Drew grinned and complied, even though he already knew the password... unless they had changed it in the last few days. The first song that came to mind, actually the one song that seemed to keep running through his mind was Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl", redone most recently by Everclear.
"Do you remember when we used to sing... Sha la la la la la la la la la la te da."

Smiling, she watched the portrait swing wide open at her one little word before turning back to the Ravenclaw. She could hear the protests of the Fat Lady, but she wouldn't clambour out of the frame unless there was an emergency, and there wasn't.
Turning back to Drew, she found a little bit of her reserved energy and placed her arms around him while wiggling a little to the song he chose. It was a good song after all.

"Brown eyed girl... you my brown eyed girl..." he finished the verse, smiling at her swaying and joining in, always up for a slow dance, especially with her. He didn't bother singing the next verse, deciding that it was much more important to kiss her instead. What the Fat Lady didn't know wouldn't hurt her, right?

Eagerly meeting him, she couldn't help but once again think about how nice it was to be able to do that. And although she liked hearing him sing the song, especially since it was a good one, she didn't mind why he'd stopped. Perhaps the Fat Lady wouldn't know, but it was unlikely that she didn't.
Smiling, she pulled back from him, figuring it was the end of the night. She really was tired, and he had to be so much more than she, after all, he had carried her up a numerous amount of stairs. And while she knew it was the end, she wasn't really sure what to say. Goodnight just didn't cut it.

She broke the kiss and he knew he had to let her go inside, the knowledge of which being punctuated by the insistent harumphing of the portrait. He didn't want to leave. He didn't want to go back to his own dorm. He wanted to stay with her, but he knew that if he stepped one foot through the doorway, the Fat Lady would be in Raynor's room, waking the deputy up faster than he could say "detention".
"I'll see you tomorrow?" he asked hopefully, knowing he could easily catch up with her in the dining hall if no where else.

"Promise?" she asked, hoping he really did mean it. It was possible that this had all been some cruel joke, but she didn't think so, and didn't want to think that way either. Rather, she hoped it meant it all, the entire night, from the moment she ran into him at the dance right on through.
The Fat Lady was indeed becoming quite impatient, her place of guard wide open, exposing its insides to the outside world, not something she was pleased about. And Felicity wasn't sure how much longer she'd stay open without closing and then not letting her back in because she was too upset.

"Of course," he answered, cupping her face with his hand and pulling her close for another kiss. The Fat Lady stepped up her fussing and Drew reluctantly pulled back, knowing it was well past the time he should be in his own common room.
"I really had a good time tonight," he told Felicity, smiling down with a crooked grin. "So far, my favorite Halloween of all time."

"Even the part where I spilled food all over you?" she teased. She didn't think that had to have been too good. Really, she had expected him to yell at her about it, after all, she did ruin his costume for the night.
"I had a really good time, too," she smiled, biting her lip. "And as much as I wish it wasn't over, I think I should probably get going," before I decide not to go at all she finished her thoughts. "So, I guess, good night."

Drew smiled and did a bit of his happy dance. "That was when things started to get good," he told her. If she hadn't bumped into him like that, he might never have found her.
"Gnight," he echoed, leaning in for one more kiss, trying to make it last but finally stepping back so she could go inside. He'd wait for the portrait to close behind her and listen to the scolding he was bound to get from the Fat lady before heading to his own room.

Accepting the kiss, she smiled a little. While she really didn't want to leave him, she was more than sure she'd see him the next day, after all he did promise.
"Good night," she told him again, wishing it wasn't the end. But, she stepped back and turned toward the portrait opening, time to go to bed. In a way she was grateful because she really was tired, but in a way she was sad because she didn't want to go just yet.
Listening to the portrait close, she heard a few of the choice words the Fat Lady had to say before giggling and running up to her dormitory.
