Felicity knew what he meant, but she was trying to maintain she wouldn't like it at all if things were easier. True, she didn't have an easy life, but she did like the one she had. It was fun. Besides, what if life was easy and she'd been allowed to attend Hogwarts from year one up? Would she and Drew ever have met? She didn't know and she was more than sure she wouldn't have seen his silky boxers being if life was easier his shorts wouldn't have ripped on him. And she wouldn't have gotten stuck in the tree that one day.
As long as he didn't think it would be better, she could deal with that.
"I don't think you can," Felicity admitted, but she'd been wrong before. Turning and placing a small kiss on his cheek, the fifth year turned herself around to lay in the position across him and the chair she'd taken before when they were discussing matters. He was in her seat now and therefore was a part of it for the time being.
Head resting against one arm of the chair, knees bent and feet tucked in at the other arm, Felicity looked up at him, smiling. She liked his teasing, and the fact she was sure a lot of the time they thought along the same lines, even if they didn't always get along and fought a bit. "So research?"
Was that what he could see her doing? She liked the idea of it, but she didn't mind Dragon Feeding either, especially since she was sure she could secure a job in London.

Drew gave a small smile at the kiss, always feeling a bit giddy and nervous when she did that. The small kisses were different than the more passionate ones and he wasn't sure why it was the smaller ones that still made his face flush.
She wiggled around and changed her seating position so that she was not so much sitting on him, but laying across him. "Comfortable?" he asked, raising an eyebrow and smiling crookedly at her. He didn't mind in the least.
"Research..." he started, not exactly sure what she meant. They were in the library so perhaps she wanted to study? But then he remembered why she had been in the library to begin with. "Yeah... I think that would be kind of cool."

"Sure am," she smiled up at him. After all, her second favourite seat was Drew's lap, sitting or sprawled. Actually, she enjoyed being that close to him, it was nice. There's was just a good feeling she got about being so close to him, either when he was holding her or just being so close, it was an amazing feeling.
"I'll look more into it," she agreed with a small smile. "I like the sound of it, I just don't like the idea of being so far away. I mean, yes, there probably are some around the area, but I like the idea of bigger creatures. Puffskeins are adorable, but not was neat as Erumpents."
Snuggling down into the chair and Drew, Felicity reached down and pulled the book she'd been reading up and opened it before giving a playful glance up to Drew as though she hadn't thought of it before. "You're not planning on going anywhere soon, are you?"

Drew wasn't all that keen on having her so far away either, but he figured that wherever she ended up, they could figure out something to make things work out. She was probably right. Puffskeins weren't all that interesting.
"Me? I'm stuck on this rock for at least another four years," he joked, wrapping his arms around her and enjoying the nearness of her. "I mean, that's assuming I get accepted into the academy..." He was pretty sure he would, but there was always that chance that he wouldn't.

Scoffing that he'd referred to it as a rock, Felicity tapped him with her book. It could have looked like she was about to haul off and smack him upside the head with it, but that wasn't her plan. Just a tap on shoulder. All she needed now was a detention for library book abuse on top of everything else she'd all ready gotten in trouble for. Library book abuse would just top everything off.
"I think you will be," she told him seriously. He'd wanted it for a long time, he was technically somewhat training for it by working at things that he would need to be able to do, and she had confidence in him. "What about after training?"
It was something they'd kind of spoken about before, whether he'd be sticking around the U.K. or going back to America, but it was long before they were dating when they'd really done it. "Did you plan on returning home?"

Drew flinched, but grinned as she swiped her book at him. He actually didn't mind that much being stuck in Great Britian anymore. A lot had changed since his first year when he had contemplated acting squib just to get sent back home.
He smiled and felt his face flush when she expressed her confidence in him. Yes, he was pretty sure, but it felt a million times more certain when she said it.
"I... I didn't plan on it..." he answered, feeling a little pleased that she was concerned about how long he'd be on this side of the Atlantic. Of course, they had just discussed the option of her going to America, but he thought they both knew her best oportunites would be on this side of the pond.
"I mean... My mom's not going to be to thrilled, but... but I can do more good over here, you know?" he asked, lowering his voice just a little. Of course, in the end, it wasn't really up to him. He'd have to go wherever he got a position. He just hoped they'd need him most in London.

Of course he didn't plan on it. How could he plan on something when he didn't know for sure where he'd end up, just that he would likely have a job. Felicity had no idea where she was going to end up, first she needed a plan, like Drew had. At the moment she only had an idea. An idea that needed work, needed to be discussed with Davenport and her parents. The blonde was going to have to do substantial amount of work in order to show her idea to her parents, and would even need to show the available options for research of the adorable fluffy creatures. Otherwise she wouldn't be allowed to look into Erumpents or dragons or anything of that sort. Drew had one up on her, he had a plan that got him at least a little bit further.
And she wasn't sure whether his mum would or wouldn't be thrilled, she didn't know the woman, and couldn't agree or disagree on that art honestly. Though, Felicity wasn't sure why he thought he could do more here. According to many things she'd read as of late it seemed there was a wizarding world wide spread of bad news and disaster. Different groups, or possibly the same they had right there in the U.K. were sprouting everywhere it seemed. Not to mention, he'd do good wherever he went.
"I don't know about that," the brown-eyed girl answered him, looking up to his eyes. "I mean, you could do a lot of good here, but you'd do good wherever you went, wouldn't you?" What if she did go somewhere else, would he maintain he could do more good in the U.K. still?

"Probably," Drew answered with a small shrug and a crooked smile. At least, he hoped he would. It would be a bummer to think about going somewhere and not doing any good at all.
"I mean, I could probably get a decent job anywhere, but it just feels like here is where the center of everything is for me," he added, drawing a finger down her arm as he spoke. He had family, Felicity, and the best Auror training program in the world. He really couldn't ask for much more. Except for maybe a good surfing day, but he'd already come to the conclusion that he was going to have to make his vacations really count.

When he said where he was felt like the center of everything, she couldn't help but blush slightly. No, she doubted he meant her, but she liked the sound of it. She could tell he loved home, but that he wanted to stay there was something all the more. And when he dragged his finger down her arm, she couldn't help but smile and lightly bite her bottom lip. That made her feel special, yet again.
"But it might not in the future," she reminded him quietly. While it felt right at that moment, it didn't mean it would later. And what if she didn't get a job there and they stayed together? She'd heard many times that long-distance relationships didn't go over well by most standards.

He liked watching her cheeks pink up and while he wasn't sure what had caused her to react like that, he had a feeling it was something he had done. He'd have to figure out what it was and do it more often.
"So we figure it out then," he answered, knowing there was still a lot of time before they had to worry about it. She had to finish school and he had to go through training. She was right. Maybe Britian wouldn't always be his center, so when that happened, he would shift to where center was. Heck, he might even end up having two centers.

Nodding, she agreed. They would figure it out when it came time to make a decision of the sort. And she really did hope it was they and we then as it was now. No, she still didn't expect things to last forever with him, how many first really did last in statistics? Not that many, but Felicity liked the sound of it. She enjoyed thinking that they would last that long together. Who didn't like thinking like that?
"We figure it out then," she repeated in confirmation. We. The sound of that word when referencing herself with the older Ravenclaw was right, she liked how it was said, how it sounded, how it was to anticipate just forming that word. Smiling shyly, she opened her book up and took anothe quick glance at him. They would figure it out when it was time to, and not a moment sooner.
