It had been hard to get together with everyone as sick as they were, but Drew wanted to make sure that it was done. It had been a year since the invasion and the Deva had gotten awfully quiet... something that worried the seventh year more than anything.
The group he had gathered might not be the biggest or the strongest, they were all students after all, but they had heart and in Drew's book that counted for a heck of a whole lot more than anything else.
It was the same room they had met in previously. There was no need to change locations at this point, and the abandonded classroom worked well for their purpose. The long and lean Ravenclaw had perched himself on the teacher's desk in front and all he had to do now was wait for the others to show.

To say that Drew had left Hiro behind would be unfair since it was Hiro who left Drew. The boys had been walking most of the way together when Hiro had the insight to take a small detour to the bathroom before the meeting had gotten underway. With his business taken care of and his hands still cold from the wash he joined his ravenbrother with the conversation as if they had never left it.
"So you have a general plan or are you going to wing it tonight?" Hiro assumed that Drew was the one in the room since he was so determined to get there earlier than everyone else.

"Everything come out all right?" Drew quipped as Hiro rejoined him. Why girls did that whole going together and waiting for the other, he never understood. He had once even snuck into the girls room when he was younger, positive there was something special about the place. It had looked like a regular old bathroom to him.
"I was figuring we needed to keep our focus on dueling," Drew answered, drumming his heels on the front of the desk he was sitting on. "It's a skill we all can use and everyone can work at their own level I figured. Hey, think we can convince anyone to go two on two against us?"

Layla had scrounged up as much of her energy she had to make it to this meeting. Her case wasn't as bad as some of her fellow students, but it still presented an obstacle from just trying to get through the day. She was still fighting the urge to scratch.... everywhere. It took her everything she had and she'd even clipped her nails really short in case she slipped. At the moment she felt a bit groggy, but she had rested well and felt a bit better. She just wondered how long it would last.
She finally gave into a small coughing fit she'd been trying to hold back (because they made her head hurt), as she walked into the classroom they had assembled in the last time. "Hey guys," she greeted after the coughing had stopped, casually taking a seat on one of the desktops and crossing her legs. She hadn't really thought about these meetings since the last one. School and her duties plus the Dragon Pox. But she couldn't make them excuses, so she perked herself straight and was determined to make these meeting works to their purpose. "Are we waiting on the same crowd?" They had a pretty good turnout the last time, though she wasn't sure how many of them knew these study sessions had more that one agenda.

Ever since the last meeting, Tianne had basically been looking forward to going to this. She loved Defense Against the Dark Arts, and if they couldn't have qualified professor to teach this, well, the next best thing was Drew. She had found the last session so fun, as Tianne loved to learn, but waiting for the next meeting to come was too much for the girl. Much unlike some of her classmates, Tianne hadn't been infected with the dreaded Dragon Pox, because she had already been infected when she was younger. Looking at some of her mates sickness, it made her happy to know that she wasn't stuck with the disease, even though she had been through the same thing as all of them. She couldn't remember it, it was that long ago, and Tianne was glad about that.
Getting ready slightly early foe their meeting of the minds, Tianne made her way to the sixth floor. She was happy that she was going to get there on time, she hated being late to anything. Smiling as she wandered through the door, Tianne looked around the room. There were only the three people from her house there, Drew, Hiro and Layla. Giving the two boys a wave, Tianne walked over to Layla, and took a seat on the tables near to her. She was the other prefect, and they had met in the Madam Malkins' at Diagon Alley. "Hey." She said simply, folding her arms.

Once again, it looked like only Ravenclaws, but that didn't stop Drew from grinning. He knew that when it came down to it, these were the people he'd want fighting next to him.
"It might just be us," Drew answered Layla with a shrug. The meetings were getting smaller and smaller, but that wasn't going to stop Drew from holding them. The only thing that would do that would be the restarting of Defense class... or his graduation...
"Hiro and I were thinking we could just work on dueling," Drew told them. "But since we dont' have the little kids today, did you guys want to work on something harder?"

Tianne didn't really mind the fact that there were only Ravenclaws. As horrible as it may sound, this made Tianne feel safe, as she sure trusted her fellow BirdBrains. Even though Tianne was basically forced to live with them, she'd choose to live with them now, because they were so trustworthy. Tianne didn't care if others joined them, as it wasn't as if she didn't trust the others, she was just happy with the crowd that had shown their faces already.
Giving Drew a smile as he told them of what they had planned, Tianne shrugged. "Really, I'm happy with whatever." She said, truly meaning it. The young girl had no idea what was going to happen when Drew, Layla and Hiro left, and that sort of scared her. Would it be up to her to continue the study groups, or would they just stop. Would another student take that responiblity? Tianne didn't know, but she hoped that she could sort it out with the older students before their graduation. "What do you have in mind, other than dueling?" She said, trying to shake her mind of these thoughts.

Jason Walked in, "Dueling suits me just fine" He said with a smile, "I say we duel the entire time" he said again with a smirk.
Jason also thought about what was going to happen when Drew and the rest of the 7th years left. Picking up these "study sessions" was going to be a pretty big task, something he would be willing to help with, no questions asked. Jason thought back to the invasion a year ago. What happened to the school when the Deva took over made him sick.
"To be honest I'm with Tianne on this one" He said with a smile "I'm good with what ever we do"

Drew bit on his lip as another Ravenclaw entered the room. He felt like he really had to say something more, and if he was going to do it, he needed to do it then and there. Craning his neck to see if anyone else was in the hallway, he swept his hand at the door and closed it, really wanting to make sure what he said didn't get overheard by anyone else. If someone else from the group came, he'd repeat and continue the discussion, but if they were interupted, he would switch topics quickly.
"Hey, you guys... we need to talk seriously," he started once the door was firmly shut and while he lowered his voice, it didn't lose any of its strength. "I mean, the Deva is still out there and if we're really doing what I hope we're doing, we need to stop being wishy-washy, right? If we're going to be ready for when they show up again, we need to be strong and ready to stand up for what we know is right. I can't do this alone. Let's come up with curses we think would be good to practice, start making plans, get a plan going so this doesn't fall apart when... when half of us are gone next year." He looked at Hiro and Layla before looking at Tianne and Jason. It would be up to them to keep things going and he needed to help them do it.

Jason nodded. "your right, Drew." said sitting on a desk. "I have a feeling that the Deva are not gona just give up on Hogwarts"
Jason looked at everyone in the room then looked back over to Drew, "the school is a easy way for them to spred there ideas, that muggle borns and half bloods dont deserve the time of day, its just sicking"
The look on Jason's face grew cold, "I'm sure they have some members in this school watching every move we make" Jason said looking at everyone again. "Even more a reason to be ready"

Drew liked Jason's passion, but was a little concerned about his message.
"But they wouldn't know to watch us, right?" the Head Boy asked catiously, looking around the room at the others. They had all been sworn to secrecy about the true nature of this group and Drew trusted them with that. "As far as anyone knows we're just a study group. Nothing more. A study group." Heck, Drew had told them he didn't even want it brodcasted that they were focusing on Defense.
"But I don't know if the Deva will bust down the doors like they did last time," he continued. "In fact, I highly doubt it. Shaw's pretty stupid, but he's also pretty smart. That was an overly bold move for their first coming out party, but he's not going to do it again."
The guy had been a Ravenclaw if Drew remembered correctly...

Any sort of sick feeling Layla still felt was suddenly washed away as Drew took the opportunity to speak seriously. This was what the bulk of them had been waiting for, and the real reason they were there again today. Layla inhaled softly, feeling a small portion of anxiety that she had felt back in August when she first saw Drew and he first mentioned the Study group to him. But it had slowly faded and had been replaced with determination and confidence as she settled again back into the castle, and her life.
Drew was right. They needed a plan that extended past their influence. Once they graduated, which was sooner than she liked, the remaining students still had to be prepared. Shaking her head softly, she pondered the exchange between Jason and Drew. "Well Shaw was supposed to be a trustworthy person," she said tentatively, glancing at the door as well. She had not been here for the Deva invasion and sometimes it or Shaw was beyond her comprehension. but this was important. "Who says that a student isn't capable of leaking?" It was a terrible notion, a student turning on his or her peers. But the Deva was serious, they all knew this by now.

Layla brought up a good point, one Drew had pondered over and over again. There were a number of people, guys and girls he even called friends, that he wouldn't dare share this conversation with.
But none of those people were here in this room. He trusted Hiro and Layla with his life and felt he had talked to Jason and Tianne enough to know where they stood on things. Drew was still cautious-- he had trusted Shaw and gotten burned for it after all-- but he knew he couldn't go through life never confiding anything in anyone.
"I trust you guys," he told them confidently. He had no doubt that a student could leak, which is why he didn't go blabbing his purpose to the whole school. "Beyond the people here in this room, there aren't too many, but you guys I trust."
And if he got burned again, he'd learn from that too.

Tianne was confused. She still wasn't sure if she was expected to take the reins once the others had gone, and she sure didn't know if she actually could take on a task that big. It scared her, thinking of things that she had once said that she could not have done, that was probably on the top. This group of ravenclaws, Tianne trusted them, each person, but around others, she didn't think that she could do that easily. Tianne didn't feel comfortable in large groups, but with these people, this small group of people, she felt okay with it.
Keeping her mouth closed as Jason and Drew both made their points, Tianne didn't really know what her imput into the situation would be. The Deva could easily come back and attack, but they could just as easily target it in a different way, they were pretty smart. Tianne wasn't like some of the others, not being able to talk about the attack, well, to think about it, but she wasn't directly involved. She was there, but she didn't have anything to do with it. Talking about the Deva wasn't Tianne's favorite thing, but she knew it had to happen.
Tianne too trusted the group, she didn't think that they were capable of backstabbing. "I agree. It won't be easy to, uhh, run this study group, just us two, but I want to continue this. I don't know about you, Jason, but I think I'm gonna need some help from you guys." She smiled, taking a chance and naming her as one of the people that will continue it. She wasn't sure whether they meant her, but it was easier to involve herself than exclude.

Jason sat back on the desk. he was thinking about the the fact that when the seventh years leave, it would be Tianne and himself left. It was going to be hard, but he was sure him and Tianne would be able to keep the study groups going. Jason turned to Tianne, "Its not going to be easy, and a few short months these guys are going to leave" Jason said. he smiled "But we can do this, we will be just fine" Jason said turning back to Drew "Drew don't worry about a thing just concentrate on graduating and getting out of here, Tianne and I can handle this." He tuned back to Tianne "Right"
