Arianna awoke VERY early on Saturday morning and trekked down to the common room, Drew's spare blanket in hand. The floor beside the boy's bed was just too cold and hard for her. She needed something warm and soft. Which usually would be her own bed, but that seemed too far away. She would fall asleep on her way up the stairs.
Wrapping the blanket around herself, Arianna snuggled down in the comfy chair and, warmed by the fire, soon fell back to sleep.

Of course it wasn't unusual for him to get a decent night's sleep (thought lately, it hadn't been happening very regularly), but it was very unusual for him to sleep through his two AM snack. With that in his stomach, he was usually good until about seven, when he could get some breakfast, but this morning, he woke up in the wee hours of the morning. It was too late for a snack and too early for breakfast... and impossible to get back to sleep with a growling stomach.
With few other options, he grabbed his blanket and trudged downstairs, hoping to find something small enough to allow him to sleep, but not so big he slept through the morning meal.
He took little notice of the lump on the comfy chair... until he realized it was his blanket there. Careful inspection reveiled that it was Ari... but how did she get his blanket? He grabbed a cookie from his stash and nibbled it as he sat on the sofa and watched her sleep.

"Isokay," Arianna murmured. She shifted in the chair and pulled the blanket up to her chin. After a moment's silence, she started mumbling again. This time the words held a sort of familiar tune.
"Take my hand....." she sang softly before falling silent again.

Drew paused mid-nibble and creased his brow at her. He had just had the oddest flash of deja vu... almost like it was out of a dream.
Which was odd becasue he rarely remembered his dreams.
"Ari? You awake?" he whispered at her, wondering if she was just talking in her sleep.

"Isokay....figeroot," Arianna reached a hand out and placed it on the chair arm on which her head lay. She rubbed it gently back and forth as she had spent the night doing so to help Drew sleep. "Isokay."

"Ari!" Drew called out sharply but softly, hoping to wake her out of whatever dream she was having. It wasn't that he wanted to keep her from sleeping, but her mumblings were making him uneasy.

Now, Arianna usually slept rather well and while she wasn't a light sleeper, she wasn't so dead to the world that it took several tries to wake her. And when someone called her name as Drew had done, she was awake in a flash.
"What?" the girl sat up suddenly. She turned her eyes on Drew and stared at him until they had focused. "What?" she asked again.

"You were talking in your sleep," Drew told her, jumping a little when she sat up. "What are you doing down here... at this time of morning... with my blanket?"

"Sleeping," Arianna replied. She fell back into the chair and pulled the blanket over her head. After a second, she pulled it back down just enough for her eyes to show. She was suddenly worried that Drew knew that she had snuck up to check on him the last couple of nights and that he would get mad at her for doing so.

Drew looked at her, obviously confused. He knew the blanket had been in his room the night before- he rarely ever brought it down.
"Yeah, I figured that much," he told her, waiting for a better explaination.

"What?" Arianna asked, noticing Drew's odd expression. Even though she was still tired, the girl sat up fully, letting the blanket fall onto her lap as she stared back blankly.
"It..It was warmer down here," she claimed with a shrug.

"That's my blanket..." Drew answered, not angry, just curious as to why and how she had gotten it. Hr was starting to feel like a two year old fussing over his blanky, but really wanted to know how it had gotten downstairs.

"Oh....yeah..." Arianna stared down at the blanket as though she didn't quite recognize it. It was too early and she was too tired to get her brain working. "Did you want it back?"

"Eventually..." Drew answered. Now that his cookie was finished and his stomach had stopped complaining, he was getting sleepy again. "How'd it get down here in the first place?"

"I borrowed it," Arianna replied with a small shrug. Then, before Drew could think she'd wandered all the way to the boy's dorm just to steal his blanket, she realized should explain further. "I...I came up to check on you and you asked me to stay, so I did. But the floor got too cold, so I came down here for a bit."
