"Do my eyes still look funny?" she pushed back her cloak, revealing her face. Her eyes were still their usual sapphire blue, but looked slightly rounder than normal, the pupils somehow elongated into slits, much like a lizard's. "It's been happening every morning, but by the time I can find anyone to ask about it, it's gone."

{like I would really notice that?}
"They look bigger," Drew answered with a shrug, figuring it was just Ari opening her eyes wider.

"Like this..." Drew answered, opening his own eyes wide.

Arianna rolled her eyes at Drew.
"Well, that's just silly," she claimed, flicking more water at Drew.

"Hey, you asked!" Drew answered, flinching away from the splashing again.

"And they really look like that?" Arianna asked, flicking even more water at Drew. She returned the look the boy had given her, widening her eyes to an impossibly large size until they appeared close to the size of a galleon.

"Bigger," Drew teased, wanting to see if Ari could make those almond shaped eyes of hers even rounder than she already had.
"You still didn't tell me where you were off to," he reminded her. She definitely looked like she was ready for some sort of trip.

With one last splash, Arianna settled back down on the tiles. She shrugged her shoulders once again.
"Just to the library," the girl replied. "And maybe out to the courtyard if it's nice out."

"You look like you're ready for a big ole trip," Drew told her splashing a little in the tub.

"What? Because of the cloak?" she asked, instinctively throwing her hands up to keep any water from getting in her face.

"Uh yeah..." Drew answered with a smirk. "Since when do you need a cloak to go into the library?"

"Since I didn't want anyone to see my buggy eyes and green skin," Arianna replied, giving another shrug. That very matter was her reason for going to the library in the first place.

"Green skin?" Drew asked. He was just about to go under and give himself a good soaking when he stopped and gave her an odd look. "What do you mean green? You look okay to me."
Of course, he couldn't see her very well with the stupid cloak on.

"That's what I was trying to show you earlier," Arianna explained, pushing her sleeves up again. Sure enough, there was nothing there. "But it's gone now. And you're sure my eyes look normal?"
