“I know what you mean sometimes the city life just gets so hectic and small towns are nice to just get away from all of the rushing about and live a calmer life.” Jack said.
“Looking forward to seeing some of it.” he said zipping his coat up and following Verina out the inn doors. As he reached the outside he just paused taking in the view. It was great there was iced hills and trees everywhere and the sound of running water could be heard. Looking around a bit more he noticed that the sound was coming from a river near by that lead into a lake a bit further away. “This is a great place.” he said, mostly to himself, when he had finished taking in all of the sights.
“Will do.” Jack said to Brian as he went to leave with their luggage, “Ya will probably see you again before we leave.” With this he watched as Brain disapparated with all of their things. He wished he knew how to do that it would make some things a lot more easier, but no he had a couple of more years before he could get his licence, almost exactly two to be exact since he had just had his fifteenth birthday. Then turning his attention back to Verina he said, “I think that it is great so far. You live in a really nice place.”

Verina smiled as she looked at Jack, "Thanks to be honest i haven't explored it all too much since we moved here a few months before i transferred to Hogwarts," she said taking in the view around here, "But the people were so nice here that they welcomed me and my dad into their community."
"As you can tell by Brian who you just met. He really knows how to get under my skin," she said with a slight shake of her though laughter was heard in her voice, "Did manage to cheer me up with his antics though when i first moved her. I'm glad you two got along. But no listening to anything Brian says Okay?" Verina said her tone serious not matching the smile on her face.

“Ya the people seem to be nice and open to strangers.” Jack said still smiling and looking around. He had gotten the feeling in the inn that the people of the community were pretty nice and he was glad that they had decided to come to Verina’s house instead of his own. Of course his parents would have been nice and everything, there just wasn’t that much to see or do around his house. Maybe there was and he had just forgotten about it because he was so used to everything there, having lived there his whole life. He probably took a lot of it for granted.
“I could tell that.” he said with a laugh. He had found Brian’s antics towards Verina pretty amusing, well after he had given up questioning him. “He seems like a nice guy.” Jack continued just deciding not to remark to her last statement.

"Yeah one of the things i like about it here. I just hope we wont be moving again," Verina said her lips creasing in a slight frown, "I like Hogwarts and i've made some good friends," as she said her last final words she looked at Jack since he was the one that had gone all this way with her at the risk of getting caught and in trouble, "Sometime i'll have to see where your from," Verina said with a smile have jokingly but at the same time meaning it that is if Jack wanted to.
"Yeah he is," Verina said though raising her eyebrows since she'd noted that Jack had avoided her question, "Ready to head up?" she asked with a smile as she stretched her arms up into the air, "And i'm waiting for an answer?" he said with a sideways smile as she looked over at him.

“You will just have to convince him to stay.” Jack said thinking that he didn't know how she could stand changing schools so often. It would drive him crazy. He was used to Hogwarts and couldn't imagine going else where and decided to voice this thought, “I like Hogwarts too. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else, but it might be because I haven’t been anywhere else.”
He smiled when he said she would have to come to his house sometime. “Ya you should come and see where I’m from one of these days.” he said with a smile, thinking that it would be great if she came and visited him. He thought that they would have to make it through this first, since he was pretty sure if they were caught his parents would kill him. The risk was what made it fun, well that and seeing new places that he wouldn’t get too otherwise.
“An answer?” Jack questioned, with a slight smile, knowing perfectly well what she wanted. He had been avoiding the statement and still was for that matter. He would answer her if she kept pressing him, but he was having fun with her at the moment.

"Yeah. This time i wont stay quiet," Verina said with a determined look lighting up her features, "True. But maybe we may just change that on our little 'trip'," she said with a grin her excitement for their adventure to begin quietly bubbling under the surface.
"That'd be nice since after all seems like your going to be seeing my current home and my first one," Verina replied with a smile. She'd really like to see Jack's homes and meet his parents since from what he had told her about his family and from the rest she'd inferred they seemed like nice people. She just hoped they didn't get caught and they didn't end up hating her for dragging their son along with her.
Verina pouted slightly at his smile he really had taken a leaf out of Brian's book by the looks of things, "Next time i see Brian i'm gonna kill him," she mumbled under her breath though Jack could probably still here her, "Yes, an answer?" she said her slight pout remaining, "And while i try to get an answer out of you we can start walking," a hint of amusement shone through her voice.

Jack was glad to see the determined look on her face, maybe she would at last get to stay in one place and not have to run. “Ya at least I will be able to say that I’ve been to Wales and Germany .” Jack said still smiling, “Though I don’t know who I could tell, since we are doing it in secret.” At this he gave a little laugh. He could just imagine his parents expression if he slipped and said he had gone to Wales and Germany. They would be like, ‘When I don’t recall ever being there? Is there something you haven’t told us?’ and on and on and on. He would just have to make sure he never talked about it in front of them.
“I’m sure that my parents would love to meet you and bore you to death with medical stories.” he said laughing. His parents couldn’t help but talk about there jobs and he knew that if she came to his house she would be exempt from it.
Jack just continued laughing when she went on about Brian. Of course he could still hear her, but at least she wanted to kill Brian and not him. “Yes, lets start moveing.” he said. He hadn’t even realized that they hadn’t started their little hike to the house yet, “Let see what was the question again?” he asked starting to walk.

Verina just had to laugh at that, "True. Though you'll be able to say to the whole world once you turn eighteen or graduate whichever comes first," she said with a grin thinking about that, "Hmm...... maybe we should take pictures or something of our trip so at least we will have the memory with us. What do you think?" she asked since though they couldn't tell anyone at least this way they'd still have proof that they'd gone and have a physical form of the memories.
"I wouldn't mind," Verina replied with a grin, "It takes alot to bore me believe me. Also i don't think your parents are all that bad," she said since she knew that Jack was just pulling her leg so to speak about his parents.
Verina stood frozen to the spot her mouth slightly apart as Jack asked her what the question was again and began to walk away, "Hey! wait one minute mister," she said running up to him and matching his pace beside him, "We both know you remember the question," she said raising her eyebrows wondering if he'd still deny it.

“Ya maybe when I turn eighteen I’ll break it to them what their little angle was doing at Hogwarts.” Jack said with a grin. He didn’t even know if he would dare to then, even though there would be nothing they could really do about it he had a feeling that they still would kill him. “That is a great idea. We should take lots of pictures of our trip.” he said thinking that it would be fun to have proof that they actually did it, even though they couldn’t really show anyone.
“No there not that bad.” Jack said.
Jack just walked away smiling. He continued to walk until he heard her say, ‘Hey! Wait one minute mister.’ He just had to laugh. It had been along time since he had heard that and if he remembered right it was his mom yelling it the last time. Slowing down until she caught up to him he just continued to laugh. “What question?” he asked with a smirk on his face, still playing dumb.

"Angel. Huh?" Verina said with a laugh, "You must got them down and fooled because i know Mr. Roarbitz is no innocent angel," she said with a sly grin as she looked at Jack because any person willing to run away with her so to speak could not be an angel at least not in this lifetime, "Great! I think i got some film at home if not then we can go into town later or something," she grinned, "No i didn't think they were because your not that bad."
"I'm so killing Brian he better not be at my house when i get there or he's gonna get it good," Verina said coming to stop and stomping her foot into the light layer of snow that powdered the ground her pout remaining in place. Jack's continual laughing wasn't helping anything a mischevious smile came to her lips as she thought of something.
"You know what i'm talking about," Verina called in reply to him as she bent down and padded snow into a ball in her mittened hands, "Well since Brian's not here," she said under her breath as Jack walked ahead, "Hey Jack," she called taking on the sweetest smile upon her lips as Jack looked back at her. Before he had a chance to realize what she was about to do she threw the snow ball at him and laughed as it splattered on him.

“Really? I’m hurt that you don’t think I’m an angel.” Jack said laughing his words not matching his tone. She knew him to well, at least, that is the way it seemed. He wasn’t a prefect little angel, but where his parents were concerned he was. They knew nothing of his going ons at Hogwarts and he planned on keeping it that way as long as he could.
“Ya we’ll have to because I didn’t even think to pack any film or my camera.” he said slightly perplexed at why he had thought that he wouldn’t need it or that it wouldn’t come in handy. He just grinned when she said he wasn’t that bad so his parents couldn’t be.
He thought that the slight temper tantrum was quite cute, the way that she was talking to herself and stomping her foot. “Haven’t a clue,” he said with a light airy tone. He didn’t really get her next comment until he heard her call his name and turned around just in time to get plastered in the face with snow. Laughing and dusting himself off he said, “That’s not fair.” Then he bent down and grabbed some snow forming it into a lightly packed ball and threw it back her direction.

Verina couldn't stop laughing as Jack joined her in her laughter and began to dust himself off, "All is fair in love and war," she said grinning since in a sense they were having a little 'war' and though the phrase was very much cliqshue she couldn't help using it. She watched him as he moved since she was sure he'd be out for revenger.
Just as Jack launched a well aimed snowball at her she managed to dodge it in the last moment before it could reach her, "Aww.... seems your aims a little off," she said in a teasing tone as she stuck her tongue slightly out at him, "You ready to give me an answer mister?" she asked with a smile from the new place she stood slightly further up the hill, "Cause i don't think you'll win."

Jack couldn’t believe that his snowball had failed to make contact, but then again she knew it was coming and had time to dodge it, something that he didn’t have the luxury of doing since she had taken him by surprise. “True. All is fair in love and war.” he said still laughing slightly and bending down for another bit of snow.
He just grinned as Verina said that his aim was a little off. It was true that snowball hadn’t made contact, but he wasn’t through with this little ‘war’ just yet. “Not just yet,” he said as he used the snow in his hand to form a snowball. “We’ll I’m not just going to surrender.” Jack said still laughing. He might not win the war but he wasn’t going to given in at the moment, maybe, he would after he got hit a few times, but for the most part he wasn’t a quitter. This time after he formed the snowball he went charging after her and throw it mid stride. This surely wouldn’t help his aim but maybe it wouldn’t give her as much time to dodge it as he had given her before.

(Thanks and that really sucks. seems we're both having problems. i hope you get everything working.) Verina only grinned in reply in all honestly she hadn't expected Jack to answer any other way and if he had just given in she'd have been surprised and slightly disappointed, "And you shouldn't... at least not yet," she said her smile turning mischevious and slightly playful. It just wouldn't be fun if he gave in right away. Since she had been watching him charge her she hadn't been watching the snowball in his hand and that that cost her. In that split second it took her to realize what his intent was he'd launched a snowball at her and this time she hadn't had a chance to dodge. His snowball hit her square in the shoulder barely missing her face. Verina's mouth dropped though she laughed, "I can't believe you just did that," she said bending down and collecting some more snow and patting it hastily into a somewhat ball form, "Hmm... now where to aim," she said bouncing the snowball slightly to perhaps distract him before throwing it at him not sure where it would fall once it left her hand.

It appeared that this time his aim was true. The snowball had hit her on the shoulder. Seeing this Jack just smiled as he came skidding to a halt only a few feet away from her. He didn’t even realize that she had picked up some snow, since he was concentrating on staying upward having tried to stop on black ice. It wasn’t until she was wondering aloud where to aim that he finally noticed that she had a snowball in her hands.
He watched as she tossed the snowball up and down in her hands. He didn’t really know what she had in mind for this snowball, but he did know that if she threw it at him at such a close range that it was likely to hurt a bit. He wasn’t going to run for it though, because she would still hit him anyways. “At that tree over there.” Jack said jokingly, pointing in the tree’s direction. “Certainly not at me.”
((I am off to bed for tonight. I will try and get my computer up and running with AIM tomorrow. Hopefully everything will work ok.))
