The cookie was indeed good. Although it happened to be her first one, she was drinking quite a lot of punch earlier. She occupied herself with the food table-- at least she made the impression that she occupied herself with the food table. What fun was that? This was a dance, afterall. "Oh, come on Stone," he said, nudging her with his elbow. "I'm sure you're not that bad. Even me grandmum dances," He looked around the room. "Are you afraid someone's going to see you? That's the point isn't it? To get other people dancing?" He made a daring move and grabbed her left wrist. He pulled on it-- almost like a little boy. "C'mon Stone!" he tried to pull her to the dance floor. "At least the macarena?" he pleaded. Alas! Was this Lauren acting weak? The Slytherin Warrior Princess was afraid to dance? Good, something that makes her uncomfortable...maybe something I'm better at than her.Lauren shook her head with a positive look on her face. There was no way he could truly get her to dance. She didn't dance, and the only reason she danced before was because she was in the Common Room while Reina was kissing a girl. She truly doubted more attention would be on her in comparison. "No, I'm dreadful, really." She pulled back when he grabber her wrist. What was he; five? Lauren was especially not going to be dancing with someone who had the maturity of a five year old. The macarena? He wanted like Lauren to do the macarena. Now that was a true dream, to catch her doing that. This redhead had yet to do the dance in what seemed like ever. She was not going to be doing the macarena, probably because it'd be a miracle if she even remembered it. "No, I refuse."

Sneaky and stealthy. Dragos was aiming for both, and he was accomplishing neither. He was trying to sneak up from the dungeons and be as quiet as possible, but that just wasn't happening. He finally came up the stairs and blew the little bit of grey hair out of his eyes so that he could see again. He was dressed as one of his favourite Muggle characters, Beetlejuice, but the costume was a little irritating. The wig kept falling in his eyes, and the 11lbs of white make-up on his face not only made him feel like a girl, but it was making him itch. How on Earth girls wore make-up everyday was beyond him, but he forced himself to stop scratching when he realized it was starting to come off on his hand.
The Great Hall was only a few feet away when Dragos saw the tail end of a yellow and black costume go in. He raised an eyebrow, and was intrigued by it. He pulled the doors open and poked his grey head into the Great Hall, looking around. His eyes landed to his left where he saw the yellow and black costume. It was a bumblebee costume, it was on Vanessa and boy, did it look hot! Dragos' eyes were glued to her as he entered the Hall and stood in front of her. "Wow," he said, as his eyes just kind of glazed over, and he glanced up and down, looking her over quickly.

Sometimes I truly wonder why I turn up to patrol these things. You could see the boredom on Ezekiel's pale face as his blood red eyes scanned the hall for what seemed like the one thousandth time. Bumble bees, skeletons, shadow people... It was going to be a long night for him, so he decided to go walk about, he strolled around the hall watching the students mingle before reaching his original spot.
Well at least I wasted, what, one minute.
This definitely was going to be a long night.

So Esmerelda was the woman of Charon's dreams, eh? Odd. He would have expected such a woman to look much more like Rael. However, his feelings for his girlfriend were fading with time and irritation at the lack of contact between them. Perhaps Esmerelda was closer to being what she claimed than she should have been. When she confessed that even she didn't exactly know who she was dressed up as, Charon smiled, not that it was very visible beneath his mask.
"Tonight, I am the Opera Ghost of Gaston Lereux's Phantom of the Opera come to life. However, I went a bit further than just being the Phantom. I decided to go with being the Phantom dressed up as Red Death," he explained proudly. He felt this was easily one of the coolest costumes out there tonight, and it was definitely original. He wasn't surprised that Esmerelda hadn't known who he was. Even if she had read the book, Red Death wasn't exactly someone who stood out in the tale of romance and mystery.
"The woman of my dreams, hm?" Charon asked teasingly as his smile became more of a smirk. "It's possible that you do resemble such a woman. As for resembling her in more than just physical features, only time will tell." If Rael were to show up tonight, which Charon found far less than likely, she surely wouldn't begrudge him a few minutes of flirting with a pretty girl. Would she?

With a sigh she stepped out of the shadows in front of the doors leading to the Great Hall. The girl had watched many people in some very interesting costumes go in and she couldn't help but be curious to what was going on in there. Twisting around, Brittany looked down the stair well that lead down to the dungeons where she knew the Slytherin common room to be. Seeing no one in the corridor, she decided that she wasn't going to spend all night out there waiting for Sora. So she went ahead in, knowing that he would seek her out once he got there.
Her entrance had not been as grand as some others that evening. It had most-likely went unnoticed by most of the students, since they were all caught up in their own cliques and conversations. Not exactly knowing what to do with her self she shuffled her way around the hall. Catching sight of many familiar people, she didn't exactly feel like mingling. So she made an attempt at a friendly smile and kept moving in order to not have to stop. Her cape swept around her as she walked and she clutched it tighter around her not feeling comfortable at all.
She had a thought of maybe leaving. But that was quickly dosed because of the resounding reason that it was, after all, her very last Halloween Ball there at Hogwarts. She couldn't just leave. Caught in thought, she hadn't realized where she was going and bumped into the man that had been strolling rather boredly around the Great Hall as she had been doing. ((Ezekiel))
"Oh I'm so sorry..." Brittany ammended her self, looking up to the unfamiliar man.

Ezekiel was not surprised he got bumped into on his way around the hall as he was a auror, but it must have been that the young woman apologized which surprised him the most. He smiled down at the beautiful young woman, "No need to apologize, Miss, you seemed caught up in your thoughts." he wasn't sure if she was a student or a guest to the school so he thought it be best to socialize. He spoke in a cheerful voice, covering his own boredom "How are ya enjoying the ball?" His eyes shifting from blood red to more of a emerald color as he spoke.
Maybe the night wouldn't be so long.

Jynx just beamed back at Matty when she said that she would love to dance with him. He was sure that this night was going to be one of the best. Walking over to where the drinks were located he watched as Matty got herself a grape juice and then decided that he would go for a nice cold cup of pumpkin juice. Taking the pumpkin juice from the table he raised the glass and took a sip of it. "So should we go see if we can find a table to set our drinks on and then we can go out on the dance floor?" he asked gesturing to the tables next to the dance floor. Matty took another gulp before nodding to Jynx question. She looked around the hall before spotting a near by table that was slightly more covered by shdows then the rest. Guesturing towards it they made their way over to it. The Great Hall was some what more beautiful then it usually was, even though it was indeed Halloween. She couldn't wait till the Ball started, because then her and Jynx could probly hang out more then they had been.

"Yes but I have a secret," he said sarcasted. He then took the mask off and put the hood back. "Mr. Tristan Howard at your service," he said grinning. He again noticed she was a deadly skelton. Reminded him of Jack Sparrow. Er. Captain Jack Sparrow. "So, how long have you been here? Because... Bloody hell," he said interupting himself. He saw there was a Ministry offical in here.
"Bummer," he said. He then turned back to Anna," Sorry about that, but how long have you been here.. waiting?" he said undecided. (look at the smiley to know what I mean)

Ash, now in her Sailor Mercury costume from the famous anime show of 'Pretty Gaurdian Sailor Moon', was still propped in the corner, staring enviously at everyone. Yeah, she still felt terrible about what she had did although she couldn't help but feel sorry for herself too. She had had a terrible night so far, managing to piss off two of her friends at the same time...

Jynx followed Matty over to the table that was engulfed in shadows. The only light be sent over it was that from a single floating candle. Placing his drink onto the table he watched wondering if the rickty thing would be able to support its weight. Of course it would its probably held up by magic he thought to himself. Taking his hand out of hers he pulled one of the chairs back so that Matty could sit down in it. Then taking the seat right next to her he said, "I hope they start the ball soon," with a smile glancing over towards the dance floor.

Vanessa jumped slightly as the door opened, as she hadn't really been paying attention to it. Her eyes had wandered around the Great Hall and something shiny had caught her attention. However, she was snapped back into reality when a voice spoke to her. Looking up, Beetlejuice was standing there, looking down at her and saying 'Wow'. Nessa couldn't help but let out a burst of laughter as she looked him over. She knew it was Dragos under there, but the costume was amazing. She had seen the Muggle movie Beetlejuice as least twice, so she had an idea of who he was.
Standing up, Vanessa looked him over again, the smile never fading from her face. She shook her head, snickering. "You look awesome!" Nessa said, ruffling the mass of grey hair he had on.

The man had surely hit the nail on the head when he suggested that she was caught up in her own thoughts. Brittany was ever-so bad about that. She had caught the bit of surprise on the man's face at first, but dismissed it without question. He was obviously dressed up, what as she wasn't sure, but it was a bit of a fright to see. Though as his blood red eyes changed to a green the 'scary' effect was gone. She couldn't help but wonder why the man was there in the first place, she knew that he couldn't possibly be a student but he wasn't a professor either.
"It's alright, I guess." Brittany lied with a shrug of her shoulders. It was not alright at all. Nothing was going as planned. But she knew that she couldn't help that."More like a bore-fest instead of a fright-fest." She added on, staring out over the crowd of students. Shaking her head she decided that she was going to make the best out of it with whatever she could. It was completely ridiculous to stand around and be bored out of your mind all night. She was going to have fun.
Turning on a smile, she looked back up to the man. "What's someone like you doing at the Hogwarts Halloween Ball?" Brittany asked inqusitively.

Dean, being the ' bloke giving Keag the eye ' that the girl was referring to, looked down to the floor, only to feel a sharp pain in his hand. Sh*t. He thought to himself as he realized that one of the rose's thorns was stabbing him in his left hand. He withdrew his hand from his pocket and examined it, no damage except a little blood. Dean held the rose in his free hand, looking at it before picking off the thorn in question of the stabbing. How rude... He thought to himself with a slight grin as he cast another questioning glance at Keagan.

"I don't care if she sees me nor do I care if she follows me. I want YOU to leave me alone, ok? At least she doesn't touch me or try to hook me into dancing." Art hissed to both Charlie and Jade. He was starting to hate the both of them. They kept pressuring him and he was not in favor of it. He just wanted to talk with whomever wherever for whatever reason without a fifth year following him! The arm of the skeleton reached up to remove Jade's arm. When his hand came into contact Jade would be able to feel the thin layer of spandex covering his body. This proved that the charm on the suit wasn't perfect, he was still solid. Charlie had watched Arty get into a fit again, but it bothered her none. She was in fact kind of bored with the whole dance thing. And she was right with her prediction: It wasn't really worth being here. She had to admit, she felt bad for abandoning the kid firstie, but she didn't really feel like being there anymore. Nudging Arty with her elbow, she said to him, "Sorry, kid. Something just came up. Gotta go." And with that, she waved Jade and Arty good bye, and left the Great Hall, but not without a good old fashioned zombie exit. "Uuuh...." she groaned as she left. Maybe going around the castle after fetching her wand from the common room would be a good idea.

As Beni attempted to pry Keagan's arms away from her body, Keag glanced around again, catching Dean's eye just before her friend mentioned him. Keag thought it was him that Beni was thinking of, at least. His gaze and the seventh year's comment about her being a little hottie set Keagan's face to flushing again, and though she smiled at Dean and let her arms loose herself, she looked to the floor in an attempt to hide the color. "You think so?" she asked, glancing at Beni a moment. "You think he's shy?"
