Giggling, she knew her dad did tolerate Drew, not well, but he did. Felicity was pretty sure her mum had something to do with that. After all, she was the one to ensure that Felicity could go out to Diagon with two different boys, and her dad hadn't given Drew too hard of a time from what Felicity noticed. "Freddy seems more worried about protecting everyone else from the giant," she told him. That was Freddy's concern, Drew was going to either consume or step on his aunt. "And you should've seen dad when he first met Harold. He didn't like him at all, but they're good friends now, it just took a lot of time and patience on Harold's part, and dad took his time with it."
It was true, he liked Drew a great deal more than he had Harold when the situation had been the same. Ib Hjort hadn't even liked Harold until Raquel had been married to the man.
A nervous giggle escaped when Drew kissed her hand lightly. She liked when he did little stuff like that, made her feel extremely special.
"Really?" she asked excitedly. The blonde had wanted to meet his parents for a while, would there really be that short of amount of time before she could finally meet the two of them? Felicity hardly knew very much about them, but she was interested in getting to know them, if Drew would let her.

"If you want to," Drew answered, his smile showing how pleased he was with the idea. At the same time, it raised a bit of a concern. Mrs. Thornton wasn't too thrilled about the idea of her son dating so seriously, and while Drew didn't think his mother would be rude to Felicity, he didn't foresee a whole lot of warmth to the meeting. His dad would probably be okay, and Drew figured he could recruit Allegra to run interference if need be, but Dolores Thornton was convinced that every girl that Drew was remotely interested in was a gold-digger out to trap her son.
Drew had always thought sticking his mom in the same room with Felicity's dad would be one interesting scene.
"I'll write them and see when they're coming," Drew continued excitedly, thinking that having his mom and dad get to know Felicity now was way better than waiting until later. His mom would have to see that Felicity was a nice girl and not one of those piranha-types.

"I do!" she shouted excitedly, gaining a few exasperated looks from those not far away. Rolling her eyes at them in return, though it was the library and she was supposed to be quiet and conscientious of those in the area, she didn't really care. It wasn't as though she was being excessively loud, nor were she and Drew in the back stacks of the library where she'd learned not long ago to stay away from for fear of running into a number of different sights. Not anything she really wanted to see, nor care to knew that people used the areas for kissing on one another.
Turning herself in the chair so her legs were hanging down over one arm, and she could wrap her arms around Drew's neck, she scooted around so she wouldn't be choking him in her grip. Felicity liked meeting people's families, she found it fun. Getting to know others people were in close proximity to, those who raised her friends, and what made it more fun in prospects was that it was Drew's family and he didn't seem to mind her wanting to meet them.
"You don't think they'd mind meeting me though, will they?" Felicity asked. Even if he wanted them to meet her, and she wanted to meet them, it didn't mean they'd want to meet her. In fact, Felicity hardly even knew Allegra.

"Shhh..." he hushed her, snickering at her outburst and not being very quiet about it himself. If he had had a better angle, he would have kissed her quiet, she was so cute getting excited like that. When the group shot dirty looks in his and Felicity's direction, Drew just grinned back at them.
"You know my parents will probably be staying with my aunt, right?" Drew warned her, though he doubted that would make any difference. He had met a parade of Hjorts when he had been introduced to her parents. "And if Aunt Abigail is there, Jeremy's folks will want to be there too."

It made sense, that they'd be staying with his family while visiting the area, it would be easier on everyone rather than renting a room for the amount of time they chose to stay. And it didn't matter to her where they were staying as long as Drew was all right with her meeting them and he didn't think they'd mind meeting her. But when he tacked on another part of his family, she grew a little more nervous, but even more excited.
"More family?" she grinned in response, briefly squeezing him tighter. Angling herself so she could bury her nose into his soft skin, she inhaled deeply, enjoying his scent immensely. "You wouldn't mind me meeting more than just your parents?"
True, he'd met more than just her parents, it was hard not to meet more, but was he really willing to let her meet more? Even though she wasn't really a great witch and his family was all pureblooded? Celina wasn't very steady on Felicity meeting her family, though by now she'd finally met her best friend's mum and brother. She was glad though, that she really didn't think he'd be embarrassed with her. No, she wasn't good at magic, and sometimes she wasn't all that wonderful with meeting people, but was he really willing to let her?
"And you know I don't think Jeremy likes me very much."

He gave a small giggle when she got so excited about meeting his family and those crazy butterflies started loop-the-looping when her warm breath hit his neck. It didn't take away the nervousness over having her meet his family though. He knew there was nothing they could find fault with, but he had a feeling his mom just might start making up things.
"Jeremy?" Drew asked, looking at her sideways, but not moving so much that she'd stop nuzzling him. "Jeremy doesn't like anyone. The little girl he has a crush on... doesn't like her even." It was true. All he ever did was complain about Hannah. It was how Drew knew the kid liked her.

For a while Felicity had been hoping she'd get to meet Drew's parents, but to be allowed to meet more family? It was almost like a dream come true, and the fact he seemed all right with her meeting them was even better. Being extremely family-oriented, she wanted to know the entire Thornton family, and whoever else was involved in his life. The blonde hardly knew his sister, and she thought to remedy that some time. He'd often talked like Allegra knew him best, so perhaps she should get to know the sister of her boyfriend? And his Grandmum. Felicity still had a letter that she kept in her trunk that was to the woman, though she very highly doubted she'd ever actually let the woman's eyes lay on the parchment.
Humming in response, Felicity didn't move from her spot on Drew. Jeremy just didn't seem to like her very much, or she didn't think he did. After all, he once threatened to sic Drew on her, though she didn't think that would've gone over very well in the way Jeremy probably would've wanted it to. And while he didn't seem to like her, Felicity rather liked him. He reminded her of Freddy a little bit, but only a little.
"He has a crush?" Felicity asked, amused by the idea. The boy didn't seem like the one to have a crush, just because he seemed so...angst-stricken. And immediately Felicity began wondering who it could be, though she would never ask. A first year? An older student?

"A girl in his class," Drew answered with a small smile. He wasn't sure if he should divulge all of the details, considering Jeremy was still in major denial over it, but it was kind of funny.
While Felicity pondered over Jeremy's love life, Drew was trying to figure out exactly how much of his family would end up at Aunt Abigail's house. Mom, Dad, and Allegra for sure. Aunt Abigail obviously. Most likely Jeremy and his folks, including Sarah. Would Aunt Abigail convince her sister, Drew's grandmother to come over? Merlin, Drew hoped not. That just seemed like a bit much, considering such a big fuss had never been made over any of Allegra's boyfriends.

A first year! Who did she know in the first year? That adorable Trixi, and Hannah. She knew two, but that didn't mean there wasn't another girl he could've had a crush on. There were so many first years running around, she couldn't barely keep track of which ones were Gryffindors and almost accidentally let a Hufflepuff into the Gryffindor towers one time he week before. She hadn't recognized the boy, but he said he needed to get in there, she figured to use the loo, but she was informed by the Fat Lady he wasn't to be let in.
Shifting slightly, Felicity curled up a bit to rest her chin on Drew's shoulder. It wasn't much of a scene to look at beyond him, it was just a few groups of students in a flurry to get studying done. Some she knew, other she didn't. It was kind of funny, they all seemed to be worrying about tests, and while Felicity figured she should be too, she was too excited to get the year over with, despite how many things she'd be saying goodbye to.
"So, are you staying the whole summer here?" the blonde asked quietly in Drew's ear.

"Uh huh..." Drew answered, that dopey grin of his crossing his face. With her warm breath in his ear, he'd agree to just about anything and it took him a moment to realize exactly what she had asked. "I mean... I'm going home for that last week, but the rest of it, I'm staying here." He knew he had told her this a number of times, but he thought it was kind of cute how she kept verifying the information. As if he'd change his mind...
"You aren't going anywhere, right?" he asked, realizing he had never really asked her, but just assumed it considering she lived in London.

While she had asked quite a few times, she wanted to make sure his plans weren't changing. No, whatever he did wasn't technically her business, nor could she help him make a decision on what to do during break, but she did want to make sure she knew where he'd be. There were a lot of things planned this summer, or in the midst of being planned for the blonde, and she wanted to be sure she could spend time with him. He was her boyfriend, and while her dad could restrict her from leaving the house with him, she knew her mum would make sure they got some amount of time alone just to spend it with each other. At least, if he was willing to set foot in her house again.
And it'd just be one week without him, only one. That wasn't so bad, though she wished it didn't have to be. Even if she wouldn't be spending every minute with him during the summer, she liked him being close by.
"I don't think so, no," Felicity answered, barely moving her head to shake it. "We're going camping you and us I mean, and then we might go camping again with the Cronon's later in the summer, and I'll probably be visiting Meredith a bit. She's my sister that doesn't live in London." The only of her siblings that didn't live right near her home in London. "And dad got me a job for the summer so I can help pay for my supplies in the next term, so I don't think we'll really be going anywhere. At least not something that'll be longer than a weekend trip at most."

"Okay..." Drew answered, and while it may have sounded like he was giving some sort of permission, he was actually filing the information in his memory, figuring he could work his own schedule around hers. His job entailed a lot of nights and weekends, but overall, he thought that might be better. Mr. Hjort didn't seem too keen on letting his little girl out after dark.
"So you got a lot of stuff planned too," he said, looking up at her. He figured the hardest part would be when she went camping with the Cronons, especially if it didn't coinside with his trip back home. That would be two weeks without seeing her.

"Not really," Felicity answered, shaking her head carefully. "Just working mornings and early afternoons since dad wouldn't have it any other way, and camping really. I mean, I might spend one or two weekends with Meredith since she lives in Manchester, but it's not a whole lot planned." They weren't going on some far away trip, nothing was really planned other than their usual camping, and she'd probably spend a couple of nights with friends since Drew was working later shifts.
Of course, with her dad setting up her hours for early days, and Drew was working later nights, it made things harder to coincide with each other, but she did have Sundays and Thursdays off according to her dad, so maybe that could work with those days. Felicity wasn't sure if Drew had certain days off though.

Mornings, Drew would probably be sleeping, catching up on the sleep he had missed from working late nights. He knew the place was open during the day, but mostly his hours would be evenings until the wee hours of the morning. The good news was he'd have Sundays off every week. People tended to do their repenting on that day and business was slow. The other days, he was usually working, needing to take the extra hours to get a week off for the camping trip.
"So maybe we can have a few early dinners or something?" he suggested, wondering if this had been his mother's plan all along: let him stay in London, make him think he had won the deal, but make sure he had a job and wouldn't have any time to spend with his girlfriend.

"I'd like that," Felicity answered with a small smile and gentle kiss on the spot on his neck she'd found and hadn't left. "I don't think dad can argue too much. After all, I'm working earlier shifts and you're working later ones, so we couldn't be out all day long and most definitely not out at night since that's when you're working." And because her dad would never allow it.
And if they managed to get the same day off during their holiday, maybe they could spend the whole day together, since she doubted they'd be doing it often. And her dad couldn't rightly argue with it since it wouldn't be often.
"And we're still going camping, so hopefully we'll get to spend time together then."
