He was a little surprised by all of the extra moving she was doing, but then he figured it out and watched he little girl climb up the ladder and then kiss his piece on the way down. Yeah, it was pretty cute. Good thing it was just the two of them in the room. Anyone else would have probably complained about being too cute.
"That was pretty special," he agreed as he took up the die again. "He's going to expect her to do that from now on, you know." And of course, Drew's little guy would have to reciprocate.
The die landed on a five, one of the numbers he was hoping to avoid. His piece moved to 49 and slid down to 11. Now Felicity was the one poised for the victory kiss.

"If she did it every turn though, it wouldn't be special anymore," Felicity answered. Besides, that was an awful lot of work and probably wouldn't be so easy from then on, but she had to give a glowing smile when his piece kissed hers back on the way down the magical number eleven.
Rolling the die, she gained a six and moved her red head up to space thirty-five, which still had nothing too spectacular about it. However, she still had the chance to roll a one and get the mini-ladder which would be good, if she got a one.
"Maybe she'll be nice and surprise him another time, but neither she nor I are promising anything." With that, she gently poked Drew in the side, and flashed him another smile.

"Well, it's special if you only get it when you land on top of a ladder," Drew answered as he took up the die again and rolled a three, a toss that landed him at the top of yet another ladder. Perhaps the die was loaded. He seemed to be throwing an awful lot of twos and threes this game.
As his little boy stopped on the 14th square, Drew looked at her and raised an eyebrow, wondering if she was going to play along with this new rule he had made up. Of course, this one might be a tricky one to get to.

Raising an eyebrow at the boy, she eyes him carefully, trying to decide if his rule was plausible or not. It really was, and she didn't see why she shouldn't play by his rules if he was playing the game by hers. So, taking her pawn, she moved the girl down the chute on her space to space twenty-four, hopped over to twenty-three and jumped on that chute landing on nineteen, and skidded down to fourteen, pausing momentarily to lay one on the other pawn, ran down to twelve, climbed to thirty-one and jumped the rest of the way to thirty-five.
It was her turn to roll. Taking the die, she dropped it from her hand and watched with amazement as it landed on one, where she wanted to be at.
Giving as loud of a whooping noise as she thought she could without getting in trouble, she danced a little jig and went up the ladder from thirty-six to forty-four. "I'm ahead again."

Drew did another happy dance, pleased that she was playing along with his addition to the game. Of course this would only be a rule played with Felicity. He wasn't usually a huge Chutes and Ladders player, but he didn't think he'd insist on the kissing rule with anyone else.
His happy dance was short lived as she got to do one of her own. "You've been ahead for the last couple of turns, babe," he told her with a smirk, thinking she was awfully cute when she did her little jig. The good thing about his recent slide was that he had another chance at square 28, just one row above him. He rolled his turn and got a four, landing him on 18. From here, he wouldn't turn down a three as his next roll either.

"True, but now I'm a good ways ahead," was her answer as she watched the cardboard boy move along the path. Taking up the die, she shook it a bit before letting fall from her grasp and watched as it landed and rolled to a four. She really needed to stop gloating as that put her on spot forty-eight which of course would be one with a chute.
Sighing a bit dejectedly, though it was one in fun and exaggeration, she slid the girl down to twenty-six and shrugged at Drew. "Well, she's still ahead."
That was the main goal at this moment, to stay ahead of Drew. Of course, she also saw that he could easily reach square forty-two with the right roll.

{heh... I'm using an older board and the chute is on 47 They must have moved it because of the ladder. Bummer having two chutes in a row though } Drew did another little happy dance in response to her slide back down. It was a decent sized setback for her, but yes, she was still ahead. Fortunately, not by much, and he could easily overtake her with a few good rolls. He tossed a six, which wasn't the three he had been hoping for, but got him only two behind Felicity's piece. And he was still in good position for square 28.

Sticking her tongue out at Drew for his dance at her set-back, Felicity crossed her arms with a bit of a huff, but a smile plastered all the same. Luck seemed to slightly be in her favour as Drew hadn't caught completely up nor had he passed her, so she was feeling a bit favourable.
Rolling again, she received a five which took her to square thirty-one. Of course, there wasn't anything majorly special about the square, other than she was at the top of a ladder, but he hadn't applied his rule to her when she was at the top on forty-four so doubted it applied to her now.

He hadn't applied his rule when she was on fourty-four because she had climbed there, not landed there by a roll. The rule applied to her now though, and he made his little guy chase after her, give her a quick kiss and return back to square 24 via the large chute that passed through 35.
That bit of business done, he gave her a wide grin and took the die up. He did a little groove in his seat, urging the toss to land on the number he needed the most.
"WOO HOO!" Drew cheered a little more loudly than he probably should have as four black dots stood on the upturned face. Before moving his piece he did a victory dance complete with the Sprinkler and a few rounds of the Cabbage Patch.
"Now who's ahead?" he asked, making a face at her as he climbed up to 84. All he needed to do now was get past 87 and he'd be fine.

Felicity's jaw dropped as she watched Drew's figure run up the ladder. That really was unfair, there was something wrong with the internet die, she was certain of it. However, she kept her complaints to herself and instead decided she'd focus on what numbers she wanted, as though they'd magically appear when she rolled.
"The little boy," she answered, teasingly. The blonde was unwilling to admit he was ahead of her in the game, but perhaps he had more luck than she did.
Taking the die, she rolled and got a two and landed on square thirty-three. "But I don't think it will last long," she told him, hoping it really wouldn't. "Because I don't know if my girl will be a sore loser of not."
Of course, Felicity wouldn't be, but that didn't mean the red head wouldn't be as well.

This of course, was why Drew played with the number generator die... so when he kicked butt in the game, it would be fairly. ;D
"Aw... maybe she wants me to let her win?" Drew asked raising an eyebrow in jest. Of course, if he was going to let her win, there wasn't much he could do other than miscount a few moves. It was really all determined by the throw of the die.
He made his next throw, wincing as he hoped it wouldn't land on a three. It stopped at two and Drwe let out a relieved sigh as him made his move. He would have prefered a four to get past that big slide, but still it was good.

And of course, Felicity was also using the die, but it didn't seem to be doing her any good. However, it was a fair way to play, though it was a little suspicious to the blonde that he was doing so well, then again, there was always the chance of a set-back.
Making a disgusted face, Felicity looked at Drew as though he'd just said one of the most horrible things ever. Let her win? Felicity, nor her pawn would ever want someone to let them win, it was neither fair nor right.
"No, no one wants to win like that," she told him outright, keeping her eyes on the board and stiffening her back a bit. Letting another win just wasn't fun, and while she knew he was only joking, she didn't like him even thinking the idea again.
Taking the die, she rolled a six and moved the cardboard figure to its spot without another word.

Just mentioning it seemed to upset her and Drew was sorry he had ever brought it up. "I'm just joking, you know that, right?" he asked, trying to catch her eye. He had promised not to do try and lose on purpose again and had realized that it was just as wrong as cheating to win. And while he had originally thought it was a way to be nice to the girl, he knew now that it really wasn't very respectful. Why it had taken him 17 years to figure out girls didn't like it, he wasn't sure.

Of course she knew he was, but that didn't mean she had to like it. In fact, since they'd discussed the situation before, she wasn't really sure why he'd say it anyway. To her, letting her win constituted the other person didn't believe she had the ability to win, but she knew it was just a way to try to be nice to another person. However, she understood the concept of the game and it was a simple one to understand, so she didn't like that he'd said it. And while it hadn't been about her, she was sure the red head cutout wouldn't like anyone to let her win either.
Nodding stiffly, she didn't look at him, mainly because she knew if she looked at his eyes, she'd feel ridiculous for acting the way she did. And really, she wanted to get her point across, yet again, that she didn't need him to let her win something.

She didn't answer him and that just made him worried. Maybe she didn't know he was joking. The only reason he had even mentioned it in the first place was because he thought it was clear he wasn't going to try something stupid like that again.
"You know I'd be an idiot for seriously thinking of it, right?" he asked, just wishing she'd look at him. "You can beat the pants off of me just fine without any help. That pool game was enough to convince me, you know that." She had to know that.
