Charon's voice brought her back to reality, and drew her out of her thoughts. She smiled at what he said to her. "Haven't you yet realized that's how things work? A girl only needs to use her female magic to reel a guy in, then when she pulls the last few strings, everything goes her way." Her amused eyes were all that showed of her joke. "However, I don't think you'll have to declare yourself today, I still have a few tricks up my sleeve. And besides, the best way to get a fish is to reel and release over and over."
She watched his face and again couldn't help but be satisfied with the way things had happened that day.

"So are you trying for a fish or a lapdog now? Cuz I can be either one, but both at once seems like a very odd breed," Charon joked.
"And as much as I enjoy kissing you, my stomach is starting to protest the lack of food. So unless you'll let me start munching on your fingers, I really think we ought to move this to the great hall," he added.

She smiled at his joke, but fully agreed with what he said next. "Let's be on our way then, shall we?" she asked. She pulled away from his arms and began walking towards the Great Hall's doors.
"And no, you may never munch on my fingers, dog's have sharp teeth, and fish don't munch."

Charon caught up to her quickly and said, "Ah, but that's not entirely true. Pirhanas and sharks are both types of fish, and they munch." He looked thoughtful for a second then said, "Ok, so they don't munch so much as rip, tear, and swallow, but that's beside the point. And I doubt you would want a fish of that type anyways, since their teeth are sharper than a dog's."
He smiled at her and slipped his hand into hers, a position that was starting to feel extremely natural.

A light laughter escaped her again at what he said. "I do believe those types of fish do everything but munch," she smiled at him. "And your quite right, I'd rather not have a fish of that sort." Her smile widened when she felt his hand slide into hers, she really did like having him as close as he was at the moment. Even though it had only been a few hours they'd spent together, it felt more like years to her.

Charon wondered what would happen when they got to the great hall. Would they sit together or sit apart? If they sat together, would Rael prefer to sit with her friends or to join him at the Ravenclaw table, or would they find an empty, secluded table to sit at?
At the thought of friends, his mind kicked into overdrive. Although he doubted whether she would care what her friends thought of him, he still wondered how they would view him. Plagued with many insignificant insecurities, he walked with Rael towards the great hall.
