He matched her laugh with a grin and then a delighted laugh of his own as he asked in amazement. "We don't have to cook or do our own laundry or anything like that?" He paused a moment to run a hand through his hair, something that he could be found doing often. “You’re joking, right?” Suddenly an idea caught him, “Do we have any chores or anything like that at all?”
He wasn’t quite sure what he was expecting but in none of his fantasies of his new school had involved short elves cooking and cleaning for them. Of course part of him didn’t expect the students to have to be self-dependant on whatever wilderness or land that was around the school but living almost totally off the land was such a big part of his life he was used to nothing but it. It sounded to him like this school was going to be like a semi-vacation.

He saw her. She was already there. How Finn could have missed her was beyond him, but he could definitely see her now and a broad smile erupted across his face. The Ravenclaw barely had enough time to drop his trunk before Keagan was already leaping toward him. Finn caught her easily, his arms wrapping tightly around her body and he hugged her hard, not wanting to let go. He spun around once with the Gryffindor still attached to him before he reluctantly set her down once more, but didn't let go.
"I missed you so much," Finn whispered softly into Keagan's ear, his ecstatic smile never faltering. He breathed her in deeply, her scent filling his nose. Finn's memory hadn't done it justice and the scent was sweeter than he had remembered. When he finally began to release his death grip on the poor girl, his hands immediately went up to her cheeks where they rested for him to pull Keagan close. Finn placed a soft kiss on her lips, and then finally let go completely. "You look great," he told her happily.

Keagan squealed merrily as Finn spun her around, her feet easily lifting a full foot off the ground as he did so. When he stopped and set her down, though, she felt her spirits drop a bit; the Gryffindor hadn't wanted to be let down yet. It helped that he still had her enveloped in a hug, though. The seventh year buried her face in the Ravenclaw's shoulder as he whispered in her ear and smelled her hair.
Pulling back as Finn released her from the hug, Keagan let her arms drop from his neck and simply beamed up at him. She loved the feel of his palms on her cheeks, and how his kiss lingered on her lips.
"You would say that even if I was unshowered and wearing a trash bag," Keagan replied, realizing only after she'd said it that those were really cruddy first words to use after three months time. The thought brought a brilliant blush to her cheeks, but considering the dark tan she had developed over the summer, she didn't expect it to be very visible now.

"Nem, Alhana replied, chuckling at the boy's obvious delight in the fact that he was going to have a lot less work to do now that someone was going to do it for him. "Your only chore is to do your homework and keep yer grades up," she told him.
"Just don't make a total mess of your common room or dorm unless you plan to clean it up out of common courtesy. My Nover and I have paint wars in our common room all the time, but we clean up as best we can. There's this one yellow stain on the wall that I think will be there centuries from now because the elves have used every cleansing spell and potion they know on it but not a thing works," Alhana grinned at the memory of that day, swiping water droplets off her brow,

"This is true," Finn agreed, winking at her and chuckling softly, "And, I also promised to spoil you the next time we met, so..." Finn trailed off as he turned back to his trunk and knelt down, opening it slightly so he could just reach in. As his hand came back out, it now had a small box in it. Turning to face Keagan once again, Finn held it out to her and stood up.
"Nothing too fancy, just something I thought you'd like," Finn told her, shrugging his shoulders slightly. He could feel his cheeks starting to flush already and he wasn't lucky enough to have a tan to hide it as it did for Keagan. Inside the box was a golden necklace with a gold heart dangling from it, a red stone embedded in the corner of it. Finn really hoped she'd like it because he'd spent 2 hours trying to decide if it was good enough for her. In the end he thought it would do, but now he was second-guessing. Perhaps he was only paranoid.

As the murky sky lash as far as Matty could see, her green eyes were hinted with water that jhad fallen. Stepping out from her dad's car, she hurried under one of the platforms shelters, before waiting for Cedric to join her. "Be careful Matty, and look out for yourself and Jynx." of course her father had remembered the charming boy known as Jynx Caffee, Matty's boyfriend. "I will Dad, don't worry." she said grinning and hugging her father tightly. With a kiss on her cheeks, she then grabbed Zeal's cage and put it on op of her trunk, before picking up Spunky, and briskly walking off into the rain. She was dressed in Muggle clothes of course; a black pair of skinny jeans, with a pink singlet top under a white, hooded jacket, with its hod down.
Rumbles of thunder could be heard, and the dark sky managed to make her walk faster, getting her some speed before walking through the platform 9 and 3/4. A tingle fell down her spine. Young children boarding the train for their first year, other students around her age were filing into the train as well. It was good to see droplets of water streaming down the scarlet train once more. Looking around, a grin slid onto her pale cold face. She rolled her case behind her, with Spunky in her arms, Zeal also behind her, about few meters away from Mike, before putting down her cat. "Mike!" she said, grinning and jogging over to the boy, before stopping herself in front of him and hugging the other student.
Breaking off from the boy, Matty then noticed a girl and said in a polite voice, "Hi, I'm Matty, nice to meet you." grinning all the same. At this time however, she saw Krissy and Seanna walking to the train. Matty would managed to catch up with to two soon enough, as she didn't want to walk up to someone, say hi and then leave straight away. Picking up Spunky again however, Matty stroked his party moist fur.

The train. Brandon had been dreading this moment more than anything else. The idea of being trapped on a moving vehicle with absolutely no escape and being surrounded by idiots was not exactly an idea Brandon Blaze was all to thrilled about. He'd been dropped off at the train station, but he told his parents to just leave and not see him off. He was still bitter, although "bitter" didn't really do his feelings justice. Brandon's mind immediately flicked over to his brother and where he was. Brandon was determined to find him someday when he had the chance. But for now, he was being forced into this.
Kill me now Brandon thought, the words clear in his mind as he walked the platform, boarding the train already and not bothering to stop and "make friends". In a sort of protest, Brandon was refusing to be friendly until he had to and was set on being as anti-social as he could. The train was nearly empty so he was able to find an empty compartment, claiming one near the back as his own. The new Slytherin tossed his junk into the compartment and sat down, staring blankly out the window. He watched for a few moments until he grew bored and decided to close his eyes. A little nap might do him good.

Trixi had come to London, her adopted father had had to stay at the farm and work, they had a new bull coming in today and he needed to settle it in. So her adopted mother had come along, with her big brother Brett and her little brother and sister. They were outside the barrier and running a little bit late, her little brother and sister were to blame for that. "Alright, Brett you take Trixi and the trolley" her mother said quickly, tightly gripping the hands of the two little kids "Just run straight at the barrier, it'll be fine don't worry" she said to both the kids. Brett was a muggle and Trixi had never been here so both were a little wary about running straight at a brick wall, it normally didn't turn out well.
Trixi grabed Brett's hand n the two of them run at the barier. It was amazing what awaited them on the other side. Trixi's eyes widened at the site of the scarlet train. "Wow" she said as her and Brett walked forewards. She didn't have much chance to say much else becuse her mother and other siblings came through the barrier seconds later. "Come along don't stand here you'll be run into" Trixi's mother said. She herself had attended Hogwarts once upon a time. "Trixi, go put your trunk onto the train okay sweetie?" she said to her daughter.
"Okay" Trixi said taking the trolley from Brett. Stacked on top of the trunk was a small cage, inside it was a raggedy little kitten. It looked like it would have been the runt of the litter. Trixi had chosen it herself and nothing her family could say would change her mind about it. It was a persian blue but you wouldn't guess it from looking at it. They had gotten it from a magical animal rescue centre. It had been abandoned and was the nly one from its litter to have survived. Trixi liked it. There was also a cage with an overly large owl inside it, it had large talons and its beak looked sharp. Her family hadn't liked the look of it either, but Trixi had insisted, they didn't think her owl should look so dangerous.
Trixi pushed the trolley to the train, it was here she encounted a problem. How was she goinng to get the trolley onto the train, her trunk was heavy and she couldn't lift it on her own, espescially with a basket for her cat and a bird cage too. Trixi staired at the train, wondering if she should call Brett for assistance.

The Lioness' eyes grew wide with glee and anticipation as Finn knelt down to retrieve something from his trunk. She had to admit, though, that the sight of the small box was a bit unnerving. Shy fingers reached out to tentatively accept the gift being offered her.
"I'm sure I'll like it," Keagan said, looking up and smiling at the Ravenclaw before watching as her nimble fingers took the top off the box to reveal the heart-shaped pendant. A soft gasp escaped her lips. Tracing a finger gently along the outside of the heart and over the gem, Keagan slipped the base of the box into the top half so she could hold it in one hand easily. Only then did she look up into Finn's eyes and beam at him.
"It's perfect!" she murmured as she reached her free hand up behind the boy's neck and pulled him toward her for a real kiss.

"Felicity," she replied to the other girl. "It's nice to meet you too." The hurrying of the girls made it clear enough to her there was a bit of tension between Michael and Seanna. Ah well, it didn't concern her, not yet anyway. Whatever the riff was, Krissy seemed to be willing to keep a bit of peace between the two. "I hope we do see each other again soon," she called after the red-head with a slight smile.
Turning to Michael, she smiled. "How'd your summer go?" she inquired. The quidditch shoppe meeting occurred close to the middle of the summer, much could've happened between their last meeting and the station. But, as soon as the words were out of her mouth, another girl appeared greeting him, and Felicity as well, with another cat not far behind her. "Felicity," she replied with another smile. "And it's nice to meet you too Matty."

Finn rocked back and forth slightly as he waited for her to open it and see her reaction. His hands had found their way into his pockets again and he made himself look away for the moment when she actually opened the box. He looked back quickly when he saw her looking up at him and he beamed as she did. His eyes lit up and it felt like a weight being lifted off him as he saw that she liked it.
The Ravenclaw grinned as Keagan's hand came up and pulled him in for another kiss. Finn's hand slowly ventured out of it's hiding place and landed once again on her soft cheek and his thumb stroked it lightly. He kissed her deeply for a few moments before pulling back again and letting his eyes find hers. "Do you really like it, or are you just saying that so you don't crush me?" Finn asked her, knowing full well he was just being a smart-alec now and was probably going to get in trouble for it. He laughed softly to show he was kidding before talking more seriously. "If anything's wrong with it, I can get it exchanged if you want," he informed her. Finn leaned down and kissed her again softly, but it was unfortunate that this was the moment in which his father decided to appear on the platform.
"Crap," Finn muttered as he watched the man hurry toward him. This is just great, the seventh year thought bitterly when he felt the sharp smack of his dad's hand on his shoulder. "Yeah, Dad, Keagan. Keagan, Dad," came the grumble out of Finn's mouth as he stared down at the ground.

Now, normally, Elizabeth wouldn't be caught dead reading anything. This sometimes led to people thinking that she couldn't tell a 'b' from an 'e.' Fact of the matter was, she could. Elizabeth just didn't like doing it much. When she had seen the article in the paper, though, the girl couldn't resist 'borrowing' it from the old man before heading into the barrier. Her parents probably would have scolded her for doing such a thing, but they hadn't seen it happen; being too afraid of the magic side of things, the two of them had left as soon as they had made sure Elizabeth knew how to get onto the train. Of course, she hadn't known until she had watched a few people disappear into a wall and was smart enough to realize that was how one got to the Express. Anyway, back to the present...
Elizabeth now sat upon her trunk, browsing through the newspaper. Most of it was dull, of course, but one had caught her eye. There seemed to be someone of importance whose daughter had gone missing only two weeks before. Elizabeth hadn't found it too exciting before, but now that she was reading about it in a Wizarding newspaper, the girl found much more interesting. Especially since it was noted the girl would be going to Hogwarts....

The Gryffindor's hand stroked the hair at the back of Finn's neck as the pair proceeded to kiss, and after Finn had pulled back, Keagan let her hand drift forward toward the front of his face and pushed the Ravenclaw's hair back away from his eyes and his face. She grinned up at him and shook her head at his question.
"I don't just throw around words like "perfect," you know," she answered simply, rolling her eyes at him. "And I say it's perfect just the way it is." She was just about to ask him to help her put the necklace on when a man began to approach them across the platform.
She smiled at Mr. Kendrick as Finn gave his lousy introduction, even as she gently elbowed the boy in the side; it may be his own father, but that didn't maen he couldn't be a bit brighter arbout it all.
"Hello, Mr. Kendrick," Keagan stated with a grin, extending her hand to shake his. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

In an extremely childish way, Finn messed up his hair again after Keagan pushed it out of the way in protest. Just because he was his dad, it didn't mean he had to be happy the man was here. Finn scowled slightly at his father, but he was ignored as he watched his dad take Keagan's hand and shake it. Finn then watched in horror as his father even bent down and kissed her hand lightly before speaking. "It's a pleasure to meet you too, Miss Keagan," his father replied with a smile, "I assume it's been you that Finnegan has been feverishly writing letters to." Finn went rigid when his dad said his full name and he knew the old man was doing it out of spite.
"OK, great, we all know each other now so you, out," Finn said to his father, glaring at him in a way that his father knew Finn wanted to hurt him. His dad had to be the most embarrassing man on the face of the planet and now he'd met, and probably freaked out, Keagan. Turning to his dad, Finn hissed at him. "Right now, in this moment, I hate you," Finn told him, a look of desperation of his face. His father simply chuckled and nudged him slightly in the shoulder. "I'll leave you two at it, then," he replied with a wink and a tip of his hat he insisted on wearing. Finn's dad turned to Keagan once again and with a nod, turned on his heel and walked off down the platform. Finn turned back to Keagan, his face now flushed completely and he grumbled to himself.
"I'm sorry he's creepy," Finn apologized to the Gryffindor, "He does that to Deryn too. It's weird."

"I should hope so," Keagan replied, smiling at Mr. Kendrick and winking at Finn. "It certainly wouldn't do if I wasn't the only one." Hearing Finn's full name didn't phase Keagan whatsoever, but it seemed that the Ravenclaw himself was incredibly adverse to it.
Keag elbowed Finn again as he rushed his father away; contrary to what the boy seemed to think, the Gryffindor had actually taken a liking to the eccentric, teasing man. As Mr. Kendrick retreated, Keagan nodded back to him, and then turned to Finn with a bit of an annoyed look in her eyes. It softened a bit at noticing Finn's blush, but enough of it still remained to be noticed.
"I didn't mind at all; it amused me, actually," Keagan replied to Finn's apology. "I wouldn't have pegged you for being capable of rude behavior, though."
