Nice weather, the sun shining. One wouldn't have known it was October but for the fact that the leaves were changing. Today the air was warm enough not bother with a sweater. Odd for fall, but nice for quidditch.
Stepping out onto the field, Ryder took a look around and smiled contentedly. The stands were already filling and the teams were getting ready in their locker rooms. He was eager to start the match soon.

Blonde Artemis Tayern was in the lockers, Hell he was young but he was small and fast, why else would one think he made seeker? he was ready to kick some gryffie butt and he was gonna do it royally. Artemis had eaten a very light breakfast consisting of just toast and some scrambled eggs. The mixture of his small breakfast, how fast he ate and how early he was to breakfast was the reason he was so early to the lockers, he was gonna do what it took to find the snitch even if he had to run himself into the ground, this was how he planned on playing each game. He push his other thought out of his head this mourning so he could play without interference, he probably would pay for this later but to him it was worth it; pushing his emotions away usually caused a surge later when he let them back but he would control them as always, or so he thought.
Artemis was sitting on a bench and he was flexing his arm as if the snitch was within his grasp as he placed on his quidditch gloves on, they had been designed as to give support to the wrists, and help keep one's arm from twisting. Artemis tucked his wand into his boot, he had read up on the subject and found that you were allowed to carry but not USE your wand at most any time. as he was covering his wand back up he heard the sounds of footsteps. " 'ello, " Artemis told whoever it was whom entered, he was nervous and he couldn't help being so jittery.

Well. Daniel. He was eager for one thing : to beat Charlie to the locker rooms. Peeking his head into the Slytherin locker room and took a quick glance around before letting a smile play on his lips. No Charlie. Empty. Maybe she had given up trying to beat him at everything? Oh he hoped so. He was about to give in. Hearing a peeped 'ello, Daniel looked around the room once again, squinting his currently dark eyes (they must have been getting weaker) around the room, he searched all the benches before landing on the only first year character. " 'Ello." The seventh year chimed, resenting the fact he wanted to say that Laberynth line.
Taking a few steps into the locker room, his foots echoed quite loudly throughout the otherwise quiet room. The reason being he was a heavy walker - he took pride in his stride ((ooc: I didn't mean for that to rhyme xP)), and therefore, heavy feet it was. Stopping at locker number 2038, he twisted the combination lock an entire four times before grumbling and taking out his wand. Opening the lock, he changed into his Quidditch Uniform before sitting on the opposite bench to the only firstie on the team. Little munchkin may he add.

Having walked down to the quidditch pitch early, Brittany now pressed on the door that lead into the locker rooms. She was not surprised to find it entirely empty, except for her self, since she had just left the rest of the team in the Great Hall. The girl hadn't felt that hungry but leave it up to the co-captain to make her force something down. So as soon as she had downed a glass of orange juice and a piece of dry toast, she had escaped the growing crowd to head out across the warm, buzzing fields.
The air seemed to be dry and crisp, very warm for October but the girl had barely paid attention to it. She was more concerned about the upcoming quidditch season. Gryffindor, one could say politely, had not done so bad but hadn't done great either. The blunt point of the matter was that they had lost and came in dead last. Brittany felt compelled to change that this year. It was her last year and she was the captain. She felt like she had let down her house last year, but would feel even worse to lose like that this year.
Changing into her things quickly, she laid down on one of the cold benches. Taking a long withdrawl of air in, she closed her eyes and attempted to clear her mind. She knew that she needed to stop thinking about it so much, but that was one of her big problem. Overthinking things. Realizing that she was doing it again, she turned over on to her stomach in frustration. Wrapping her arms around the bench, she waited for the sound of the door swinging open.

A moment later, Charlie appeared by the locker room door. Fully dressed in the qudditch uniform, she looked around to see that some of her teammates had arrived. DJ would have to count his woes, for she had been there earlier, getting ready and shaking out her nerves. But she had forgotten something back in the dorms, so she had rushed back. But one could see she was there, for her regular clothes were tossed in a corner. Better luck next time, DJ.
"How's my team doing?" She hollered, clapping her hands to get some sound in the still room. "We're gonna get it all done, man. We're doin' some huntin' today!"

" umm Charlie? can I have a word?" Artemis asked the girl who just entered the lockers. Art could;n't stop worrying he would mess up the entire game could fall on him he was the only person who could end the game. if he failed the loss would be his fault and he did not want that on his contience and it was worrying him. He stood and walked over to a corner of the lockers where hushed whispers wouldn' be heard and he waited for charlie there.

Ty quickly bolted down some eggs and bacon not even pausing to notice that he was one of the very few in the great hall that early in the morning. After having a bit of pumpkin juice that he had poured himself earlier that morning he decided that he should make his way down to the locker rooms. This way he would arrive plenty early to the locker rooms and make sure that he wasn't the last one there. It would also make sure that he was ready when the match started. He walked out of the great hall and was heading for the front doors when he remembered that he had left his broom in the common room and had to double back to get it before finally making his way out onto the grounds. It was a beautiful day the leaves on the trees were changing and the sun was out, perfect conditions for Quidditch he thought to himself as he made his way towards the locker rooms with his broom swung over his shoulder.
Reaching the locker rooms he knew that he was still a bit early for the match, but having to double back to the Slytherin common room had taken him a bit more time then he had planned on so he wasn't going to be the first person to the locker room. This didn't bother him. He would rather have more people in the locker room then none at all. This way there would be more going on than just silence and worrying about the match. Walking though the doors of the locker room and after giving the three other players there a quick hello he made his way over to his locker and undid the lock. He would be playing Chaser today so he just had to put on his uniform and protective gear and he would be ready to go. He quickly threw on his Quidditch robes and then sat down on a bench to put the protective gear on.

Lauren made her way to the stands, one of the firsts there. She looked around, seeing as the game had yet to start, she only assumed that the teams were still in the locker rooms. She took the seat of her choosing, picking one that she saw had the best view in the entire stands.
"Go Slytherin!" She yelled.

Talia made her way up the stands, wondering who it was she was going to cheer for. She wasn't really there to cheer though, she was there to watch the game, maybe catch a few pointers here and there. Most players did have good game, and she wanted to see if she could spot anything that could be useful and handy next time she played. She smiled and sat down by herself, her elbows on her knees, watching the game contentedly, and wondering if she'd end up chatting with someone or not.

Charlie, still pumped and eager to do her passionate prep talk, followed Artemis with her hands rubbing eagerly. "What's up, Arty?" By the way he acted, she could tell that he was having some jitters. Completely normal, even for her. But she wanted to hear him and what was on his mind.

The nickname angered him and he let her know it. " get it right! my name is Artemis! not Arty OK ARTEMIS!" Art almost yelled in her ear. he HATED being called Arty, only his dad called him that and well... his father wasn't around. He looked up at Charlie his blue eyes and his body showing only a small fraction of what he actually felt. " maybe.. you sh-should Get another person to seek I dunno if i can do it! What if I don't see the snitch/ What If I'm not fast enough to catch it? what if..." Artemis kept muttering on until Charlie interrupted him.

"Shut it, Tayern." Charlie said briskly. "Just... shut it." Nodding at him, she decided to be a bit more sympathetic, even if she had a stiff, formal way of doing it. "Right now, you gotta simplify, alright? Know what I mean? Now, DJ and me have been training you guys to the bone for the last few weeks. I see you got something good out there. Don't think about the 'ifs', alright? Think about the snitch. Nothing else. You hear me?! Nothing else." Dodging glances to see if anyone was listening, she lowered her voice to add, "If you want, I'll train ya. But the minute you give me a toddler tantrum, it's over."

Anna walked to the Gryffindor locker room but took her time doing so. After all it was a rather nice day, but even better was that she wouldn't have to play in the rain. Upon her arrival into the locker room, she found it surprisingly...empty. Strange, she though that there would at least be a few people instead of just the captain. But, it was still a bit early so there was still time. "Hey Britt! Feeling alright?" she asked. Anna was confident that they weren't going to lose this game. She didn't want to because after last year, but this year was going to be different. Quickly changing into her Gryffindor robes, she sat down on a bench playing around with her beater's bat.

If there was one thing that Sora hated about himself, it was that he always seemed to always wake up late during an important Quidditch game. Thankfully, he managed to wake up a bit early, wanting to break the habit of sleeping in during those game days. He quickly showered and brushed his teeth, eyes still a bit dull from sleepiness. He quickly shrugged on his uniform, not caring that his shirttails were hanging out. Finishing tying his shoes, he grabbed his Nimbus 2002 broom and ran off towards the general direction of the Great Hall.
Shoveling down a piece of sausage and bits of bacon down his mouth, he grabbed a final piece of toast before heading off to the Entrance Hall, his boots echoing behind him as he quickly ran. He found himself in front of the locker rooms of the Slytherin team. Wiping bits of crumbs off his hand, he turned the doorknob and entered the door.
He looked around, finding his already dressed teammates. Without saying anything, he moved towards the boys side of the room. He dressed himself in record time, this time remembering to put his pants on.
"Did I miss anything?" He asked no one specifically, fixing his chaser gloves as his jade eyes scanned everyone around him.

"Up an' attum Garland, we gotta game to win. An' we can't do that with you on the bench." Corey claimed as he practically threw open the door. Of course, such ana ction was unintentional, as the crash it made against the wall only seemed tomake it close quicker and just miss his face as he cleared the doorjam.
First game of the new season and he wanted to win it, they HAD to win it. The Slytherin Seeker was a first year for Merlin's sake, how reliable was that? But, the problem was they still had Jones and Blake, as well as a couple of others. Veteran players only made this tougher. But as per usual the team to beat was Ravenclaw with a solid Vet roster. Yes indeed, Corey'd done his homework, well, slightly at least.
Regardless of such he wanted to win. After quickly changing into his robes he peered through the doors to the pitxch a breif moment, checking for any sign of the Slytherin team and found no sign of them. Which meant they still had time for both arrivals AND last minute pep talks. Maybe...
The sixth year exhaled as his eyes checked back to the locker room. Three. Thee out of the needed seven, though he also couldn't quite see the Gryffindor stands (as they were above him) so hehad no idea if the alternates were present or not. Merlin. Long game ahead.
