Having loaded his trunk onto the luggage rack, which he found comical. He was used to packing suitcases that had wheels on them and were flexible material, not hard leather box things. All the same though he had purchased one so that he wouldn’t stick out like a sore thumb, but it had taken some getting used to. He hadn’t really known how to pack everything in it and as such had a carry on to with him. He had had to make a couple of trips onto the platform to get his things into the train, but now everything was securely store. His animals were in their cages and it looked like he was all set to go.
When the campartment down slid open he looked up, expecting Braxton, but seeing someone that he had never met before. “Sure, I don’t mind.” Ryan said with a friendly smile. He didn’t care who sat with him as long as there was room for Brax he was good. “Want some help with that?” he asked, offering to help the boy place his luggage in the luggage rack.
Once everything was store away and he had introduced himself to the other kid he looked out the window and caught sight of Braxton standing on the platform. Opening the window in one fluid moment he yelled, “Brax! I’ve already gotten use a spot.” He had forgot that Braxton would probably be with his family and had he remembered he would have waited on the platform for him so that he could say hello to Brax’s mom and dad and, of course, little Corbin.

Good thing Alexis's mother gave her and Flora something for the weather because it sure wasn't looking too friendly out there. But at least the girls were in a car just incase. "Here we are girls." Martin announced from the drivers seat. "Do you need an umbrella?" "No, that's alright. Mama gave us something for the rain. We'll be fine." Alexis told him before getting out of the car with her backpack and owl. Martin went ahead and got two trollies for the sisters. "Alright, take care girls!" he said hugging the two. "Your parents want you to be careful and Alexis, watch Flora with both eyes." "Don't worry, I think she'll behave a little better this year." Alexis smiled."
As soon as their trunks were loaded onto the trollies, Alexis and Flora made their way to the barrier between platforms nine and ten. Once through, Alexis turned toward her sister. "You can go ahead if you want. I got to stay out here for a little to help make sure things run nicely." she said reaching for her prefects badge. Hopefully, there won't be any trouble though...

Finally, the day Claire had been waiting for! Hogwarts was now only a few hours away, well based on what her brother told her it would be a few hours. "Hurry up!" she shouted to her brother while she pushed her trolly as fast as she could. "Watch it squirt! You'll slip if you don't slow up a bit!" he brother shouted but he couldn't help but laugh as he watched his little sister speed off the way she did.
But could you blame her at all? Claire was excited after all to finally be a first year. But what she really wanted was to see what house she would end up in. Especially if she had to fight some kind of troll in order to get into a house. Again, that's what she heard from her brother and a few of his other friends.

Just as his mom finished her sentence he heard his name coming from somewhere. Looking around he noticed Ryan was yelling out of the train. Beaming he said, “Okay, I’ll be right there! I just got to grab my things.”
Corbin too had noticed Ryan in the train, “Hi Ryan,” he said with a wave. He had had a blast with both Ryan and Ryan’s little brother Jordan when they had come out for the orientation thing so he was happy to wave at Ryan as well.
Watching Brax, who had ran over to his trunk and was getting ready to board, his mom just smiled down at him. She was sure going to miss her little boy. “Do you think you want us to help you with your trunk Brax?” she asked with a sweet smile.
“Honey, let him get his own trunk. After all he is old enough.” Braxton dad said putting one had on his wife’s shoulder. He knew that it was just her way of getting to spend more time with the little guy before he left, but he also knew that if it was him he wouldn’t want his mom carrying his trunk for him. “He’ll be fine.”
“Yeah I’ll be fine mom,” Braxton said with a smile as he prepared to say his goodbyes.
“Bye Brax!” Corbin said with a smile as he ran over to him and gave him a hug. He was really going to miss him, and wished that he could go.
After Corbin said bye his mom and dad both gave him a hug and said theirs as well. His mom getting a little teary eyed as she held onto him, and his dad having to pry her off so that Braxton could get onto the train. Braxton didn’t mind though, he wasn’t one to get embarrassed by that kind of stuff that easily.
Heading towards the train, dragging his trunk along, he waved by to everyone before he disappeared into it. He walked down the aisle until he found the compartment that Ryan was it. Surprisingly there was another boy with him. Entering he smiled, and with some difficulty, managed to stuff his trunk up into the luggage rack. “Hey guys,” he said his smile getting wider as he took a seat next to the window.

The car ride to Kings Cross hadn't been entirely borning, just a bit dismal because of the weather. For some reason, Flora was never a big fan of the rain. Maybe it was because she got sick if she was in it for too long. But, even the gloomy weather couldn't damp Flora's spirts over returning to Hogwarts at last.
Once Flora and her sister said good bye to Martin and Alexis told her to go onto the train, she merely nodded showing she understood. She might as well give her older sister a small break for a change. But for some reason, she hadn't been pranking Lexi for a long time now. It was begining to scare her slightly. But in the meantime, Flora boarded the train and found an empty compartment. Once all her luggage had been stored, the twelve year old reached into her bag and pulled out something to read. Hey, it might take a while before some other kids showed up in her compartment...

Shane stepped out of the cab in his already not-so-dry best clothes, which happened to consist of a brand-new camo hoddie, with the hood pulled up as far as it could go, his best pair of jeans which only had a small hole in the right knee, and a clean black t-shirt under his hoddie.
He ran to the set of carts for peoples stuff, grabbed one, and hurried back to the cab with a waiting open trunk. He quickly loaded up his three duffle bags, suitcase, and through a backpack over one shoulder before going up to the window and paying the driver.
Once that was done he bolted into the safety of the station. Now the letter had told him what to do so he was still quite skeptical on the whole thing but he went to barriers nine and ten anyway. After watching a few families casually go through the barrier he thought he had the idea. He very slowly and carefully pushed his cart through the wall, took a deep breath, and walked through himself.
In awe he walked forward into the crowd and stood there in wonderment…not quite sure what to do next. After a few minutes he looked about for somebody of authority but saw no adults other than parents.

Smiling Ryan waved at Corbin. He really liked that little guy. “Hey Corbin.” Ryan said grinning and talking to the little guy while Brax gathered his things. He had really wanted both of his parents and Jordan to come see him off, but his dad had an emergency come up at the hospital. He was still going to come and just let someone else handle it, but Ryan had said he would be fine so his dad stayed. After all it was his patient and he really should be there, but Ryan came first and if Ryan wanted him there that badly he would be there. Ryan was okay with it, however, he wasn’t even sure that they would even be able to get onto platform 9 3/4 so he just had his mom take him. He would get to see them all on the breaks and he had already made plans to visit his dad’s house in Australia over Christmas, as well as, his mom’s. He was going to split the time between them.
Ryan helped Brax jam his trunk into the rack and then sat down in the seat across from him. He was just happy to be there and he was meeting someone new, so that was a plus. He had almost forgot to take his puffskien with him, but his mom had reminded him at the last minute. Some how he got the impression that she didn’t want to have to deal with any animals while he was gone, because she seemed quite eager to remind him about it. So it was with him, sitting on top of the cats carrier. “So did you guys have a good summer?” he asked both of the boys. He pretty much knew Braxton did from the owls that they had sent back and forth but he didn’t know anything about Adrian.

As Hiro had predicted there was a flood of younger students eager and willing to get on the train. He had missed out on riding the train when he came to Hogwarts, transfered in during his second year. It was funny how excited all of them seemed to be, little did they know how much work was involved while at Hogwarts. Most of them seemed worried that they wouldn't find a spot and rushed for the train, however one curious first year had noticed him and had questions that needed answering. He stood from his improvised seat in response.
"Hiro McVeil," He said with a bow that made Flicker grab harder. "At your service. Yes I'm returning to Hogwarts, Ravenclaw Prefect, sixth year. Anything you need assistance with?" Hiro didn't point out his badge because that would be egotistical.

Hannah watched and tried not to giggle as Hiro bowed and offered her his service, her eyes watching the boy's chameleon hang on tighter to Hiro's shoulder. "It's nice to meet you, Hiro" Hannah said, giving the older boy one of her thousand watt smiles.
"Nope, I think I'm right for assistance" Hannah looked around and saw that the Platform was slowly filling up with people. "Though, do you know where I am supposed to put all my luggage?, I'm thinking that it's supposed go in the train somewhere, but not necessarily in a compartment with me" Hannah stated to Hiro, it was the one thing she was unsure about and Hannah was starting to worry about it.

"Brilliant." Adrian said, making his way into the compartment, accepting help from Ryan. He plopped himself down on the opposite seat, holding out a hand for Ryan to shake. "Adrian Lampard." He said brightly. Scrambled Eggs meowed balefully. Adrian opened the carrier and brought the jet black kitten out. Scram gave a contented chirp and settled himself in Adrian's lap.
Another boy entered the compartment. He must have known the other boy, because he greeted them both and sidled in. "Wotcher! I'm Adrian, and this is Scram." He said, gesturing to the kitten in his lap. This was going well. If nothing happened, he would have two new friends by the end of the trip. Or at least two new acquaintances. "What House do you reckon you'll be in?" He asked the two boys.

Post by Alhana Starbreeze on Mar 24, 2007 16:13:17 GMT -5
Just under fifteen minutes remained until the Hogwarts Express took off into the countryside to a castle where no mortal eye saw the true magic of the place. Parents, luggage (both chirping, meowing, hooting, as well as the inanimate) and students crowded the Platform. Mothers bustled over the youngest ones and shooed off the eldest ones.
Among the hustle and bustle, Alhana Starbreeze sat perched quite comfortably atop a wall that allowed her to watch over the entertainment. The pouring rain didn’t seem to bother her a wink as it doused everyone in sight, including herself. Glad that she had arrived early to the station and stowed away her trunks in a compartment, Alhana ran a hand through dark hair that now reached just to her chin and searched the crowd for familiar faces.
She looked more like a Muggle than a witch at the moment, clothed in a deep red tank top and blue jeans that stuck to her skin. And she certainly didn’t appear to be the normally devilish Starbreeze they were used to seeing, for no mischievous smirk cradled her face that gloomy morning. Eyes that reflected the sky in colour but not in liveliness checked the watch on her wrist. Where on Earth had Zsa-Zsa gotten off to?

Arriving out side of the station Jack opened the car door and stepped out. This would be his fifth year at Hogwarts and as such he knew the routine well. He knew how to get through the barrier and where to go, but for some reason his parents insisted on accompanying him into the station and on to the platform. It didn’t really bug him that much. They did it every year. Unloading his trunk from the back of the car he placed it and his owl on a trolley and began to make his way into the station, with his parents right next to him. They had conveniently created a parking space out of no where and he was positive that they would have had to use magic. Because when he looked no car could have ever fit into the space theirs had.
Once in side he found his way through the barrier and onto the platform. He would just hurry and stick his trunk in a compartment and then come back out onto the platform and see if he could find anyone he knew. He was looking forward to seeing Verina there and all of his other friends from school. He had met up with a lot of them over the holiday and they had planned to meet up at the station and get a cabin together. Quickly he boarded the train and found an empty compartment where he stashed his trunk and other luggage before he made his way back out of the train and over to his parents again. He would say hid goodbyes in a minute when the train was closer to leaving. It wouldn’t make real sense to do it now since he was pretty sure that they would stay to see the train off.

Great, I'm not even back at school yet and already I'm gonna get a cold... Anna thought as her taxi cab pulled up to Kings Cross station. Steadily, the rain began fall harder as the door of the taxi opened and a fifteen year old girl with a cat sitting on her shoulder stepped out. Of course since rain is often wet, Coquito jumped from Anna's shoulder and back into the cab. "Honestly Coquito, the rain isn't that bad. Now come on out and I'll put you in your cage." she said. Normally, she wouldn't like to do that but since the cab driver was giving her a dirty look, Anna thought it was best just to get away from the muggle.
Anna finally loaded her trunk and Coquito's cage onto a trolly and paid the muggle(though it took a while to actually count the money) she continued as fast as she could to the inside of the station. Only after a few minutes of standing in the rain, Anna was already soaked from her chocolate brown hair to her shoes. Not to meantion her purple shirt and black jeans. Once on the train, she was definatly going to have to try some kind of heating spell, but at least she also had a jacket in her trunk.
Passing all the oblivious muggles, Anna ran quickly through the barrier between platforms nine and ten to find the welcoming sight of the Hogwarts Express before her. Now all there was left to do was to get on the train, but since the had about fifteen minutes there really was no hurry to it all.

Tired of just stained there looking around like an idiot he ran up to the first person he saw. An older girl just as soaked as he was (Alhana) who seemed to know what she was doing since she had no baggage with her and was casually sitting on a wall. He was anxious to get his stuff put away because he was starting to notice that everybody had a trunk or 2 and he had three small/medium duffle bags and suitcase.
“Ah…excuse me. Hi. It’s my first time going to Hogwarts so uh…if you could give me a push in the right direction on where to go now, well that’d be grate!” He smiled and waited, hoping she wouldn’t be bothered by an annoying first year.
