When Matty had entered this relationship with Em, she never thought that they would be reaching this kind of thing... so smoothly. Sure, the girl had accepted just how much she was falling for him over their hours spent together, but before he had brought it up, the girl hadn't exactly thought about if she loved him or not. Love; such a strong, definite word that could be thrown around so easily. Matty assumed that she hadn't thought of it until now, for she didn't know if Emeric had felt it before now. Though, because it had bubbled to the surface of their relationship, it was as clear as water. She could defiantly recognize the feelings of love when she looked at Em. The smile on his face, the look in his eyes. It all added up to just how strongly she felt about him.
And once the words had left her mouth, Matty was glad she had said them. She wanted the boy to know that she was serious about him, and well, everything. Regardless of what others knew about their relationship with one another. It didn't matter, as long as they both knew how they felt about each other. She felt rather numb for the moment that was holding them, until Em put his head on her shoulder. In turn, she let the side of her head gently rest her head against his. "Really?" Though it was mumbled, the girl recognized his word. "Yeah... I really think I do." Matty said in reply. Only a few seconds passed, before the girl added something else.
"You're amazing, Em."

Em's eyes drifted shut slightly after a few seconds. He wasn't about to fall asleep on the Hufflepuff girl, he just needed that closeness for a second to breathe her in. Their age came to mind as he opened his eyes but didn't move. They were young, and maybe they didn't really know what they were doing, but it seemed right to Em. What they had felt genuine, even if he wasn't positive about all the small little details. It all seemed to fall somewhat into place.
His heart swelled slightly, he decided that he really could have sat like this for hours, just close to Matty, sharing the ocassional kiss with one another. And maybe they had been there for hours, he lost track of time after asking her a while back. It felt like an eternity ago to Em when really it couldn't have been that much longer. He listened to what she said, nodding his head somewhat as best as he could. She really thought she loved him... He didn't think she knew how much those words meant to him. He didn't mind that both of them were using the word ' think ' as in ' somewhat unsure. ' He was still kind of confused on the definition of love alone, and it meant too much. He didn't want to let her down.
A small smile tugged at the boy's features as he heard what she said next. " And you're beautiful on the inside and out. " Matty had a soul that could really be seen through her eyes, giving her a look of vulnerability to Em when he thought about how easily someone could take that away.

As her thoughts continued to run wildly through the youth's mind, many new realizations clicked inside. The first of many was somewhat guilty, that being that she had never told any of her past boyfriends that she had loved, or thought she loved them, and meant it with her whole heart. Another that shortly followed was the fact that this relationships wasn't just some... fling, in either of their eyes. Love was somewhat of a comitment, a loyalty, and the product of everything a relationship had in it. Matty knew that even if she couldn't say 'I love you' straight to Em, the boy would know that deep down she did feel it. As he did when it came to her.
The teenager wasn't concerned about their age, nor their situation. In Matty's eyes, no one could put an age restriction on love, for it came in all different sizes and types. She felt love for her family, a bond that could never be broken. She felt love for Tianne, as a best friend, of course, that she could confide and trust in. And she felt a love for Emeric, for as a whole, as she had just said, he was amazing to her. The boy's words made Matty blush slightly, another new thing that the Slytherin brought upon her. Matty let her free hand slide down to where Em's hand on her leg was, her hand, giving it a small squeeze. There was nothing that had to be said, for enough was said for both to know that this was right.
