"You didn't do anything," Drew mumbled back. It was ironic how now, he could see how hard the two girls had tried to get along for his sake.

Arianna shrugged and gave other sniff. She had always thought hadn't tried hard enough. That maybe, if she pushed herself a bit harder, they could all stand to be in the same room at once. Of course, it had never worked out like that and she'd end up blaming herself. Heck, even now she felt as though Alhana not returning had to be, somehow, her fault.

A calm sort of emptiness filled him as he sat and stared at the dying fire. He was done thinking for the day. Thinking too much was exhausting. All he wanted to do now was sleep.

"Drew?" Arianna questioned softly. She had no clue what she wanted to say. She just needed something to fill the silence and to know that Drew would be okay.

"Hmmm?" he hummed back in response, keeping his eyes on the glowing embers in the fireplace. The morning had gotten cold and he wrapped his blanket around himself better.

"Are you...okay? For now?" she finally asked. Stretching her arm out, she placed her hand on his back and rubbed it gently. "Are you sure you don't need anything?"

Drew just nodded back, turning it into a small rocking of his whole body. He didn't look at her, but kept his focus on the fire. The thinking and the crying had worn him out and he didn't want to do either right now.

"If you do think of anything..." Arianna didn't finish the thought, but leaned her head against Drew's shoulder. Her eyes closed momentarily, the rocking motion more than enough to put her to sleep. With all the worry and not sleeping the past few nights, she was nearly as exhausted as Drew probably was.

Just don't leave me... was his only thought, but he could hardly say it out loud. He hated feeling as vulnerable as he was feeling right now, but was thankful Ari was nearby.
"Okay..." he answered softly.

"I'll be right...here," she yawned, determined not to leave his side. She moved her hand again against his back.
