Dancing was fun. Being in Snake's arms and being dipped was even more fun. A strange tingling came over the young girl's body as Jax couldn't help but giggle and hold on tightly to her friend's arms. Jax wasn't afraid that Snake would drop her, on the contrary, she just didn't want to let go.
As Snake brought her back up from the dip, a flash of movie images popped into Jax's head. She wasn't much for chick flicks, but she had seen some in her young age and in Jax's mind, wasn't this the part where the dancers kissed? She giggled again at her imagination and blushed profoundly at the older girl's next compliment. "You're not so bad yourself," Jax said, trying to play off cool.
Jax put out her hand, a bit more shyly than usual, "Another dance?" she asked. She didn't want the night to end or anything and she definitely didn't want the dancing to end so soon either. Jax actually felt relaxed. And she told herself that school was hundreds of miles away...and not a soul in the world would ruin this moment for her. Not again.

The festival of the Yule. The Yule wasn't something she was planning on going to. Truth was, Seanna had been planning on staying at Hogwarts and looking after the Huffle students that had been left behind, but she had decided that it had been overdue since she had some fun and an pamphlet advertising the Yule had come her way advertising everything it had to offer.
So here she was. Wandering the streets of diagon, licking a lollipop, checking out the various stores and stalls that were set up along the cobbled stone path. Blond hair still in place, Seanna still unable to find some sort of spell or potion to change it back, detesting the blond hair with a passion, but it had actually came in handy-- she could tell her parents she couldn't come home due to the fact because she was a prefect and she had to stay at school to look after the one's that were going to stay at the school. Seanna couldn't really go home to her parents with blond hair... they would kill her.
It wasn't really a lie... she just had omitted the part where she had gained blond hair instead of the brown. Still... she was unsure of what she was going to do here at the Yule. Seanna had checked out most of the stalls, nearly ran into Mike, Leto, Matty and Maddy, but had managed to avoid them, saw some other Ravenclaw girls she vaguely had seen around the castle. The only really other person there was Alexander, and he was with what looked like his mother, or maybe it was his sister? They didn't exactly look alike and Seanna didn't want to intrude any.
Sitting down on one of the street benches scattered throughout Diagon Alley, Seanna crossed her legs and continued to lick her red lollipop, letting the scene unfold before her. Sometimes people watching was more fun than actually talking to people.

Patricia turned toward her son and smiled. Alexander just shrugged. "I'm not sure, mum. I didn't read up on the festival or anything. That was totally your job." Patricia just shook her head and laughed. She knew what her job was and what it wasn't. It was silly for Alexander to think or tell her otherwise. "That's why my dear I have this." Taking out her wand and waving it gracefully, a rolled up piece of parchment came out of the air with what looked like all the events that were taking place. Oh, joy... Alexander thought to himself as he turned in where he stood looking for anyone he knew to get him away from his mother. He loved her to death, but sometimes, it was just to much.
Patricia gave another little giggle. "See, I have everything all worked out. Though, we'll miss the first even if we don't back track a bit. We've gone to far." So, backtracked the did. Alexander followed his mother, walking tall like he actually had something worth walking tall about. And looking around at the many booths and vendors they passed. As they reached the first event, a band was getting themselves ready to play. His mother in her fushia robes was already starting to dance to the tuning beats of the instruments, and when they had actually got going she was dancing all around to them. Alexander's face turned about as red as his mother's robes, especially when she called out to him. "ALEX! Come dance with me!!" She lauged and spun as her son quietly made his way backwards. Finding a bench to sit on he buried his face in his hands, unaware of the blond haired huffle sitting right behind him.

Angel had seen a girl sitting on a bench not too far from her and she was alone as well. She did go to Hogwarts Angel was sure of it but she wasn't sure what house she was in. Figuring that now would be as good a time as any she decided to suck it up and make her way toward the girl. Once she reached the bench she sat down on the other side. Turning her head she looked at the pretty blonde and nodded not saying anything at first. Small talk was always so hard for her it pained her to be the girl that said something silly like 'how's school going? or nice weather we're having.'
Thinking of what to say seemed to be harder than saying it, why was she like this sometime she just got so weird when it came to dealing with and meeting new people. She figured that she better say something soon though less the girl think she was some raving lunatic. 'Having fun yet?. Well of course she would ask such a corny question that's what she had been afraid of doing wasn't it.

“Thanks,” She laughed and spun extravagantly around. Still laughing she took Jax’s hand and twirled her away, catching her as she came back she said, “Always.” She grinned and looked towards the stage as the band paused for a moment and then stuck up another song. This one was slower than the last, much slower. Would she still want to slow dance since it was a slow song? Trying to think of anything other than the reason the butterlies in her stomach had suddenly increased to quaffle sized.
“Um….” Snake said nervously a blush creeping up her cheeks. Normally she would have just put her arms around the other girl and danced but something was different now, perhaps it was the feeling in her stomach like she had missed a step going down the stairs that was holding her back. “G-this is a good song…” She stuttered a blush creeping into her face.
(bleh, I’m rather brain dead at the moment…)

Jax also liked the song that had come on. Though she hadn't expected that a band would play a slow song at the festival. Her surprise was shown through her bright blue eyes as the widened and as hard as Jax tried she couldn't help but think about the first night that Snake and her had met. Snakes arms had been around her, very tightly, hanging on to her as they both rode on 'Old Trustee' to watch the sunset. Jax remembered all the feelings of comfort that night and understanding that had been granted to her. She thought of words that were said to her by so many about her prediciment and now she could feel her heart flutter, and her stomach do a flip. Jax smikred shoved her hands in her pocket.
Act cool....don't lose it.... Jax thought to herself as she opened her mouth to speak lightly to the girl. She glanced between the ground and Snake as she commented, "Well...I mean....that is if you wouldn't mind your arms around me again, I mean...." she gigled and grinned brightly. Jax's eyes swam in excitment.

“If…uhm…if you don’t mind.” Snake chuckled nervously as well and took a step closer to Jax and hesitated. This wasn’t like riding on the broom, she had known where to put her arms then it had not been so…public. Her face growing more and more red she stepped even closer and wrapped her arms hesitantly around the other girl’s middle, her hands on her lower back. Though she had to admit it did have a nice feel to it.
She was watching Jax until she realized that it could easily have been considered she was staring at her. She looked away at the other couples dancing, at the crowds, at anything but her eyes kept being drawn back to the younger girls eyes. “You’ve got, r-really pretty eyes, you know?” She was pretty sure she had told her before but even if she had already told her at some time before it was still true. She couldn’t help but grinning.

Jax half way couldn't believe what was happening. People all around, Jax tried to push all of her anxieties away. She couldn't see anyone around that she knew, and they were just friends....right? And Jax was sure that friends danced all the time. There was no problems with this situation, and nothing to be worried about. Right? Jax felt as Snake found their way around her and her midsection resting them on her lower back. Jax let her hands travel hesitantly up the girl's arms to find their own way onto her shoulders, eventually resting behind her neck, clasped together.
Jax's face turned scarlet as the girl's eyes seemed to be locked onto hers. She turned away a bit, about the same time as Snake turned her own. In her ear, Jax heard Snake speak yet again about her eyes. She had mentioned it. Many actually had. It was the most expression filled asset the young girl seemed to have. "Thank you..." Jax said sheepishly, as she moved in a bit closer as she was losing her grip around the girl's neck. She searched for something to say about Snake, but everything about the older girl was appeasing to her, so complimenting she found was rather difficult. So, instead, a question was all of Jax could think to say...."Still cold?" she asked Snake.

“Yeah, a bit,” She replied and used it as an excuse to move a little closer. “But I’m starting to get warmer.” They were only a few inches apart now and she was finding it more difficult to breath normally. She was silent for a few moments just enjoying the dance, readjusting her grip a few times and again and subtle moving closer.
“I’m having a really good time so far,” She said, she didn’t need to speak loudly because somehow they had become very close and this was doing nothing helpfully to the feeling in her stomach. The song was coming to an end but she barely realized it, nor did she realize how close she was to Jax. She started to lean closer, her heart pounding in her throat as she realized what she was about to do. Well she didn’t actually realize what she was doing until she had already doing it.
One moment she was dancing and the next she had her lips lightly pressed against Jax’s. And then she realized what she was doing and pulled back with a jerk. Her face was a shade of the most brilliant red. “I…I,” Horrified she stuttered as she backed up. “Sorry. I’m sorry. I-” She turned around and pushed her way blindly through the crowd, her insides burning with embarrassment. She couldn’t believe she had done that, Jax would probably never even want to talk to her again. Her humiliation was mixed with confusion, she had dated girls before but she had never even thought about the Ravenclaw in that way; she had just got caught up in the moment.

As Snake pulled away, it was as if the world had stopped for a moment...either that or had gone by so fast that left Jax having to rewind everything that had just happened just so that she could replay it out in her mind slower.
The two of them were dancing to a slow song neither one of them had inticipated. After Jax had asked Snake if she was cold, she responded with 'Yeah, a bit. But I'm starting to get warmer.' Jax understood that part of the last five minutes of her life. Enjoyed that part, as did she when Snake said how much of a good time she was having. The young raven had nodded in agreement but the next part of the memory not only took Jax for a whirl but probably all of the staring couples as well.
As Jax looked around, she blushed a bit and tried yet again to control herself enough to return to what had just happened. After Jax had nodded, she rememberedd looking up into Snake's eyes and smiling a bit, hoping that her face and it's blush had died down. Snake then had started to lean closwer and all Jax could wonder was what actually was about to take place. Slower Jax replayed the memory.
Jax and Snake dancing, them talking, Snake leaning in, Jax's lips....were placed against Snake's. Or rather, Snake had placed her lips against Jax's. Their conversation of kisses and first kisses and practicing with friends came into her mind, but at the same time Jax didn't feel like this was practice, nor did she quite understand all that was happening herself. As the kiss had progressed for the few seconds that it had, Jax never shut her eyes, to surprised with what was happening. She wasn't upset nor was she at all offended with what happened. Just very very surprised. The kiss was nothing like Krissy's, it wasn't forced nor did it hurt. It was a gentle peck of sorts on the younger girl's lips. As Snake pulled away, Jax must have looked horrified, but she was just incredibly shocked. "...Snake?..." Jax questioned a bit as her friend was apologizing and turned to get away from her.
Had she been that bad of a kisser? Jax hoped that wasn't the case, but at the same time with now all those who were staring her own inhibitions kicked in and she ended up running to. They all saw me....what if they tell....what if any of them were from school? Jax's questions were in the hundreds and after all of the first questions the last one she found herself asking was...is Snake like me?
Turning to look where she had gone, she found that she had accidentally followed the path her Gryffindor friend had taken. Should she call out to her friend? On the first night Snake and Jax had spent together, Jax had wished on a shooting star for someone who could understand her. As Jax walked around searching for any sign for her friend, she played with the pendant on her neck and found herself thinking, Maybe Snake was who she had wished for.

Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Snake raged in her mind as she ran blindly onward, bumping into people and even knocking one down but she barely realized that. She had just most likely destroyed the friendship between one of her few real friends at Hogwarts. She wished she had her broom so she could just get on it and fly far away from here. She wanted to be alone and think things over, wanted time to think of a believable excuse why she had kissed the ravenclaw anything other than, ‘well, apparently I fancy you.’ That would surly end the friendship or at the very least make things extremely awkward between them.
She paused and looked around, there was a gap between most of the building but most of those were blocked by vendors and she certainly couldn’t go into a shop, she looked around desperately for a place she could be alone. And then she saw it. A little alley that looked to be only about three feet wide but the entrance was open between to vendors.
She ran towards it and darted down it and only stopped when she reached the wall at the end of the dead end alley. She slid down the wall and put he head in her hands. Stupid! Stupid! How could she face Jax again. Did she even want to talk to Jax again?
Snake was not ashamed to admit that she fancied both genders if somebody asked her about it but she would never bring the subject up herself. But there was a much more pressing matter than Jax, and everybody else who might have been watching, knowing it was the question of if she liked her or if it had just been an impulsive kiss with no real feeling behind it. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

Alfonz wasn't to much into festivals of any sort. They plugged up the streets with bright eyed and useless people. As he pushed out of they way by a running girl, he scoffed and growled a bit, not saying anything. Stupid children he thought to himself just trying to make his way to the bank. He only hoped it was open during the festival and at the hour it was at. He couldn't believe that he had been so foolish as not to buy any groceries to restock the pantry. If it wasn't for Celina and Emerald, he wouldn't be having this problem. However, he was, and that was just the way it was going to be. He sighed heavily making his way to the bank.
Closed. That figured. The doors were locked, and lights out. As Alfonz stood infront of the bank doors just looking at them he almost wondered about how much Celina and Emerald really needed to eat that night. He was sure he could scrounge something out from the cupboards, and going to any of his neighbors was out of the question. A brother who couldn't feed his sister? That was proposterous. Turning around, he decided there was nothing left to do but to make his way back through the festival to get back home to Wendelring. He just hoped no one would stop him along the way.
