His business? It was his business? Wasn't it her business as well? And he wasn't even looking at her. What was wrong? Had she really done something so bad that he couldn't even look at her and talk to her at the same time? And then he told her it was her business? Of course it was! Yes, it was both of their business, but was it not her right to tell her friend something?
He didn't want Lucas to know their business? What if she didn't want someone to know their business? She doubted he'd agree to it. What if she didn't want Hiro knowing something, it was unlikely Drew would agree to something of the sort. But this really wasn't the time or place to discuss their problems. It was supposed to be a party that he'd said he wanted her to go to, the only reason she was there.
"Drew, I'm not going to fight with you right now. This is supposed to be the sixth year pool party, all you had to say was you didn't think it would be a good idea for me to be here if we were just going to fight again." While she knew they'd agreed to ask one another when they fought, she didn't really want to make a scene, she'd just talk to him another time. "I should just go."
Turning, she walked away from him and toward the door, seeing an extremely familiar Hufflepuff face.

Alexander wasn’t much for swimming, or showing off any part of his body that could be covered in the most horrific of any acne any one would ever see. In all reality, not only could the Huffle not really swim all that well, but he had no true marks on his back or anywhere on his body that was disgusting or filled with nasty zits that would make him stand out more than any of the other males that were probably bound to be at the party. He was just going to be sociable and for a specific person that he had mentioned going with, but nothing had ever been set in stone.
It was May and there were only a few weeks left of his sixth year, so Alexander thought that he should at least make the most out of it. Though, he wasn’t much for embarrassing himself over it. He sighed, throwing a towel over his shoulder and making his way from the Hufflepuff commons to the seventh floor, room of requirement.
This room held a lot of memories even with the single time he had ever been there. A melodic song that lingered in the air, the kisses he exchanged with his Head Girl girlfriend, and then the asking of her hand just in general. A wide grin on his face could not be contained as he thought of such blissful and magic less memories. At least, that’s what Alexander thought. He had used no magic to swoon his love, and therefore it was probably as muggle as it would ever get at Hogwarts. It made everything perfect.
Everything indeed.
Though, not all was perfect. Nor were all relationships at Hogwarts. By this time, Alexander had found out previously that the young Felicity Hjort was going out with the guy, Drew Thornton, from his own year. Alexander wasn’t too sure about that, but then again, it wasn’t his place to judge the young Hjort’s tastes in boys. It actually was a trend in Alexander’s mind that girls usually went for. Clear skinned guys with lots of potential that everyone knew and dreamed of. Yes, indeed, Mr. Oh-so-popular…Alexander really disliked those kind of guys.
Plus, after all of that, it kept Drew away from Krissy, which was a secret fear that Alexander had had in some of their classes with the seventh years. Alexander would never say it out loud, but it was…it wasn’t now, however.
Walking into the room after climbing up the flights of stairs, Alexander found the room of requirement and walked in. Wearing a pair of Hawaiian styled yellow trunks, a white tee shirt, and the towel still flung over his shoulder, he sighed knowing that this was probably not going to be the most enjoyable of times in his life. Maybe, if he were lucky, he would find a chair and just sit in a corner by himself and watch the crowds. It was what he did best after all, and in a small bag he carried with him, his leather bound book, and wand were stored neatly and securely (along with a pen to write with.) Sitting, watching, and relaxing, was what he planned on doing from the start.
That was until he saw a familiar someone coming at the doorway, at what seemed like a particularly fast speed. Meeting up with her soft brown eyes with his lavender, he gave Felicity a small smile, but then wondered what could have been wrong. She looked distressed, and not coming towards the door to actually greet him. Meeting her half way, he put his hands on the upper parts of her arms and looked gently into her eyes. “There something wrong, Lissy?” he whispered as if not to alarm her, or let anyone else know of her families name for her. He could see that she was upset and wanted to relate to her as much as he could, and with a name he rarely called her, he hoped he’d be able to do so.
It was something his father used to always tell him. Relate to the clients as much as you can while helping them. Trust is key…especially, in a time of need when someone is obviously hurt by whatever the cause may be.

"Wait, you're saying stuff I didn't even say!" Drew answered back, looking up to notice a few more sixth years had shown up. He wasn't even rightfully upset over the situation and she was talking about fighting.
And threatening to leave? He definitely didn't want that and he jumped up to follow her, feeling like it was almost as if she was wanting to start a fight he had no intention of joining. If she wanted to leave, why didn't she just say so instead of blaming it on him?
So much for not having any drama at his annual pool party. He was just about to reach Felcity when he saw her get stopped by Alexander at the door. Thank Merlin for small favors.

Lucas just nodded at the girl as she said she needed to go see Drew. He understood that she had to check on her boyfriend and his hands found their way into his pockets as they always did. He turned and watched her go, not trying to listen in on the conversation but finding that rather hard to do, considering Felicity was getting a little loud. And when she turned and started to leave, even Lucas made like he was going to go after her too.
Turning back however, he saw Drew coming as well. He sighed and stepped sort of in the boy's way so he could get a chance to say something. "Look, mate," he began, "Can I talk to you?"

Another boy entered the room, this one she thought might be a Gryffindor. He like her seemed to be a bit on the shy side which made her feel a little better, seeing how she was the only one who was like that. Meanwhile on the other side of the room there was still some more drama to be seen.
Felicity she could see was confused as to why Drew was so upset or seemingly upset. She finally decided to break away from the boy she had been talking to and walked over to Drew. They seemed to be trying to talk things out.
It wasn't as if she could really hear what they were saying, not that she really wanted to it was better to watch than to listen. Again though she managed to take her eyes off of them and look at the other Ravenclaw boy, the one who had looked at her while she walked across the room, then at the ne who just walked in.
That was something she did enjoy just as much as drama, boys. What girl didn't enjoy looking at a few cute boys.
Then again though drama erupted as Felicity began to leave the room both Drew and the other boy going after her. Angel sat there transfixed wondering what in the world was going on. So much for a party this was more like some muggle soap.

Drew was just about to reach Felicity when Lucas, of all people, stood in his way. Where this guy got the impression that they were mates, Drew didn't know, but it was really starting to irk him. The Ravenclaw Prefect thought he could be cordial to the other boy, but that didn't make them mates by a long shot.
"No. Now's not a really good time," Drew answered bluntly, pushing past the other Ravenclaw boy and making his way to Felicity and Alexander. The truth was, there probably wasn't any good time for Drew to talk to Lucas.
When he reached the two by the door, he put a hand on Felicity's arm, knowing what needed to be asked, but worried it would look strange to everyone who seemed to be watching. "I don't want you to go and I'm not going to force you to stay, but if you're set on leaving, I'd like a hug first." Hopefully Alexander would forgive the bit of rudeness while he tried to smooth things over with his girlfriend.

Guy hadn't realized that he was walking in on something, an argument of sorts. He felt a bit awkward as he walked by the group of people who appeared to be the ones arguing. Or something of that nature. He shrugged it off, though, and took a minute to look around. He recognized just about everyone there if not by name than by face from classes or just around the castle. His eyes rested on a girl sitting alone in a corner for a second before moving back to look around at the set up. Giant pool, equipt with diving board and slide. This was sure to be an event to remember.
Guy also looked around and noticed the lounge chairs, tables set up with food, and grill. Sweet. It was only as he looked at the pool for the second time that he noticed Tristan was in it. He didn't know the lad too well, but they were in the same year and same house, so they were familiar with one another. " Howard, how's the water mate? " He asked with a light grin to his housemate.
Guy turned and looked at the girl sitting in the corner, motioning for her to come over and talk to him. He figured he might as well try to make some new friends, even if the atmosphere in the room wasn't all that welcoming.

While she normally loved running into her friends, this wasn't one particular time she was appreciating it. All Felicity wanted was to get out of the room, she thought it was quite obvious it wasn't a good time to be there, and she should've known not to go. It was a party that was for the year above her, and while Drew had invited her, it didn't mean she should've gone. No, definitely best to just leave. Unfortunately, Alexander was being his caring self for the moment.
Breaking eye contact, afraid of actually crying, knowing her watered eyes were bad enough at the moment, Felicity turned her gaze down. Why was she even close to tears? There wasn't a reason for it, though she kept trying to tell herself that, it wasn't working too well. All she wanted was to leave, and she couldn't even do that properly, she really did mess everything up.
Nodding her head at Alexander, she didn't really know what to say, especially when she didn't want to really fight with Drew. And if he was close enough to hear her, then he'd likely be upset. It was just a bad idea. Taking a deep breath, she looked back at the Hufflepuff. "I want to leave. Will you walk with me, Alexander?"
All she could do was ask, he was soothing and he could usually keep her pretty calm. He'd be a good choice to talk to for a bit anyway.
And then she felt another touch on her arm, one she tensed right up about.
Did she really want to hug him? She didn't want to make a scene, just wanted to leave, and why wouldn't anyone let her do just that? Shifting uncomfortably, she lowered her gaze from Alexander's again. Things would be worse if she didn't.
Grabbing Drew's hand, she pulled him out of the room. She was still leaving, but she'd give him a hug if he really wanted one, though it wouldn't mean she'd be happy about it. And she could ask Drew to get Alexander when he went back into his party.

The body language from Felicity probably scared Alexander the most, and as he watched her closely he took note of everything he possibly could. Her eyes looked away from him, dancing on the floor from one spot to another. Her words were soft and, scared? No, that couldn’t be it. Felicity had been upset by something and that was all that could be taken from the sound of her soft voice. Not fear. “Ok, we’ll go. No problem…” Alexander said, interrupted shortly after.
However, her tensing as Drew raced up to the both of them didn’t settle Alexander’s stomach any. He took his hands off of Felicity a bit and stood there, a look of confusion and a small bit of anger started to cross his face. Why would Felicity tense up at the touch of her boyfriend? It only made Alexander furious with the obvious reasons that he could come up with from the cases he had observed with his father.
The victims of the more domestic cases always acted scared and their eyes never made contact with his fathers. Why should they? Men had hurt them so many times, and then the person they run to for help is another man? It was obvious that something wasn’t right here, and Alexander wasn’t at all amused. “Drew,” Alexander nodded in some kind of greeting, his voice stern and obviously questioning.
Felicity grabbed Drew’s hand and lead him out of the room, Alexander didn’t move for a moment, trying to think of what his next move should be. He didn’t want to follow the two outside all the way, but at the same time, if that Thornton kid put even one wrong finger on Felicity, he’d know just how pissed a guy could get over his friends. Alexander didn’t have many of them, and the ones he did have he wasn’t about to allow anyone to touch them wrongly. Deva, school jocks, or otherwise.
Alexander removed the wand from his bag, and moved his towel from his shoulder to his hand so that he could properly hide it. If there was no need for it, then he’d put it away, but it was better to be safe rather than sorry. Alexander found a place near the doorway of the room on the inside of it to stand against the wall and wait for Felicity to call for him. It was also an ideal place to hear all of what may happen outside the door.
He probably wouldn’t hear any of the words they exchanged unless yelling broke out, but Alexander was sure he’d hear any violent swings if it came to that. Alexander would be ready. He wasn’t defenseless this time….not like he was when the Deva….
Being a wizard had some advantages…Alexander hoped that he wouldn’t have to use them there.

As she sat watching a motion caught her eye and she noticed the Gryffindor boy motioning to someone in her direction. Looking around she wodered if there had been someone else near her so she turned this way and that way to look. That's when she realized that he was motioning to her. Angel almost choked but recovered very nicely not making herself look like too much of a dufus.
Getting up slowly she was now very aware that she was in a form fitting swimsuit. The t-shirt she had been wearing laying on the floor next to her and it would look a bit odd seeing as they were at a pool party. Taking in several deep breaths she slowly walked over.
Smiling brightly she tried to look at ease and hoped she did a good job when she finally said, "Hi there I'm Angelique, you are?"

Guy made sure not to stare at one person for too long as he kept glancing around curiously. His attention was back to the unfamiliar girl as she responded to his motioning her over. A light smile fell across his face as he saw her looking around after he motioned to her. For her sake, he wouldn't mention anything of it. If it had been him, which was sort of likely seeing as how he didn't talk to too many of the people in the room, he probably would have done the same.
Hi there I'm Angelique, you are? Guy smiled with a light nod at her introduction. " S'nice to meet ya. I'm Guy. Havin' fun so far? " He asked, figuring her responce might be something along the lines of not so much, but that was alright. He had only been there for a few minutes and nothing had really happened, so he figured might as well make something happen. At least a little.

Drew hated it when she tensed up at his touch. It always made him feel like scum, but he had learned there wasn't much he could do about it. Most of the time it just made her more upset when he pulled back.
She took his hand and he followed willingly, feeling like he didn't even belong there anymore. Heck, as it stood, she got along with more people in the room than he did.
He didn't want her to leave, but he knew he couldn't make her stay. He just wished he knew what had made her so upset, accusing him of things he didn't say.
"I don't want you to go," he told her when he thought they were sufficently far from the room. "Will you tell me what's wrong at least?"

A hug and then she could leave and he could go back to his party and have fun with his year. He loved swimming, and he liked to cook, so she was pretty sure he'd enjoy himself. Plus there were a ton of people in there for him to speak with, and joke and laugh with, even if he didn't like Lucas very much, she was sure they really would get along just fine. Sometimes she just didn't understand it.
What was wrong? She didn't like him telling her that something that was a part of her business couldn't be told to her friend. And while he had admitted he couldn't stop her from telling someone something, she didn't like that he didn't like her telling one of her friends something.
Sighing heavily, she leaned into him and wrapped her arms around his middle. She hated when she felt like she'd done something wrong and he was mad at her. If he didn't want her to go, then why did she feel like he was acting as if he did? Was it another one of those stupid things she just didn't understand?
"I don't understand why you don't like me telling Lucas something that happened when he asks," the fifth year answered. She knew he didn't care much for her friend, but she really didn't understand why she shouldn't tell him something that was her business.

Angel giggled at the question. "Well I guess I would say I'm having an alright time seems to be a fair bit of drama going on, so as much as I hate to say it that's been keeping me entertained. Have any idea what's going on?" she figured he probably didn't but it was conversation wasn't it?
Angel looked to Guy never having really noticed him much before this. Probably because she spent so much time with her head buried in some book or another. Plus this shy role she had been on hadn't helped much either. Maybe this party was a way for her to bring it out.
Guy seemed nice so far and she wasn't running away screaming so that was a good thing wasn't it? Smiling she asked, "I know you just got here but are you having a good time?"

He wasn't crazy about any of her family and friends thinking he was such an awful guy that she needed to break up with him, and he really didn't want any insinuations that she was a fool for going back to him (because of course that would be the natural conclusion if she had broken up with him to begin with), but for Lucas to know bugged him the most. It was almost as if Drew could see the other Ravenclaw celebrating. It was stupid of course, and realistically, he knew he shouldn't give a flying flobberworm about what Lucas thought, but it still bothered him. The thing was he knew there was nothing he could do or say to fix it or stop it or prevent it from happening again. And even if he did, he had no right to.
"Because it was about me and I just didn't like it," he answered, wishing she'd get what he was trying to say... but how could she when he wasn't even sure explaining it right. "I'm not asking you not to tell him stuff. He's your friend. Of course you're going to tell him when something's bothering you. I was just trying to tell you how I felt about it."
