"Thats only cause it's still early....and maybe we should have a dance....you know start things rolling" He said in a suggestive tone, he really just wanted to forget what had just happened and do exactly what she had ask, give her time, although now he just felt bad because of her saying no. Ivy smiled at Mike, and was glad that he was trying. She should really cut him some more slack. She took his hand and pursed her lips. "Er... with these shoes?" she pointed to her black high-heeled boots. She really just wanted to go somewhere alone with Mike. People were starting to crowd into the Great Hall, and she was starting to feel sick of everything. "Do you want to go to the Garden instead?" she asked. "The moon's out tonight, it's beautiful," (sorry it took forever to reply..) Mike smiled more as Ivy took his hand in her own once more. He had to laugh as she posed her first statement towards him and he had to agree with her there, he didn't want to hurt her. "Sure" Mike replied to her second question, asking him if he wanted to go out to the garden. She was right it would be amazing outside tonight

Brittany had taken one more scan of the Great Hall before turning back to the man when he spoke once more. Of course, as she turned and gave her attention to him, Sora entered. She couldn't help but give a light chuckle as the man stated the obvious of him not being a kid anymore. Though she had taken notice to how he lowered his voice when he said this, the signs kept pointing towards the same thing. As he asked her the last question, she thought it over for a moment. She could either guess and take the chace of being wrong or she could play it off. That was easy to decide.
"Let's see..." Brittany started and put a finger to her lips to give the impression she was thinking hard about it, "You already said you're not a student, you couldn't be a professor since they would never socialize with students outside of the class, and I don't think that you're evil wizard here to massacre the entire place...." The girl smiled coyly at the last comment and then added in a low tone as if it was a secret, "You're too nice."
There was no doubt he was ministry. The Headmistress nor would anyone else at Hogwarts allow someone to come to the Halloween ball that wasn't. It was too early to give back that trust, what with everything that's been showing up in the papers lately.

Ezekiel grinned, listening to the woman, his eyes flicked quickly to the new face that had just came through the door then back again. "Too nice am I?" he snickered, looking down at the woman, he then gave a quirky little smile and whispered "Should I be meaner so I'm not so obvious?" His eyes shifted color again to a soft violet hue which seemed to suit his now pale complexion.
"I think you have already realized I work for the ministry" he said in a normalized voice, drawing his hand hand from his pocket. "Ezekiel Neverwood; Auror, but you can call me Zeke." He then extended his hand to the young woman to shake. He wondered for a moment if it was best to be introducing himself to random students, he then remembered something about Hogwarts; A secret in Hogwarts is called common knowledge. He grinned inwardly, almost everyone would know who he was in no time at all.

Ash sighed, this was seriously not as fun as she expected, when was ANYONE going to start dancing, my god. She would have been dancing already if she had a date ((not))-- ughh, this was really ticking her off, and where was everyone else? She sighed again, seeing all the couples around her, Lauren and Noah, Lianna and Ty, Dean and Keagan, Talia and-- she narrowed her eyes, Jake--he was up to no good-- Ivy and Mike. She cdould hardly stand this anymore, she was doing exactly what she promised herself that she wouldn't do- mope around.
Ash shut her eyes for a second, frustrated that no one was doing anything and how lame she was acting.

Ivy led Mike out of the Great Hall and outside into the gardens. It was silent except for the quiet night ambience and the occasional shriek of laughter coming from some random direction. It was a clear night and the harvest moon was out. She sat on a stone bench next to a patch of flowers and brushed the hair away from her face.
The night was perfect, but Ivy just didn't feel as happy as she probably should have. There were a lot of things on her mind. She felt guilty that she was ruining Mike's night as well. Ugh, I need to make it up to him... She decided to remain quiet and not say anything until Mike spoke.

Mike sunk into a seat next to Ivy and looked out across the grounds, it was truely an amazing site to see, the moon full and beautifully placed over the lake, heaps of stars hung in the sky, reflecting in the lake like diamonds. And he was sitting with the most beautiful girl he knew.
What could make this any better....
Mike smiled at Ivy and took her hand in his own.
"How bout you take those heels off and we can dance out here...away from prying eyes...its the perfect setting for it"
He said to her in a soft voice.

She shivered slightly at the vibrations of his voice and she found her hand in his. Her translucent skin shone pink in the moon light and she nodded slowly as she reached down and pulled her boots off. She grinned at him, stood up and pulled him to his feet.
"Come on Mike," Her green eyes looked stunning, and they were focused only on Mike. She was not going to ruin the moment with her idiocy any more. Mike deserved better than her; didn't he? Ivy felt selfish that she could steal him away just for a moment like this.

Mike smiled as she stood up after taking her boots off....maybe the night would end as perfect as it could be. His arms slid down the Ivy's hips and he smiled as he looked at her, she truely was the one Mike had been waiting for....and seen as though Britt hadn't shown any interest in him before this year, he had decided to steer clear of that possibility.
"Your amazing Ivy"
He whispered in her ear as he pulled he in closer

Ivy pressed her body against Mike's and let him hold her closer. She could feel his heart beat next to hers, and his warmth over took her. She rested her chin on Mike's shoulder as much as she could comfortably-- seeing that he was tall (but so was she!). Closing her eyes, she took in the night and it nearly overwhelmed her. Entwining their fingers together, Ivy nudged against Mike's face and brushed her lips against the side of his mouth.
She decided to stay silent and just enjoy this time together. Mike could take her away from what had been happening in her life up to that point. Ivy could hide her stress well, but inside she was scared, confused and worried. No one really understood Ivy. Ivy was just the outrageous, strange, eccentric, materialistic girl. It was something that only he could do-- he could bring her serenity. She opened her eyes and they met the moon. Give me only a little longer...

Mike and Ivy swayed slowly together, in the brilliance of the night, to their own music....the music that Mother Nature provided them on that night. It was just great to get away from the school and out into the courtyard, so they could be alone. It just felt so right.
Mike smiled as Ivy's lips brushed against his own, it was then when he kissed her softly, only a short kiss but it had his true feelings in it, the way he truely felt about Ivy.
And only she would be able to tell...

Ash stood up eruptively, "Ugh, I can't take it anymore!" she said aloud angrily, all these couples! Why...? She glared at everyone and stomped out of the room. She was really doing a bad job of having a good time.
Ash threw her hands up in the night air as she left the building, outside felt good although it hardly soothed her frustration at everything ((does that make sense?)). She opened her mouth widely, to find herself screaming things that didn't make any sense-- although it felt so good. "STUPID BALL!,"mumble, mumble.
Ash stopped immediately as she noticed someone a few feet away from her... ehh? She set her hands down and blushed furiously, there wasn't one but two! Who were they, she couldn't make them out in the dark although as she moved closer she indeed found that it was Mike and Ivy. She glared at Mike, her teeth clenching together, wanting to punch him for touching her sister. What? You don't even like Ivy, he can touch her all that he wants... wait! No! Thats not what I meant, not what it sounded like! Oh god... please don't start caring for Ivy... She couldn't help it though. "Sorry for interrupting.." she started off, shoving her hand in between Mike and her sister.

It was perfect until she felt a hand slither across her bosom. Ivy shrieked blushed furiously, pushing Mike away. On instinct, she slapped him across the face, still holding onto her bosom. Then she realized that Ash was the one who touched her and...
Wait--what? Where did Ash come from?
Ivy collapsed on her knees, feeling terribly confused and exhausted. She sat on the ground, clutching a crushed flower near by. She didn't know what to say.

Ash continued to give her venomous glare at Mike, "Don't touch my sister..." she hissed under her breath, " or you die..." she finished, You're not really going to kill him... I might. she thought to herself, knowing that the last part was fake, she lost a duel to a second year for god's sake!-- although that second year did cheat, the duel was over then she shot an unexpected spell at Ash. Ughh, she didn't want to relive the memory.
Her glare softened although it still resembled the glare her mother used to give people when she was angry-- kind of scary actually, " I told you before, fon't try anything funny-- this is crossing the line,"

Keagan's head jerked up, looking at Beni wide-eyed. 'Oh, that girl's gonna pay...' she thought as she turned to see Dean approaching, though she knew that nothing of the sort would ever happen. Keag liked Benita too much...besides, she had been hoping to see Dean at this ball at some point. The flush on the sixth year's face was paler now, though still present, and a small smile was on her lips. The color was probably ruining her costume, though. For a fleeting moment, Keagan wished she would've thought to use a white foundation or paint of some sort to maintain the pale complexion of her character. It was took late to worry about that, though.
"Hi Dean," Keag greeted quietly, though the boy seemed to wish to meet her friend. She gestured to each in turn as she went about making the the introductions herself. "Beni Hendrix, Dean Quinn. Dean, Beni. Nice costume, by the way, Dean. Phantom?" Keagan had attended a showing of Phantom of the Opera on Broadway once when she was younger and still living in Rhode Island the year round.

Esmerelda didn't know him, she had no idea if he was single or not, what his hair color was, what classes he took, or even what house he was in. But in time, hopefully she would know. She hoped he was good company because so far, he had been. She sipped her drink and listened to his response, nodding her head slightly. She was glad he didn't question her about her costume, the reason why she didn't know whow she was. Es smiled.
"Impressive. I like the originality... and the Red Death, it's a lovely costume.."
She replied. She was impressed that he didn't just go with being the phantom, as she glanced around seeing that there was, indeed others who were dressed as him, but he went as The Red Death. It showed he was creative in his costume picking at least. Es, glanced around wondering who the other Phantoms were and if they were a little discouraged at the fact of other Phantoms. As she glanced around the room, she couldn't help but get lost in all the amazing costumes. But when she realized that he was speaking to her, she looked back to him, a slight blush appearing on her pale cheeks.
She smiled and tucked her long black hair behind her ear as she listened to him. She had only been joking about the woman of his dreams. She usually wouldn't say such a thing but thought, why not. And it didn't seem to do any harm. A little harmless flirting never hurt anybody..
"Time is the thing that will tell all.."
She replied mysteriously.
