Krissy's unease setteled slightly as Pat reassured her that it could work between Ari and Dan and that they just needed to sort it out a little bit. She smiled again having had Pat reassure her. only slightly, but still, it was a smile. She didn't want Ari upset or sad or to have a bad night so Krissy really hoped things went well between her and Dan.
But all thoughts of Ari and Dan were swept out of her mind as Pat told her to close her eyes and that he had something for her. She hadn't expected anything, not did she expect many people to remember her birthday, she never did, with the halloween ball on on the same night everyones minds were always on that. But that was fine with Krissy. An excitedness flashed in her eyes as a huge smile formed accross her face. She couldn't help but laugh slightly with Pats comment of no peeking. she put her hands over her eyes jokingly the fingers spread wide and her eyes still open. "Like this?" she asked him playfully. It was very obvious she could still see.

Nervous, a bit. Embarrassed, highly. Worried how he'd take her compliment, definitely. He made no reply to her comment aside from silence, being unable to really see his eyes the girl didn't rightly know how to deal with it. Silence. It hut in a way, but it was a comfort in another, and she wasn't sure which of the two meant more to her. Her eyes found their way back to the punch bowl and she quietly refilled her cup. He did however choose to comment on her 'distaste' of the decor. It wasn't that she didn't like it, but rather, she was slightly feared of it. Shaken. He suggested they go elsewhere, sincerity evident even through the slit of beak. "No...no, this si what I came here for...well, ont the decor exactly but...I mean, you...the dance...I mean..." She didn't know how to reply, she would be jittery all night no matter where they disappeared to so it didn't really matter on that aspect. She liked him, but couldn't bring herself to say it. Or had she said it and not realized it, like she had to Abi? Perhaps that was the reason he didn't reply... Merlin, could one ask for death by paranoia? Ty grinned a little when she said that she had came to the ball for him. He knew that she really couldn’t see his facial expressions through his costume, so he decided to make it clear that he was glad she had came with him too. “Great, I’m glad you came for me, I mean the ball.” he said still beaming. “That is exactly why I came to, for you and the ball.” He was glad that he was at the ball with her. It made it twice as fun as it would have been had he came alone. He would have still came of course, after all he had made the costume for a reason. This reminded him, “Oh well that and to pock fun at Bloxam if he ever shows up.” Ty added as an after thought shrugging a little.

Lianna was silent for what seemed an eternity, her eyes flicking around for a sign of anyone else she coudl easily recognize even costumed. Anyone so she could bounce over and avoid answering that remark, she saw Pat and Krissy...heck she'd seen them when they left for the ball earlier...interrupting them wasn't rightly fair. There wasn't anyone else she really knew...or rather, knew that she could see.
He said he'd came for her, and for some reaosn she doubted that, all he'd talked about whenever she brought up the topic of the ball was how he'd be a dig at that Bloxam fellow. She actually had came for him, it had taken her weeks to get the courage to ask him and it was her asking that had bound her to this occasion. Maybe her emotions were misplaced...maybe.
Her mouth opened as though to say something, but closed a mere half moment later. Maybe she'd been wrong. How do you reply to the boy you think you like, when he might not even like you at all? Her eyes focused in on her punch cup as she drifted off into her thoughts, sorting them out at the moment took top priority over much of anything else.
There for her? Was he really?

After having a great time up in the towers, Matty and Jynx returned into the hall. Since they left, the ball hadn't really gotten up and running, but more people were there. Smiling when walking back into the hall, Matty felt Jynx hand in her own. Once through the doors, the same appearence gloomed through her eyes, making them a bottle green if someone was to look into them. Glancing around the hall again, to see if anhone she knew had arrived in the ball since they had left. Looking to Jynx and grining, they made their way over to a wall. Leaning back on it she said "So...what now?" smiling at him.

Verina hadn't really thought of going to the Hollow's Eve dance since she'd never been one to attend dances and even less she wasn't even sure she'd heard of one of these dances before, Halloween one's that is. Only reason she even knew abut the dance was because Matty had told her about it.
Since Matty had convinced it that'd be fun she'd decided to go only problem was that she'd had no clue what the hell to wear. But she eventually got really into designing her costume and now here she was at the Hallows Eve ball.
From head to foot she looked like a person of eleven descent that that was perhaps a master of archery. She'd left her hair down to flow about her shoulders placing only a simple broach in her hair as well as a ribbon. Her only accesories being two gold bracelets, a ribbon choker around her neck, a bow, and arrows slung at her side. Her out fit was a soft pale purple with blue diamond shaped accents at the hems. The undermost layer consisted of a tube top dress that extended to just about an inch above her knees second and third layers where at her waist the one below flowed down to barely skim the floor, open at the front and a shorter layer above of the same like ending at about her thighs. The only spell she'd use was to make her ears pointed.
(ooc: Will make more sense in pic. link in sig.)
Spotting Matty and Jynx she grinned. She just had to say hi to Matty and if she got a cue they wanted some alone time she'd scamper off, "Hey guys," she smiled coming to stop before them, "You both look great!"

Dean nodded and answered Beni, " Good, and yourself? " He asked this just as someone walked up behind Beni and put a knife to her throat. He recognized the person as Lily and laughed. " Hey, Lily, you two. " He answered her greeting and compliment. When Lily brought up who to kill first, Dean raised his hand, " I volunteer myself for this one. " He tried to say it with a straight face as he dropped his hand back to his side, but couldn't help but laughing. Dean looked over and spotted some drinks, then offered, " Would any of you like something to drink? "

"I'd bet my left shoe that he's the Phantom of the Opera," Keagan said to Beni with a confident nod. She had asked to clarify, and Benita had admitted ignorance, but Dean hadn't replied to either. Perhaps she hadn't given him a chance. As for Lily...if the other two hadn't recognized the Ravenclaw, Keagan would have had no clue as to who it was drawing a weapon on the older Lioness. Her eyes got wide as she tilted her head slighty in an attempt to make out the resemblance. She had no idea how the other two had guessed it. "'That really you, Lily? I never would've thought so...and thank you. Your costume tops mine ten-fold, though." The Eagle had really gone all out...and it was indeed frightful, as Beni had said. Then came Dean's inquiry. "I could go for something...what do you think they have over there?" ((I just noticed this...and I'm sorry for the OOC...but I just had to point out that this here post...#1000 baby!! Party in Gryffindor house ))

"Well, I think it's tradition to off the firsties first," Beni said, but strictly joking. "Thanks, Lily! Blimey, you've got it going on, girl." Smiling to Dean, she said, "Well, I'm 99.9% parched. I could really use some punch. What about you Keagan and Lily, darlings?" She really wanted to get Keagan to prep herself for when Dean came back around. Beni had a goal to reach.

" Yes, the Phantom, at your service. " Dean said with a light smirk, his mask still in his hands as he bowed to all three of them. When he stood up and heard Keag's question he answered, " Probably just some punch. I'll just go fetch a few for all of us. " He said to Beni now because she had been the one to ask about Keag and Lily wanting somethign to drink. " I'll be back. " He said and walked over to the drink and snack table to see the choices... Butterbeer, punch. He shrugged and started filling a few cups.

Ok so he was going to come to the ball with or without a date just to get his dig in, but know that he was here with Lianna he really couldn’t have imagined himself coming alone. In fact at the moment he really didn’t care if Bloxam showed up or not and if he got his little dig in or not. The only thing that mattered to him at the moment was having a good time with Lianna and not worrying about anything else. Though by the looks of it the night wasn’t going exactly like planned or shall we say hoped. The silence was starting to make even him a little more nervous than he had been in quite a long time. He didn’t have a clue what to say next, but knew if the silence continued that he would go mad. He wasn’t one of those people that could just hold still or stand in silence for very long. “Listen.” He finally said when he could no longer take the silence between them. It was like he could tell what she was thinking and that she didn’t really believe that he had came to the ball to see her. That the only reason he was here was to get a dig in, which wasn’t true at all. True he had been planning on getting his dig in, but he also hadn’t really known if he was indeed going to go to the ball until she had asked him. It was that fact above the rest that had made him come. “I’m really glad that I came with you to the ball and your right I probably would have came anyways, but now that I’m here with you I couldn’t imagine coming with anyone else.” Ty said genuinely.

Silence, well, silence from her at least. The rest of the Ball was moving all aorund her without a hinderment, an older Slytheirn came over by the punch bowl and she sidestepped to give him a bit of room. It was better than having punch perhaps accidently spilled on her, though she seriously doubted it could get any worse than it already had for her. Without even speaking in her eyes the distance between them wasn't mere feet, but half the room. Rather, that's what it felt like.
He finally spoke when she could find no words, and even though she really didn't want to hear him, even though she wanted to walk away, she didn't. She couldn't, not because she cared, but because she didn't have the anger to walk away. She just had confusion. Confusion as to his motives, his mind, his, everything. The reality wa,s as much as she thought she knew him, she didn't know him at all.
When he finally finished speaking, Lianna turned her head only enough so her eyes could glance at him. "I never said anything. So you don't know what I'm thinking. You don't know if I'm right, or wrong, I don't even know that. Are you really glad? Because I don't think you are, and if I'm so right. Then thank you for telling me." Lianna finished, her voice not loud, not yelling, heck she was still pretty certain no one had even noticed her. And such was probably for the better, the less of a scene, the less it would matter in the long run. If there even was to be a long run.
And with that, her punch cup went to the trash, and Lianna walked toward the doors, still trying to comprehend everything she felt inside, everything she didn't understand.

Ty just stood there simply stunned at the way Lianna had reacted. The only thing he cared about tonight was having fun and he planned on doing that with or without her there with him. When she chucked her cup into the trash and headed for the doors Ty didn't really feel the need to go after her. After all they weren't really in a serious relationship or anything, they had just come to the ball together. He knew by her silence what she was thinking and thats why he said what he did. He was just trying to make the night fun for both of them, but maybe thats not how it was suppose to be.
Changing his mind he decided that he wanted to know what had gotten her so pissed off at him and jogged over to where she was. Stepping in front of her he said, with a hint of frustration in his voice, "Look I don't know whats going on here. All I wanted to do was come and have fun, so why don't you tell me what the problem is here."

As soon as Dean was well out of earshot, Beni rashly took hold of Keagan's shoulders and directed her to face her. "Keags! Alright, we only have so little time. Posture up, hands at...SIDES, Keagan, sides! What else? Oh yes," Beni fiddled with Keagan's hair. It was already looking splendid, but she just wanted it to be splendid...er. "Darling... what do you think of this bloke? Man of your dreams, or what?" She smirked.

She wasn't angry, as a matter of fact her voice had been relatively calm in tone. What she was, was confused, and she was someone who tended to try and run from what, or in this case whom, they couldn't understand. Sure she probably could've talked it out with him, and sure it probably would've ended better than that, but when one was this uncertain about what was going on, what she herself felt, did any change in path or redirection really matter?
Halfway, two thirds, three quarters, and then a wall of feathers. She'd almost made it without reaction. She hadn't looked athim to see his reaction, because hse didn't want to see it. She just wnated to go back to the common room. That was it. But such wasn't to be as he jabbed a volley of questions at her demanding an explanation as though it, as though she suddenly mattered. Psh. She had been nervous all night, she had tried to talk to him, heck she'd wanted to dance with him. But if she couldn't even manage talking, how wouldt hat go any better? It wouldn't.
"If you don't know, then I won't tell you. I don't want to talk about it, I just want to go back to the common room." Lianna replied, sidestepping the mass of feathers and mortality. Was it too much to ask to simply want to leave? After all, all that was going on was just talking from what she could ascertain. She wasn't really missing much of anything.

Ok he was now totally confused. This was a night that was supposed to be full of having fun and dancing and now all it was full of was something that he didn’t understand. Not to mention that it looked like whatever was bothering her he couldn’t fix. He just couldn’t seem to figure out these girls and their mood swings. She obviously thought that he should be able to figure it out though, but he was still clueless as to what was bothering her. He wasn’t going to force her to tell him or even talk to him any more for that matter, if she didn’t want to. The only thing that it could lead to would be a incident in front of everyone and he didn’t want that.
“Fine. If that’s what you want.” Ty said with no hint of frustration or anger. In fact it didn’t contain anything except for the fact that it was just lower than normal. “I won’t stop you, but if you want to talk about it then I’m willing to.”
