“That’s cool…Mine has been really dull. Can’t wait for school to start again, you know?” This was the first time for the entire break she had done something fun. The most exciting thing so far was going on their annual Christmas hiking trip up to the lake with everybody. Though they had forgotten to check the weather report and about half-way there they had been caught in a snowstorm. Everybody else had been disappointed and annoyed with having to walk the ten miles back in the snow but Snake had found the entire experience very fun.
So, you here by yourself?
“Yeah, my parents are muggles so they didn’t come.” Her mother had wanted to but she had told her that they wouldn’t let her anywhere near where she was going because she was a muggle because she didn’t want to be stuck spending the entire time explaining magic to her and Hills wouldn’t have been caught dead here. “What about you?”
Almost as an after-thought she added, “By the way I love your coat.”

"Eh, my dad is around her somewhere." Jax giggled not really knowing where he could be or what he could be checking out. "It all facinates him, ya know? Since my mom never told him anything about this place..." Jax smiled but cut her statement short a bit. Why talk about things like that on such a glorious occasion. "Though it is really spectacular here, so I know how he's feeling for sure."
As Snake complimented Jax on her coat, she looked down. "Eh, it's nothing compared to your belly button ring. That's way awesome!" Jax exclaimed her blue eyes lighting up and a smile a bit to wide appearing. At the notice of how enthusiastic she sounded, she coughed a bit to clear her throat and try to get back the cool she thought she lost. "I mean, I just noticed it and all." Lame save... she thought to herself, glad that her cheeks were already pink from the cold. If anything a blush would warm them up, but her smile never faded.
"So, see anything cool yet? Anything happening?" Jax asked Snake wanting to go somewhere and do something. She had gone there for some entertainment....so where was the most entertaining event? She wanted to know.

Snake smiled and twisted the belly-button ring in between her finger and thumb for a moment. “Thanks! I just bought a few days ago.” She couldn’t help but let a small friendly giggle slip past her lips at what she had said after the complement. Still smiling she answered Jax’s next question. “Not really. But I think there is going to be live music a little later.” She shrugged, she couldn’t wait until the band took up the stage a little further down the alley.
She glanced around the alley, so transformed from it’s normal state and then looked back at Jax and grinned. “But there is lots of vendors and stuff. Uh…” Why did it suddenly become so hard to speak? “Do…do you wanna walk around a bit? You know look at what everybody’s selling and stuff.” Wow, ‘and stuff’, that was lame.

"Yea!" Jax responded probably a bit more excited then it should have been. "Er....I mean, sure." Jax tried to recover and sound as if it really didn't matter what they did, and really it didn't. Jax was just happy to be hanging out with Snake again. "Let's go this way and work our way around the alley?" Jax suggested and started to walk hoping that Snake would think that it also was a good idea.
The first booth walked up to was a jewelry booth. Jax wasn't much into jewelry, and as she thought about it she didn't even think she owned any. It sparkled on the table though, and Jax's attention was brought to a rabbit. It sparkled with blue and clear crystal gems (or what were fake crystal). It was attached to a black ribbon that she could hear the vendor explaining was tied around one's neck.
"Like a choker?" Jax asked still looking at the pendant.

Snake smiled and followed her down the alley. When they paused at the booth her eyes immediately scanned it for belly-button rings but she saw none, this was not that big of a surprise seeing as she did not know very many wizards who had there belly-button pierced. Looking at the jewelry she became very aware of money in her pocket, she was a very impulsive spender. She was looking over the items when she noticed Jax looking at a pretty choker. When the vendor went on to trying to sell other objects at the booth Snake picked it up and examined it. “You like it?” She asked, turning to grin at the younger girl.

Angel had been walking along hearing snatches of conversations drift out into the air amongst the other students walking around. It seemed like everyone had a friend that they were hanging with except her. So far she hadn't noticed anyone from her own house, well it wasn't like she knew them that well anyway so if there were she probably wouldn't even know, since she did tend to keep to herself. Part of her had started to think that maybe she should have just stayed back at the school perhaps she would have had more fun going to the library and studying.
Sighing she looked down at the ground, watching her feet wobble a little every time she stepped in her high heeled shoes. It seemed impractical to wear them tonight but she had admired them from the moment she saw them and could think of no better occasion to show them off. Thinking that even though they hurt and pinched they looked amazing on. Giggling but not too loudly she looked up once more to see that she was now walking behind two girls. She knew they went to school with her, and one of them looked like they might even be in her house but Angel didn't call out to them or anything, as a matter of fact she lingered back not wanting to impede on their happy conversation.

The vendor nodded at Jax's question and smiled. She could tell that Jax was thinking of buying it and then told her the price of it would be two galleons Jax's face crossed with a bit of disappointment. "Yea, it's really pretty. I like rabbits." Jax smiled at Snake and shrugged. "But I only have so much...and there's so many other vendors. We can always come back." Jax nodded to herself as a reassuring that they could come back. Jax just secretly hoped that it'd be there when she returned.

Diagon Alley. A bit a ways from York, but Alexander couldn't help to please his mother by attending the festival with her. She was always so into going to the wizarding events in Great Britain. "You think we're in time for any good music?" she asked her son as they walked side by side.
Patricia Cronon was a very strong looking woman. Long blond hair fell to the middle of her back, and a muscular build that was hidden by the gorgeous fushia robes that she wore. She was very young looking and her pale blue eyes were gentle and inviting. It was no wonder to Alexander why his father had fallen for her. Even as a son, Alexander had learned to appreciate her beauty. Of course, being reminded of it everyday by the compliments his father gave, or the many looks she received during the day, one learned they had to. Many time, they had been asked whether or not they were siblings, rather than mother and son.
"I'm not sure what we're in time for." Alexander wasn't short, nor was he thinking of much. His thoughts lingered elsewhere as he viewed the sights he was used to, but all the same bored with. His mother had made sure to teach him of his backgrounds, but he felt as if he had no use for them. Maybe something later would change his mind, but for the moment...he was content just being a normal human being.

“Yeah, we could come back...” Snake nodded noticing how Jax’s face fell in disappointment when she found out the price. She said and reached into her pocket and drew out a dark blue money bag that wasn’t that big but had an amazing amount of space inside for such a small bag and fished out two galleons and handed them over to the vendor. Her family was rather well off and so two galleons were not that painful to part with for her. She handed the chocker to Jax and smiled, “A Christmas present.”

Jax's eyes lit up, as she couldn't believe what Snake was saying. "Really?" her voice in awe almost as she gently took the choker from the older girl's hands. Looking at the rabbit pendent and smiling widely, she instantly and without warning hugged Snake, squeezing tightly. "Oh! Thanks!" After about a moment, the realization of what she was doing kicked in, and she backed of a bit, and threw her hands behind her back, blushing profoundly. "Oops....I mean, thanks." Jax now though started thinking about a present for Snake. Sure, it wasn't as if this meant she had to get one for her, but the younger girl felt as if she needed to show Snake how much she too, appreciated their friendship. She'd find something, she was sure. But until she did, Jax could just stand in place and just smile at the Gryffindor.
Five gallons jingled in Jax's pocket, and though it wasn't alot that her father had given her, she now had a plan for it. She didn't care if she spent it all, as long as she could find the perfect present for Snake, she totally would buy it. "So, there's more booths over there," Jax pointed behind them as Jax found herself turning around. A girl stood behind them, someone Jax may have caught a glimpse of, but didn't recognize by face. She smiled at the girl, but then turned back to Snake and realilzed that she had not yet put the choker on. "Could you help me with this?" she walked up a bit closer to Snake, handing her back the choker. "I'm not sure if I can get it myself," she stated, turning around so that her back faced her friend.

Snake was caught off guard by the hug for a moment then laughed and hugged the girl back, though not as tightly as she was being hug. She let go when Jax did but couldn’t help feeling that she wanted the hug to linger for just a little while longer. Beaming she said, “You’re welcome. It’s no big deal, really.”
When the Ravenclaw asked Snake to help her put it on she eagerly took it and carefully placed it around her neck and tied it. Her fingers lingering for just a moment on her neck before she drew away. “I’m glad you like it.” She said and when she had turned back around so that they were facing each other she looked at her with an apprising eye for a moment then said, “Looks fabulous on you. Come on.” She continued on down the alley pausing at each booth to look at what the vendors were selling.
“I really do hope they have live music,” She commented looking around for signs of people dancing or a band. She loved live music and already the idea of making Jax dance a song with her was starting to form in the back of her mind.

As they stood facing each other, Jax could already feel her face turn a bit pink even before Snake said anything. When she did, however, a flutter of butterflies in her stomach occured and she looked away a bit as her face became more red. From underneath her coat, she began to feel a bit warm so she unzipped her coat half way. "Thank you, I really like it." Jax walked next to Snake as they walked down the street to look at the other vendors. Seeing nothing yet to purchase for her friend, she kept an eye out. It had to be perfect.
I really do hope they have live music.
"Me too!" Jax entusiastically exclaimed. Jax found herself liking dancing. It was something more she could do with her body. Move, jump, swing, and just move again until one was to tired to even stand. The last time she had a chance to dance....
Jax was reminded of the Halloween Dance and all the skeletons that were revealed to her that night. The realization that she really wasn't like the other girls....the conversations even after that about how to change.....even the conversation with Professor Hectis. She frowned a bit, and tried to distract herself with a near by vendor. Her expression and body language, however, changed right along with her mood.

Snake grinned when she said that she liked to dance as well. When she glanced over at her younger companion she noticed that suddenly she seemed to be in not the best mood. A little worried that she had said or done something wrong. Quickly she cast around for something to get the conversation moving again but saw nothing. She was still trying to figure out what was making her frown when they reached the next booth but did not want to ask.
But as they started to move to the next booth her ears picked up music over the crowd. She stood on tip-toes and looked around, sure enough she could see a band set up on a stage not to far away. She grinned and grabbed Jax’s hands, “Come on!” She said, not sure if she had heard the music or not. And began to lead her through the crowd until they reached the stage. The crowd had cleared around the stage and there were a few people dancing.
She turned to face her, “Dance with me?” she asked offering her hand in a little extravagant fashion.

Before Jax knew what was happening, her arm was being pulled one way and her thoughts that had kept her so far down were now lost again. She started to giggle, finally hearing the music that was playing and that they were running towarts. Snake's request to dance only slightly impaired Jax for a bit before she just smiled, and nodded her head.
Starting to dance, she felt the music flood throughout her body. Jax twisted her hips, and flaired her arms. The crowd around the two of them seemed to watch their magnificence and the little stage lights, and the lights from the fairies in the trees not only glistened off of Jax's new rabbit pendant, but also the blue color of her eyes. Grabbing Snake by the hand, she tried to twirl her, giggling the entire time.

Grinning broadly and giggling as well she started to dance with her. She let herself be twirled but she would rather be the one who was spinning the other instead of the one who was twirling herself. She wouldn’t have been able to stop smiling if she wanted to as she took a moment to notice how amazing she looked in the light as they danced. As soon as she realized she was thinking this she blushed.
She laughed and grabbed Jax and dipped her, pausing for a second at the lowest part of the dip before brining her back up. Trying to ignore the butterflies increasing in her stomach. “You’re a great dancer.” She told her as she pulled her up from the dip, using the loud music as an excuse to be close to her for a few seconds longer before pulling away.
