Though the little bit of sleep she had gotten that morning had helped her feel a bit better, Arianna still felt caught up in the odd mood she had felt sice Drew had finally confided in her what had been bothering him. Neither wanted to trek their way to the Great Hall and risk being bothered with questions about their reddened eyes or silent demeanor. Those thoughts had been unvoiced, but both had voted on eating in the Room of Requirements instead.
Impatiently pacing the hall outside the room, Arianna urged the room to give them what they needed: comfort food and a place to mope if either felt the need.

Drew slunk into the room after Ari. He wasn't in much mood for anything, but figured he needed to eat something. Ignoring the kitchen that had been set up to the back of the room, he found a comfy looking couch to the side of the room and settled there.

Though she would have liked to have some help on any other day, Arianna didn't expect nor mind not receiving it today. She knew full well what it was like to have no desire to do anything but lay in bed and sleep. So she let the boy be, but checked on him every few minutes as she gathered everything for their breakfast; bringing him some juice and milk even though she didn't think he would touch them.

Drew gave a deep sigh as he curled up on the sofa. He had woken up from a decent sized nap just minutes ago BUt that didn't mean he wasn't ready for another one.
He definitely wasn't hungry at the moment.

Finally getting their breakfast made, Arianna set two plates on the coffee table and sat down next to Drew, automatically reaching out to pat his back. She had remembered how he'd made his crepes that day they'd mixed up their own at the Thorntons and had fixed up a batch just like them.
"Eat?" she asked. It really hadn't been what she wanted to say, but nothing else wanted to come out and telling him everything would be okay felt like a hopeless prayer now.

"Yeah..." Drew answered, sitting up and looking at the plate she had put in front of him. Any other circumstances and it probably would have been cleared before she had said anything. Today, he just stared at it for a while, not particularly hungry. He picked up his fork and played with it for a while before actually taking a bit. It was good and he smiled his appreciation at her.

Arianna smiled weakly back. Picking up her own plate, she poked at the crepes a moment before lifting a small bite to her lips. She chewed slowly and then swallowed.
"I didn't know what else to fix," she explained quietly. "I hope they're okay."

"Thanks... I like it..." Drew answered softly, giving her a small smile. He took another bite and his smile grew more sincere. "It's good. Like that day at my house."

"Good," Arianna smiled bigger and took another bite. It really was like the last time they'd made crepes, only the mood wasn't her fault. She was determined not to make this moment any worse than it had to be.

"I could have helped if you had asked, you know," he told her as he took another bite. He had been so caught up in his own thoughts that he hadn't even notice she was in the kitchen working.

"Oh.." Arianna frowned slightly. "I didn't think to ask. I just....I know when I....I didn't want to do anything. Just...."
Her voice trailed off. She didn't want to go off on her problems from so long ago, but part of her wanted to let Drew know that she was familiar with the feelings he was going through.

"I should have noticed... I should have offered," Drew told her, feeling guilty now for making her do everything. He had sat on his butt while she did everything for him. "I shouldn't have made you do it all."

"You didn't make me," Arianna claimed, quickly shaking her head. She took a sip of juice then, reaching her hand toward the boy, gently poked him in the side. "You do, however, have to help me with dessert."

"Dessert? What's for dessert?" he asked. He wasn't sure he could even finish the meal right now, much less dessert.

"Well, I thought cookies at first, but..." she bit her lip. Her cookies hadn't been welcomed very well last time and she wasn't sure Drew would want any today, either. "Girl's usually go for ice cream at a time like this. You wouldn't want ice cream, would you?"
