how close Shay and Alfonz were, as he only described their relationship as friendly and that she was a pleasure to have around. When Celina had questioned girlfriend, he had scowled and told her to mind her own, she had bigger problems than he when it came to the people she hung around. That, in it's entirety, was a completely different night, and a completely different fight.
Celina sat in the recliner chair, petting Emerald, and as she purred and Celina's thought's wandered Alfonz reentered the apartment. She looked up only slightly to notice his smile and then looked back at her cat, yet another tear fell from her eyes. Celina had been crying since he had left and wanted nothing to do with him at the moment. In her mind, he was just being cruel for no reason. Alfonz knelt down next to her chair and she turned away from him slightly, not wanting to hear the all-to-common apology that was coming.
I apologize...
Immediately, she interrupted, "How many times will you do as such?" Celina was still upset and her cold words to him only shook her from her senses for a little before she just went back to petting Emerald. She looked at him not, still not wanting anything to do with him.

Her retort was well deserved and already known. Alfonz wasn't foolish to not think Celina wouldn't still be upset and as she turned away another tear fell from her eye, slowly caressing the skin of her cheek. Putting his hand on her cheek gently, he wiped away the tear with his thumb and turned her face gently to look into her eyes.
"As many times as I need in order to reciecve your forgivenes. I have wronged you many times during your stay with me, and I understand this. No excuse I could give would right them...but know that I am truely sorry." His tone was low, and his eyes were softer looking than normal. He wanted to let her know tha the was serious, and not about to leave her side at any moment.
Alfonz's knee started to ache in the position that he knelt and at that moment he almost wished there was another chair, but then he thought better of breaking the connection he had with his sister at that moment. A slight jar, and she could not forgive him. It was a wonder what she had been writing in those letters to her friends, after all. Or worse, what they had been writing back. He allowed it, only because they made her happy in times that he was not, but he was very sheepish about them. They were the reasons for most of their fights. Celina's friends, his friends, and which were appropriate to have, and which were not. So, he stayed knelt down and thought of suggestions to ease her slight pain that he had caused.
Then something came to him. Not something he wanted to think of, nor did he want to attend, but he really didn't see any other choice in the matter. Especially, when there was nothing in his apartment that he could get to give to her or even do with her that would make her happy. She had mentioned something about the Yule Festival to him before. Something about her friends going and Celina had wanted to see if she could meet up with them. That was a few days ago, however, and the liklyhood her friends would be there on that day were slim in Alfonz's judgement. It was a promising idea, and one that she'd surly appreciate. It wasn't telling who they'd see, or in Alfonz's hopes, who they would not. Though, he knew by going he'd be taking a risk, but at least Celina would be happy.
"What if we go to the Yule Fesitvities in Diagon? You said you'd like to...and..." he stopped not really meaning what he was about to say. "I'd love to take you."

His hand on her face was cold from the outside, but still a slight comfort. Celina would never tell him though, nor give him the satisfaction that she accepted his apology. Not that easily. There had been to many fights, and she was finding herself wearing thin from them. Maybe she'd in fact go home? At least there she had a comfortable room with lots of things to do and keep her mind occupied, rather than an empty apartment with not much to do but get lost in ones thoughts. It must have been why Alfonz liked it. Not much for distraction.
Alfonz turned her eyes to his and wiped the falling tear from her face. His eyes were soft, almost loving in a way, and Celina tried her hardest to stay mad, although that wasn't working. It was as if she melted in her brother's gaze and she nodded slightly before letting her eyes fall to the ground. She listened to his apology and his realization that he had caused most of their arguing. It had been true, but even Celina knew that it took two to dance properly, or tango as the saying usually went. "No, I know..." she whispered, knowing that whatever had gone on with her brother over the months she was not with him had been stressful.
As he continued to kneel in front of her and talk about Diagon, Celina's eyes lit up a bit more than she wanted them to. Was he really asking for them to both go to Diagon Alley to see the festival? A small smile started to curl on her lips as she looked back up at her big brother. "Really? You want to go?" she asked him almost in shock that he'd even suggest it. She didn't even think about who they could or could not run into, she was just happy to be getting out of the apartment. She flung her arms around Alfonz's neck and embraced him tightly. "Oh! Thank you!" she exclaimed loudly in his ear.

Alfonz gave a half hearted chuckle as his sister's arms came flying at him. Alfonz embraced her back, holding her closely and tightly. It had been a long time since she had been as happy in his presense as she seemed to be at that moment. A small wish he had was for it not ever to sway from that kind of happiness again, but he knew better than to hope for small favors. Especially ones that he could not control.
Pulling her away from him slightly, he pushed the hair back from her eyes that had fallen into them and smiled. "All right, we'll get ready then. Get your stuff together." Alfonz really didn't want to go, but as happy as Celina now was, he wasn't at liberty to argue with himself any longer about it. If anything, maybe he'd see Shay there or something, taking photos of the festival or something. At least that would be a nice surprise, one that he doubted though that he would actually get. He sighed, moving out of Celina's way and went to the kitchen to get something to snack on from the pantry. Something in his stomach would do him wonders, or so that's what his growling stomach seemed to think.

Celina was psyched. Ok, more than psyched. Bouncing off the walls even, and as Alfonz told her to go get her stuff, it would be one request that he wouldn't have to ask of her twice. He moved from his kneeling position and headed towards the kitchen as Celina followed his moves, but turning into the first bedroom instead. She gathered her best robes, which happened to be her navy blue ones, and her best black snow boots, carrying her items in her hands from the closet and putting them on her bed. She then dashed into the bathroom just a bit further down the hall. She could hear Alfonz clanking around in the kitchen and she couldn't contain a giggle of excitement that escaped her lips.
In the bathroom, she looked in the mirror, wondering exactly what she should do with her hair. She didn't wear any makeup usually, and today would be no different. Celina finally decided that her hair would be left down, and picking up the brush that was on the sink, she went out to the kitchen where Alfonz was, still playing around in the pantry. Walking up to the side of him slightly, she tugged on the robes he still wore from his earlier outing. As he turned to look at what she wanted, she held out her brush slightly to him and cocked her head. A smile appeared on the fifteen year old's face as she said all she wanted to with her expression.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing in the pantry worth even looking at to eat. No wonder Celina was so unhappy with his living arrangements, she must have been starving. Lost in his thoughts, and in the growls of his stomach, Alfonz heard Celina running around giggling in the other rooms of the apartment. Was she really that happy? Alfonz didn't know whether he could or not stand how excited she was to be going to the festival. It wasn't as if they hadn't gone to ones like these in the past. They were the same anywhere you went, and he could remember one he took her to a while back in Poland that was just as exciting that she really found uninteresting. So, why now was she so happy? Alfonz didn't know, but silently he feared the reson so didn't ask.
He sighed and finally decided that he'd have to buy something for the two of them when he was out. That was normal, but highly irritating. Maybe he'd go grocery shopping with Celina while they were out. At least then they'd have something to eat when the wanted something. A slight tugging at his shoulder surprised him a little, and with a look of wonder on his face, he turned toward the radiant smile of his younger sister. Celina was cute sometimes with the ways of her youth and innocence, and as she handed him her hair brush, he slightly nodded to a chair that she could sit in for her hair to be brushed.
Alfonz took the brush from her hand, and after closing the pantry, walked over to stand behind the kitchen table chair.

She clapped her hands and nodded her head slightly as she saw the chair Alfonz pointed out. It had been so long since he'd brushed her hair for her, and frankly she was pleased that he'd do it. It had been one of the many things about being with her brother that she had missed. Sitting down in the chair, and watching him slightly, she watched him walk toward her, brushing by her slightly as he moved around the chair. As she sat still, she tried not to move so that she'd be sure that none of her long hair would be caught behind her or pulled.
"So," she stated softly. "What kinds of things do you think there will be at the festival today?"

Standing behind his younger sister, Alfonz put the brush down on the kitchen table. He was never as gentle with Celina's hair as he would have liked to be. He figured it was from being a keeper for quidditch. Grabbing things with a bit of force was something he could do quite well. Moreover, it was the more gentle, fluid like movements of a chaser that he needed when working with Celina's hair. He had decided that years ago when she was only a small girl.
Alfonz clasped her hair slightly, moving all of it from behind her to over the back of the chair. Celina sat taller than the back of the chair did, so it wasn't hard to maneuver the dark hair in order for it to be brushed out properly. As Alfonz let her hair drop slightly, her silky locks floated through his hands and he was amazed at the thickness of her hair everytime she allowed him to touch it. Concentrating a bit harder probably than hair brushing took, he picked back up the brush and passed it's bristles from the top of her head, to the lower section of her back where the hair fell. His hands following the path of the brush in order for her head to remain upright and not swaying.
Celina's hair was long, black and nothing like most polish had. Alfonz's dark hair was the same, except cut accordingly to look professional and upright. It was the English genes in them from their mother, who in the same way as Celina was an attractive, dark haired woman. The dominance of her family flowed throughout both of her children, and showed both the polish and english sides of them. He continued to brush her hair.
From one decent to another, only finding few knots as the girl in front of him spoke. "I'm not quite sure...I actually skipped that part of the paper." He wasn't about to lie to her about being that interested in the festival. Alfonz was going for Celina, and that was purely that. "Did you want it left down?" He asked her, inquiring about her hair once more.

By the time she asked her question to the time he answered her, she had closed her eyes. Celina sat straight up in her chair, eyes closed as the older Jedynak filtered his hands and the brush through her long hair. She wasn't afraid of him doing as such, for he had done it many times in the past. Though the idea of the bristles poking one of her eyes was one that she would have rather not having, therefore her eyes being closed was important to their safety....if nothing else.
Celina's hair smoothed out by Alfonz's touch, he finally and just as softly answered her question showing that he really had no idea of what was going on. That didn't matter. They would find out soon enough as it was, and frankly, Celina wasn't too worried about it. "Yes, I want it to keep it down," she answered him, opening her eyes and slightly turning toward him and softly smiling again. "Shall we be on our way then?" she asked him, getting up and leaning on the chair towards her brother.

Alfonz watched as his sister turned and leaned over the chair to face him. His lips curled a bit into a smirk and he couldn't control himself from jesting, "If that's what you'd like. We could still stay here." She didn't look pleased with this response, however, and he laughed handing her back the hair brush and nodding his head. "Alright, fine." Alfonz leaned in slightly, kissing Celina on the forehead and caressing the side of her cheek slightly. "Then get your stuff."
Turning around, he checked everything in the apartment to make sure that there wasn't anything he needed to bring, take or turn off. It was something he always did as Celina got ready with the final preparations of leaving that she seemed to always need to do. He figured that it was a female thing. Finding that everything was taken care of, he turned off the lights and waited for his sister by the door of his apartment.

Celina wasn't amused when her brother laughed at his comment of staying in the apartment. Did he really think she'd let him off the hook that easily? Not in the least. She only hoped that his famedom that everyone had gawed about so much before winter break would not get in their way of having a good time. As he kissed her forehead, she couldn't help but smile and shake her head knocking away his hand slightly. "Ah, knock it off. It'll be fun."
Leaving the chair, she took the back from her brother and hurried back to her bedroom. Putting on her navy blue robes and black boots, she was finally ready to leave for Diagon, wondering who she could or wouldn't see there. It would be exciting for people to meet Alfonz, she only hoped that he'd keep his manners and show more respect than he had when meeting Drew. Celina sighed, pushing her hair out from under the robes and shook her head. She just couldn't understand what got into him sometimes, like he was afraid that she wouldn't love him as much as she did if she had a friend or something. Silly brother of hers.
Walking through the now dark apartment, some light shown in through the window in the living room. Smiling, she made her way to her brother and hugged him slightly. "Thank you again," she said softly, and warmly. This was going to be a great day, she could just feel it. Or at least, she hoped. Letting go, she looked up at her older brother, and took his elbow with her own hand.
"Ready," she commented, as she followed her brother's lead out the apartment door, to their way to Diagon Alley for the Yule Festival.

Finally, Diagon Alley Unimpressed. It wasn't as Alfonz had never seen such decorations before as were hung up in the trees and around the Alley. Same thing in every such festival he had ever gone to. At least Celina seemed to enjoy the view. Her eyes were wide with excitement and Alfonz could feel her hold on his arm tighten as they entered the alley to see the sights. He was glad to make her happy. It seemed so far, that this sight had been the only thing he'd taken her to that did as such. After the encounter with the Thornton boy, it seemed Alfonz was upsetting Celina more and more and he couldn't really get out of the rut he seemed to dig for himself. He only hoped that with this, he was saving himself a bit of grief. Alfonz after all, still had to deal with New Year's weekend, and flying with the Thorntons. He sighed, unnoticeable by his younger and distracted sister. As he lead them both down the streets, bands played filling the air with holiday music and vendors tried their hardest to sell their items to the passerbys. Alfonz scoffed to himself a little as one even tried to sell him some quidditch gear he knew was better used as a wash rag for dishes. Alfonz shook his head at the man and Celina snickered. Even she knew better. Many people were at the festivities doing their thing, and there was no one at the moment that Alfonz recognized, and he didn't dare ask Celina. For all he knew, she knew a lot of people, which meant more friend meeting. He didn't know how many more friends of hers he could meet, even if he had only met one. "So?" he asked her, wondering if Celina was enjoying herself. She nodded, and mumbled something about 'spectacular', and how 'beyond expectations'. Alfonz shook his head and smirked. Silly, girl.Off in the distance, someone stood and Alfonz noticed how wide Celina's eyes grew. Did she recognize someone? He could only hope that she didn't and it would just be the two of them all evening. But something in the back of his mind told him, could you be any more of an idiot? With that thought, and Celina's eyes, he knew he couldn't even argue with himself on that one. (Appropriate time? You be the judge....and mind you, I did say anyone can join this. It's time to have some....fun? )

Shay was just slowly growing impatient with herself. Minute by minute, she was feeling that bit of unproductiveness, but it seemed to be overridden with the atmosphere of the Yule Fest. She had never seen anything like it, not anything like it in her life. It was just a sight to behold and something to admire for the Mexican girl, and it wouldn't take too long to whip out her camera and capture every frame she could.
From that morning, Shay had come into the day with a bit of a rush. She had to do this, meet that deadline, be subservient for a while, and all in all just settle in a puddle of anxiety. She hadn't been seen much in the holidays, save the major give-ins she put her time aside for. But other than that, her plans to be with Alfonz and Celina were wilted, and she didn't even have the time to get around to their place. Only an owl or two from the office, but perhaps that was it.
And just her luck. She ended up in the Yule Fest, lead on by the temptation that this event was all hers to document, but ultimately just metaphorically kicked in the face when she found out that two other photographers had gotten in on this, both from her employer, and both grabbing the same shots she wanted. It was getting progressively harder to think that she could separate herself from the bunch, even if the low rumbles in her soul told her she could. She definitely could.
All in all, the time had come where the biggests of events hadn't come, and all she could do was take a few random shots of people passing by. Forget the decorations, then. She wanted to see the expressions of people's faces, see their action, and hold it in place for all to see, and all to celebrate the human interaction and connections in relation to a major celebration.
Her hands ran about on her snowcap, and lifted it off of her head, allowing the shut in brown tendrils dance around and mingle with the fallen snow that seemed to complete this perfect picture. On a bench is where she sat, holding her camera with the care she had given it, and her expression of a mild wonderment. The expression panned around to the gatherings of people, and she was quite on target to notice one (better yet, two) faces that she anticipated. And it seemed one of those two may have reciprocated all the same. Before she could let this personal connection go, she angled her camera at the face and made the silent click of immortality. Easy enough with that over, she stood up, going straight for the two figures that she hadn't mean to leave behind. She could yell out sorry if she wanted across the crowd, but maybe a close whisper would be enough, once the gap of distance closed between them.
(my god... do I make any kind of sense?)

Celina had noticed someone, but it wasn't more the person but what they were doing. A camera pointed in their direction and Celina's eyes grew wide in a type of slight fear. Oh, no! Reporters! Celina figured that there would be at the festivities, but at her excitment in Alfonz actually taking her she had totally forgotten to put her hood up around her head. "Alfonz..." Celina trailed off, afraid that he would be angered greatly. "....we've....I mean.....what is that woman doing?"
She decided to play dumb. Sure, there was a camera in the girl's hands but that didn't mean that they were it's target. She tugged a bit on Alfonz's arm to pull him away from the direction in which they were heading. Alfonz, however, didn't move, and Celina could only grasp a bit tighter and hope that he wouldn't get to angry. Not the middle of Diagon.....not now....
