There was a long exhale and very audible exhale from Brittany as Keagan made her entrance into the locker room. She was so relieved that the girl had shown up, that some of the tension of the game seemed to lift too. Rubbing her hands together she made a motion for Mike to leave because she wanted to get around to give just a tiny pep talk. Which, of course, since he was Hufflepuff he was still considered the enemy. She hated giving the talks, cause she never knew if they sounded alright or if she was making a complete idiot of her self.
"Okay. Here is what is going to go down. Alhana, obviously, you're going to be playing beater. Since Cameron hasn't showed up, Chase, I'm going to need you to play chaser. Do you think you are up for it?" Brittany had started explaining but as she got into it, she felt that she might need to ask the girl before just throwing her in. It was only fair.

" Ok charlie, I'll catch the snitch and dodge the bludgers, just watch my back... and just say the word and' I'll be on the pitch with ya." Artemis told Charlie as he walked out of the corner and sat on the bench, his small hands fiddled with his glove and he snatched a pair of goggles to help his eyes with the wind so the didn't dry out, they were not tinted, if they were art wouldn'tve worn them becasue they would have cutdown his visiabilty.

Chase nodded eagerly at Brittany, "Of course." she didn't sign up for Quidditch to back out at the last minute. Plus, she wasn't that bad, she even thought of herself as 'good' although that was being compared to most of the other first years. She smiled and imagined herself scoring goals for the team, Chase beamed.

Pat made his way through the stands, looking out over the pitch as he went along. Pat was disappointed that Ari had bested him in the first match of the season, Hufflepuff vs, Ravenclaw, but Pat brushed it off well enough. It was only one game out of the season, and although it dampened their chances some, it by no means meant Huffle was out of the standings for the Cup. They would just need to make sure that they won their other matches. Which was half of the reason Pat was out in the stands.
Although the Gryffindor and Slytherin teams weren't considered as tough as Ravenclaw, Pat knew better than to underestimate them like that. So here he was, ready to scope out his competition. He knew that his friend Tristan was the Gryffie Seeker, but Pat had never seen him practice at Seeker. He didn't know who the Slythies had for Seeker. Last year, they had had Charlie, whom Pat had narrowly beat out, but he knew she wasn't normally Seeker. In any case, this promised to be a good game.
Pat spotted Talia, Jynx, and Matty nearby. He wove his way through the seats until he was nearer to them. "Hey guys," he greeted them, a smile on his face. He'd heard Matty's question, and supposed he should give his take. "I dunno who's gonna win, but I'm rootin' for the Gryffie team," he directed at the third year girl. "What about the rest of ya? Who're you guys cheerin' for?" The match hadn't started yet, the teams hadn't even walked onto the pitch yet, so Pat was trying to make conversation until that time came, game time.

Krissy had left the common room before Pat but instead of heading straight down the the quidditch pitch she instead had made a pitstop off at the kitchens. She didn't see why she couldn't tease the teams on the field by eating extremely good looking food while they had to play quidditch, though admittedly she would quite like to be out on the pitch once more... problem was she wasn't a Gryffindor or a Ravenclaw... only a minor detail in her mind. But either way Krissy made it up into the stands after Pat, she spotted his silver hair through the croud though and smiled. She noticed him talking to Matty and Jynx, good, more huffles to share her now very full bag of food with.
Krissy snuck up behind Pat, which wasn't that hard as she didn't need to be very quiet because of the fact that there was quite a bit of chatter around them. She got behind him just in time to hear him ask who everyone was cheering for. Krissy grinned and wrapped her arms around Pat's neck from behind, resting her chin on his shoulder. "I'm cheering for the ref" she said. "He'll wanna make sure he don't make no calls 'gainst the Slythies of they wallop him one" Krissy grinned. She had played Slytherin quite a few times before they were a pretty feroscious team.

Kyle almost ran to the top of the stand. Last time, he had to sit down there to watch the game, with a fear that he had to play. This time, he could just really watch and enjoy the whole thing. He wasn't sure if the house rivalry between Gryffindor and Slytherin was still as bad as it was before. But one way or another, this should be good.
He watched the both end of the pitch eagerly, waiting for the game to begin.

Sarsha once more had decided to come watch the Quidditch match. The only thing she had liked about the previous one was the fact that Kyle didn't end up having to play. but this was probably due to the fact that she didn't understand the game and to the best of her knowledge it was brutal. But this time she hoped to see Kyle at the game and watch it with him. Like they had planned for the first game. He seemed to think she would love it once she saw it, or perhaps, knew something about it.
But either way though she knew nothing about the game Sarsha made her way up into the stands once more. Her eyes scanned the stand's looking for her friend. She smiled a big happy smile when she spotted Kyle who looked eager to see the game start. She walked over to him. "Hello Kyle" she said to him with a smile, not yet taking a seat.

Jynx watched as Pat and then Krissy had made there way over to where they were sitting and gave then a quick hello. "I don't know who I am going to vote for. I don't really have a favorite out of the two teams," Jynx said with smile. He didn't really know that many people form either of those houses so it was true that he really didn't have a preference. He had just came down to the game for a bit of entertainment.

"If you need me I'll be taking warm-up laps!" Corey called out before disappearing out the door, Nimbus '04 in hand. Sure, out of date by most professional qudidtch standards but, it would do. In a mere moment the sixth year Keeper was on his broom and in the air doing small but quickly accelerating laps around the Gryffindor hoops. Occasionally weaving between them to get his precesion up to a par minimum before the game.
The game was a promising one, especially after he'd had that mediocre and unplanned run-in with Jones at the lake. Oh yes, that was the only problem with this game. Jones held the advantage of controling a black steel ball while he had to play the role of a sitting duck target. He needed more freedom...

"Probly the snitch, it makes things even more interesting" Matty said turning to the newcomers. As Krissy and Pat arived, she gave them a quick wave of her hand before resting her eyes on Krissy's bag of goddies. "What cha got there?" she said with a puzzed look on her favce nodinh towards the bad of snacks. Matty pulled her scaf around her neck, before looking up to the sky and looking at its blue mellowness. She then turned back around so that she was visible to see everyone.

A huge smile broke out across Brittany's face at the enthusiastic response she got from the younger girl. She didn't seem the least bit nervous which was a very good thing and quite a change from the rest of the atmosphere. With that sorted out, she straightened up and looked around to the rest of the faces in the room. She had a sudden shift of mood and actually felt like this would be a good game. Clapping her hands together, she felt like she was ready to take on whatever task came before her.
Nodding to Corey as he left the locker room, she ran a hand through her hair before speaking again. "Slytherin is, most-likely, going to be the easiest team that we face this year. Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw are both powerhouses and we are lucky we don't have to worry about them first. So let's take care of these snakes the way a lion would attack his prey but with the wit of a fox. We're going to use our strength to take them out, not just physically but mentally. There's no need for a long speech because you all know the drill. I believe that we can succeed this year, but I need your help to. So if not for me and the other future graduates then for the pride that we take in being a Gryffindor."
Coming to a close, she grabbed her broom that had been leaning against a locker. Looking back to the group in front of her, she put on a confident face and shouted, "Let's go!" With that she rounded the bench and walked towards the doors that entered on to the quidditch pitch.

Cameron walked in. She knew she was a little late. She walked over to Brittany. "I'm sorry. Won't happen again. I promise."Cameron said as she walked outside. She mounted her broom, and started to fly around the pitch. Guilt was in the bottom of her stomach, but she tried not to think about it. Right now, she had to put all her focus in the game. No more lateness, Cameron. Extremely bad habit...I'll try not to be late again. Cameron thought as she flew around the pitch for a few warm-up laps. Everything left her mind except Quidditch.

Banks gasped slightly as the stuffed lion which Leah had been holding loosely onto, almost fell to the ground. The father had just cleaned to toy after it had been soaked with milk from Leah's bottle, and honestly did not want her holding something that had made contact with the ground. Of course, in a few years she would be rolling in grass he predicted.
Heading toward the stands of the quidditch field, Banks smiled as he saw the cheers from the Gryffindor stands. Gryffindor verses Slytherin, a game which should be quite exciting. The Head of House saw it suited to come and cheer his house on. He himself was had a red scarf loosely around his neck, not neccessarily because it was cold, but because Leah often liked to finger with it. The baby was clothed in a red sweater as well. It wasn't that he was setting Leah up for being in Gryffindor, but for today she could be the mascot. He knew Tamis would do the same things when Ravenclaw played. Although, it would be a difficult discussion when it came to Gryffindor against Ravenclaw.

Talia smiled and said her hellos to Pat and Krissy. "I'll root for the better team once I see them play." Talia said, seeing as she didn't have an experience with them at all, and wanted to see how great each of the teams were. She had friends from both Gryffindor and Slytherin and wasn't sure which side she'd be cheering for, if any. She really just came to enjoy the game in general, get some tips, and continue to see people she knew in the stands, and out on the field.

Pat's smile widened when Krissy came up behind him and draped her arms around him. "Hey, Krissy," he said, looking to the side of his head to see the red-haired Huffle resting her chin on his shoulder. He would have hugged her in greeting, but that was kind of hard as she was behind him, so he settled for squeezing her arms with one of his own.
Pat listened to everyone respond to his question. It seemed as though most of them hadn't chosen sides for this match, which was understandable seeing as Huffle wasn't directly involved. Looking again over the pitch, he saw the Gryffindor team beginning to warm-up. This promised to be a good match.
Pat now noticed the bag Krissy had brought with her, and he could see it was packed with snacks. "Gonna share those?" he asked, still smiling. He'd had breakfast, but there was always room for snacks.
