"Why not find out?" Beni said with a devious smile, her eyes lighting up under the heavy eyelashes. If Keagan wasn't getting a clue, she would have to help her out. Beni waved the boy over, and gave Keagan a subtle wink. "Maybe a good ol' chat will liven him up."

Jack decided that he had had enough of the whole ball thing. He had had a chance to see all of the different costumes and had even gotten himself a drink, but now it was becoming rather boring to him. Deciding to leave he made his way over to the doors and stepped out into the entrance hall where there was still many student chatting and getting ready to enter into the ball. He had decied that he would run up to his dorm to grab his wand and then go see what else he could find to do in the castle while most of the school was at the dance.

Dean smiled a bit in return to Keag's, even if she was embarassed and looking at the floor. He had been about to sit down and basically do nothing when the girl Keag was with waved him over. Hier gaat niets... He thought with a slight shrug as he walked over to where the two of them were standing. Dean felt a little awkward in the situation, the last time he had talked to Keag... Well, he had kissed her. Which normally, he would not think a bad thing, but it had been at the time as stupid thing to do. " Uh, hey. " He said nodding briefly to Keag's friend then introducing himself, " Eh. I'm Dean. " He slid his mask off to reveal his face and offered Beni his hand.

Talia smiled at Anna, and nodded, "Ah, who's the lucky guy?" She asked, and hadn't seen Jake yet. "I'm waiting for someone too." She said, and just at that moment she heard Jake talkint to her. She spun around and smiled a huge smile, "Don't you look dashing." She said, meaning it. Although he was in a vampire suit, he still looked good. "I love the costume." She added, as he slipped his hand into hers. She held in gently, and continued to smile. She knew tonight was going to be just great, and hadn't even seen the inside of the Great Hall yet. She wondered if they would walk in together, or what. She wasn't big on making moves. " Heya. " He said with a slight grin on his face. " Dashing, now, huh? " Jake asked her with a soft laugh. He looked over to Talia's friend and smiled. " 'lo. " He said, looking around to see a few other people standing outside of the Great Hall as well. " Wanna go ahead and go in? " Jake asked Talia with a slight nod. He peered into the Great Hall to see that it was dimly lit with large pumpkins floating above the tables and a few lights from the dance floor. Jake wasn't one to dance too much, but if Talia wanted to, then he would. He thought that most girls liked to dance, anyway... Or something like that.

"Yes but I have a secret," he said sarcasted. He then took the mask off and put the hood back. "Mr. Tristan Howard at your service," he said grinning. He again noticed she was a deadly skelton. Reminded him of Jack Sparrow. Er. Captain Jack Sparrow. "So, how long have you been here? Because... Bloody hell," he said interupting himself. He saw there was a Ministry offical in here. "Bummer," he said. He then turned back to Anna," Sorry about that, but how long have you been here.. waiting?" he said undecided. (look at the smiley to know what I mean) Anna looked up at Tristan's face and was glad to see he did show up, but at least she didn't keep him waiting long. Besides, if he did she might have been a bit angry. "I haven't been waiting here very long." Anna shrugged. Then when Tristan muttered ''bloody hell'' she turned around to see a ministry offical. "Something wrong Tristan? You're not in trouble I hope." she told him.

Ty walked over to the enterance into the Great hall and looked around to see if there was any sign of Bloxam. "No, he probably doesn't even dare to show his face after the incident, the coward." he said with a smirk, laughing slightly. He didn't really care one way or the other. If Bloxam did show up there was really nothing he could do about Ty's outfit. Ty then walked over to the table that held the drinks. Getting a couple of punches for him and the two girls he walked back over to where they were and handed one to each of them. "There you go," he said trying not to knock one of them with his feathers. ((Not sure if Abigail is with us or not, just wrote it like she was)) (Since Abi won't be around pretty much..all the rest of August and then school starts, might be better if we just wrote her off and vanishing, after all, D'Angelo ain't here yet to my knowledge :-\) "Thank you..." Lianna replied, taking the offered cup with her right hand. The second year watched as the older students mingled about, for a ball nothing was really happening, but she didn' exactly mind that either. Rarely was Lianan a leader, and this was not one of those rare occasions, no sir. Lianna observed that Abi had taken her drink and seemingly vanished, probably to go and search for Mark again, and, also probably to leave them alone. At least this time she couldn't pin it all on one reason. "So, um...what d'you think?" She questiond, referring mainly to her costume, but it was left openended to perhaps refer to the ball itself as well.

Jynx followed Matty over to the table that was engulfed in shadows. The only light be sent over it was that from a single floating candle. Placing his drink onto the table he watched wondering if the rickty thing would be able to support its weight. Of course it would its probably held up by magic he thought to himself. Taking his hand out of hers he pulled one of the chairs back so that Matty could sit down in it. Then taking the seat right next to her he said, "I hope they start the ball soon," with a smile glancing over towards the dance floor. Matty felt Jynx's hand slip out of her own, noticinf that he was getting something for her to sit on. She turned around to him, facing his full before asking "So, what do you reckon we should do later on tonight? Anything grusome or along the lines of Halloween?" smiling when she did so. Matty took another sip of her grape juice before gazing at the floating candle.

Not really, just back out into the Entrance Hall to wait for Mark. For one, she didn't want to leave the timid boy to think she had stood him up if he showed up while she wasn't there. But mainly the Huffle wanted Lianna and Ty to spend some "quality time" together alone. After thanking the Slytherin for the drink, Abigail slipped silently away from her two friends. She manuervered skillfully (as skillfully as one can in high heels) among the growing crowd, careful not to spill her punch on anyone unlike others -cough Noah cough-. Abby retook her position outside the doors leading to the Great Hall, punch in one hand and the other fidgeting at her side. Was Mark going to stand her up? That would be embarrassing, but the second year decided she would just hang out with Ty and Li-Li for the night if he did.

Alexis turned to see who had started talking to her. By the looks of it, the boy was younger than her by a few years but by how many she wasn't sure. Thinking about what her costume was, she finally decided to give the boy an answer. She never really had a name for it. "I'm...a phoenix." Orignally it was fairy, but for some reason phoenix seemed to be a better discription for it. "Vat about yourself?" she asked him.

"Thats only cause it's still early....and maybe we should have a dance....you know start things rolling" He said in a suggestive tone, he really just wanted to forget what had just happened and do exactly what she had ask, give her time, although now he just felt bad because of her saying no. Ivy smiled at Mike, and was glad that he was trying. She should really cut him some more slack. She took his hand and pursed her lips. "Er... with these shoes?" she pointed to her black high-heeled boots. She really just wanted to go somewhere alone with Mike. People were starting to crowd into the Great Hall, and she was starting to feel sick of everything. "Do you want to go to the Garden instead?" she asked. "The moon's out tonight, it's beautiful," (sorry it took forever to reply..)

A gloved hand pushed the the large doors of the Great Hall, blue eyes scanned the area. His mouth set into a grim line, one which the character that he was dressed as would usually be seen with. He ran through his now blonde hair, his eyes looking for his partner. Seeing the other students dressed so simply, he wondered if he went a bit overbored in his selection of a costume as he looked down at himself.
A navy blue tank top covered his chest as well as loose pants of the same color covered his lower body. A dull red cape that looked like it had seen better days flowed downwards, the front of it all bunched up to cover his lower face. A black, leathery wind portrudes from his back, seeml\ingly stretching of its own accord. A golden claw covered his right hand, looking both sharp and menacing. A brown leather belt was wrapped around his middrift and was hooked around left shoulder. Two black belts with iron ends were also looped around his waist. A sort of metal guard was placed on his right side of his waist, ending about halfway on his leg. To complete his outfit, he dyed his hair blonde and placed blue contacts upon his eyes. His hair was spiked to the point where it defied gravity, towering high and wild. Sora grinned slightly to himself.
He looked incredibly good, he thought. His costume was flawless and his stoic attitude was pinpoint.
"I wonder where Brittany is...and I wonder what she's dressed as..." he mumbled, his blue eyes looking around for her.

But she supposed it was better that he wasn't full of himself. She peeked into the Great Hall and smirked, "Sure, let's go in." She said, taking a step into the room. She walked next to Jake, her hand was loose, but made slight jerking movements every once in a while. She was nervous, but was trying not to show it. The bangles on her arms clicked slightly, and she smiled at everyone she recognized, then turned to Jake, "They did a good job on the decorations, eh?" She asked, looking at the various objects, either on the table, or floating in mid air.

He didn't think much about it and just figured that she went back out to see if she could find her date or something like that. "I think you look great." Ty said with a smile that was destorted because of his oversized beak. "The hall looks great to." he added as an after thought thinking that maybe thats what she meant.

The man had surely hit the nail on the head when he suggested that she was caught up in her own thoughts. Brittany was ever-so bad about that. She had caught the bit of surprise on the man's face at first, but dismissed it without question. He was obviously dressed up, what as she wasn't sure, but it was a bit of a fright to see. Though as his blood red eyes changed to a green the 'scary' effect was gone. She couldn't help but wonder why the man was there in the first place, she knew that he couldn't possibly be a student but he wasn't a professor either. "It's alright, I guess." Brittany lied with a shrug of her shoulders. It was not alright at all. Nothing was going as planned. But she knew that she couldn't help that."More like a bore-fest instead of a fright-fest." She added on, staring out over the crowd of students. Shaking her head she decided that she was going to make the best out of it with whatever she could. It was completely ridiculous to stand around and be bored out of your mind all night. She was going to have fun. Turning on a smile, she looked back up to the man. "What's someone like you doing at the Hogwarts Halloween Ball?" Brittany asked inqusitively. This young woman was ether a terrible liar or was trying to make it obvious that she wasn’t having the greatest time. Ezekiel chuckled lightly at the woman’s ‘bore-fest’ comment, the lame jokes always seem to make him laugh, he gave a glance to the students in the hall to make sure everything was alright before returning his attention to the lovely young lady. “I’d agree, this is rather dull for a Hogwarts event… but then again I’m no kid anymore.” He uttered rather quietly to the woman, making sure no one had heard him, you can never be too careful. He slipped his hand into his pocket to retrieve his papers when she asked but Ezekiel thought he might have a little fun before introducing himself. “And what sort of someone would I be?” he said trying to hold a straight face, but he knew his voice gave it away that mischievous tone was always easy to pick up on, even if his voice was quite deep.
