It was just as well that Seanna spotted the corner of a piece of parchment hanging out of her bag that Saturday morning while she was cleaning up her dorm room. Seanna normally wasn't one for cleaning, figuring the house elf's could do a better job than what she could, but that morning she had found herself with nothing better to do than to pick up the bits and pieces floating around the sixth year dorm room.
That was until she spotted that piece of parchment. Ironically, the same piece of parchment that held the invitation to Drew's pool party, the Huffle had forgotten all about the pool party. Leaving the cleaning for the meantime, Seanna quickly threw on a different kind of bathing suit than the one she normally wore, which consisted of a pair of black board shorts with yellow flowers, a yellow and black bikini top and finally, a yellow and black singlet top.
Walking out of the dorm room, Seanna quickly took the Huffle steps two at time. A pool party sounded like fun and while she had been at Drew's last pool party, she couldn't ever remember that one being fun... or more, she didn't have any fun, or even more, she didn't try and have fun. This time around, she was determined to have some fun.
Taking a short cut to the ROR, Seanna slowed her pace down as she got to the corridor of the seventh floor. Making her way down the corridor her brown eyes spotted Drew and Felicity, and gave them both a smile, oblivious to what had happened. Spotting the both of them though, had made the job of finding the ROR that much easier and after a short while, the door to ROR allowed her to enter.
Looking into the ROR, Seanna saw the pool, diving board, slide and opulent amounts of food to fill anyone's sin of gluttony. Moreover, there was a large array of lounges and chairs as well and after such a hard time cleaning the dorm room, relaxing by a pool in a comfortable chair sounded like a good idea to her. Carefully making her way around the pool, the Huffle didn't see the small towel rack or Alexander himself before it was too late and she went flying towards the ground.

But the thing was, it wasn't about him. When she was telling Lucas it was about her. Yes, it was their business, but when someone was concerned about her and what affect something had on her, then wasn't it essentially about her for the time? And again, he admitted that she would tell her friend when something was wrong, just as she had done, and no he didn't have to like it, but she still didn't understand why.
"Drew, it's not just about you though," she told him sadly. It was partly about him, but to her it sounded like he was making it out to only have been about him, and that just wasn't the case. "If it was your business I wouldn't have told him, you know that. But it was my business too, it was our business, and he asked me what was wrong. I had to tell him the truth."
Leaning into him more, she sighed again, still not fully understanding so much. "Why don't you like it? You know he's my friend, you know I talk to him, why don't you even like him?"
True, he had told her back in December that it was because he liked her, and she knew he did then. But Lucas also knew she liked Drew, not him, not right now.

"I know it's not just about me, which is why I have no say about it," he told her leaning his head on hers. "But it's part about me and that's the part I don't like." Seriously, who liked people talking behind their back? No one he knew. And when it came to the alleged break up, who knows what was said, or even what was thought by the listener. That was the part he really didn't like.
"I'm not mad you told him. I just don't like it," he said, finding his words contradictory, but still honest. He wasn't angry. How could he be? But no, he didn't like it. "Of course you would tell him. But I don't have to like it, do I?"
He wasn't doing very well explaining why he disliked it, but why he didn't like Lucas was easier to put into words. The problem came where he really didn't want to bag on her friends. It wasn't like Lucas was a bad guy or even a danger to either of them. Drew just didn't like the guy.
What's more was, he wasn't sure Felicity would take him seriously about his concerns.. and that was if she understood what his concerns even were. He had told her back in December why he didn't like the guy, and while a lot had changed, Drew didn't think Lucas's feelings for the Gryffindor had.
"I just always get the feeling like he's looking to take you away from me," Drew said softly. He was confident (cocky, some might say) enough to know it wouldn't happen, but it still bugged him. "I know you're my girl, but I still don't like it that he tries..."

Alexander was finding it more and more frustrating that he couldn’t hear any of the words that Felicity and Drew were more than likely exchanging. If what was going on was the same as what Alexander had heard of time and time again with as many domestic accident cases as his father had dealt with, then in a few minutes Alexander assumed that Felicity would enter the room of requirement again, smile on her face, and no intentions of leaving. How a man could come to such levels of making a woman feel bad for her decisions was beyond Alexander…he’d never do it.
That was probably his own conscious though, and Alexander knew that he wasn’t the normal kind of guy. With a skin problem like his, who would be normal? Alexander itched his face slightly. That chlorinated water was going to dry out his skin something awful, and with his luck, it would turn his brown hair a distinct color of dark forest green. No, he really never wanted to go swimming in the first place.
Arms crossed in front of him, his towel placed over both arms to cover his hidden wand, he leaned back against the wall a bit further, crossing his feet at his ankles waiting for the blond Gryffindor to return. All he could do was to hope for the best, but Alexander had watched enough people to know that what was best at that time would probably be an act; an elaborate cover up, and ultimately, not something that would inevitably end in happiness.
As another walked through the door, Alexander noticed whom it was just briefly before looking away. He’d told himself that he’d greet her in a minute, but at the moment he was lost in his thoughts and in the scenes that were happening. He never saw her turn his way, nor did the Huffle boy even realize what was going on before his neck snapped back in time to see, and feel Seanna tripping over his outstretched feet.
“Seanna!” he gasped, trying to reach out with his free hand to catch her, realizing by that time it was much too late. Tripping over his own ankles, he too fell down right next to where the girl would have eventually landed. With an ‘oomfph’ Alexander landed on his stomach, and the wand that was securely in his hand, went skidding out from under the towel and across the floor.
Coming to a stop a few yards away from the huffles, Alexander looked up slowly and in horror. Quickly he looked around to see if anyone noticed and then held out his hand to the side of him as he tried to scurry to get up. Using the spell method of calling one’s wand without saying any words, as they had learned that year, Alexander called to his wand to come to him. It hesitated, dancing back and forth on the ground before finally deciding to fly through the air at his hand.
Catching it, Alexander looked back to where Seanna was and cocked his head. “Are you alright?” he asked her, hoping that no one had see his wand out…but then again, that was probably not realistic…now was it?

“ Drama… makes the world go ‘round I s’pose. “ He said with a half grin. He wasn’t even sure what they all seemed to be in a huff about, but he had a slight feeling he didn’t want to know, only wanted to avoid it. He didn’t like getting involved in such things, plus he didn’t really even know any of the people involved so he was pretty much safe from that. Answering her question, he said, “ I’ve no idea what’s going on.. I sort of walked in the middle of it I guess. “ He gave a light shrug, noticing that Felicity and Drew had walked out of the room.
Tugging lightly on the towel round his neck again he answered, “ Well, I’m havin’ an alright time. Nothing too exciting as of yet. “ He told her, quickly glancing around before settling back onto the girl in front of him. “ So, what house are you in? “ He hadn’t seen her much before and wasn’t too sure on which house she belonged to.

Felicity still didn't understand, if he agreed it wasn't just about him, then why should he have any say in whether he liked that she told or not? He had told people, and she didn't mind because it was what had happened, so why did it matter if he liked it or not? It was something she was telling to a friend because her friend was concerned about her, he'd probably done the same exact thing. And no, she figured he really didn't have to like her telling Lucas they broke up, but it just didn't make any sense to her. Why did it matter who she told? Would he not like that she'd told Corey as well? Did he have a problem with her telling her family?
It was all just very confusing to her. But in the end, did it matter? Probably not, but then it made her wonder whether he'd mind if she told her family or Celina or anyone anything more about them. No, she wouldn't talk about him badly, not unless if by chance he did something, but what about the nice things he did for her? Like making snow for her for her birthday? Was she allowed to tell anyone about that? Or would he get upset because she told?
“You don't want me telling anyone, anything?” she asked him, not liking how that sounded at all. It didn't feel right coming from her, and it just didn't sound right. But that was what he was essentially saying, wasn't it? He didn't want her to tell people anything that involved him, which as it stood, was an awfully large part of her day.
A short snort was ushered from the blonde as she thought about what it was he said. Lucas knew she liked Drew, not him. He knew she wanted to be with Drew, otherwise she wouldn't have made up with him. Lucas wasn't an idiot, he knew that Felicity didn't like him like that, not now. She was much too interested in someone else who meant an awful lot to her, but she couldn't believe that someone thought one of her friends, was accusing the chance of one of her friends, was going to take her away from him. It was ridiculous.
“Drew, he doesn't try to take me away from you. Lucas and I are just friends, nothing more, I like you too much to even think of liking him like that.” Wasn't Halloween proof enough when she'd told Lucas she couldn't like him because she liked Drew? It still stood, she couldn't like him because Drew was still there. “And no one is going to take me away from you; I wouldn't be a willing participant in any such plan, you know this, don't you?”
Or didn't he? What if he really didn't trust her that much? Hadn't they discussed stuff like that? Hadn't they talked things over and through? Felicity had thought so, but what if he didn't actually trust her like she thought he did? Did he really not realize she wasn't going to let someone take her away? And of course she was his girl, but the point was Lucas really didn't try to take her away.

Drew took a deep breath, trying not to get frustrated that she hadn't understood any of what he was trying to say. He wasn't sure if he said it wrong or if she just didn't hear it all, but she had come back with almost the complete opposite of what he meant.
"I never said that. I never said any of that," he told her, closing his eyes and smelling her hair. "I said I didn't like that Lucas knew about the fight. That was it: Lucas, fight. But I can't... I wouldn't ask you not to tell him stuff, because he's your friend. But because he's not mine, I don't have to like it, do I?"
The snort hurt him and he fell silent for a moment, figuring she wouldn't take his feelings on the matter seriously. Again, she hadn't understood any of what he said. There were plenty of guys out there that really didn't care if a girl was with someone else. Lucas had known way back in November where he stood and still had given Felicity a locket for Christmas, a gift Drew had thought was too intimate that soon in their relationship.
"I never said you liked him back," he told her softly. He knew Felicity didn't see the smirks and glares Drew got. The snide comments that came his way. Drew didn't care about any of it other than it meant that Lucas still had a thing for Felicity. "I never said you'd fall for anything he tried to pull. I just said he's trying and I don't like him for that." She wouldn't believe him and Drew could live with that, but again, he didn't have to like it.

Angel had to laugh at what Guy said, because being in the middle of a drama was no fun at all. She preferred to be low key which is probably why no one knew her and she barely knew anyone. Looking around the room she realized just how true that was, if she was questioned by anyone and they asked her who was who she'd be in big trouble because she pretty much had no idea. That was kind of sad, though she knew she had no one else to blame but herself for that.
Turning her attention back to Guy she smiled one of her charming smiles and answered sweetly, "A Claw through and through, how about you? A Gryffindor I think?" she took a guess hoping she wasn't wrong. Waiting for an answer she tried not to pay attention on what else was going on about the room.

No, he hadn't said it outright, but that's how it had sounded to her. It was as though he didn't want her to tell anyone what went on between them, and she knew there were lines, lots of lines, that had to be carefully treaded, but that wasn't one of them, or she didn't think it was. Breaking up with a boy is something people do all the time, and it hurts, but they talk to people to get over it, right? And Lucas had asked her what was wrong, so she had to tell him.
“You didn't say it, but that's how it sounded,” she told him softly. The blonde wasn't mad, but she still didn't understand. So he didn't like Lucas, and because of his dislike for her friend, he didn't like knowing that Lucas knew they'd broken up? Fine, that was simple enough, but it just still didn't sound right. “And I didn't tell him about the fight, I just told him we broke up.” Telling about the fight was telling too much, stuff that crossed the line of what she felt she should be allowed to say. Telling about the fight was more for Celina, or her mum, or Lindsay, but not for Lucas. “But no, you don't have to like it, but all the same, shouldn't you accept it and not get upset because he is my friend?”
Since the boy was her friend, and Dre didn't like him, shouldn't he at least not get mad about something because the friendship is there on her side? Or was it one of those things that she just wasn't going to understand at all, ever? Probably.
“But he's not trying Drew,” she told him, wishing he'd understand that bit. “I know you weren't insinuating that I liked him, because you know I like you, only you. And I wouldn't fall for something like that, not from anyone. But it makes it really hard to fall for anything when nothing is even going on. He doesn't like me anymore I don't think, I think he likes someone else. I told you that at the Festival you took me to.”
Tightening her arms around him, she wished he'd understand that Lucas wasn't trying to “get” her. No one was, at least that she knew of, and she doubted it anyway. She liked Drew, a lot of people knew they were dating, so what was really the point in doing something foolish that only hurt so many people and made those same people look foolish?
“I understand you don't like him, and yes, he did admit to me at the dance that he liked me, but I told him I couldn't like him because I liked you, not him. I know you don't like him because he gave me that necklace, but Drew, I don't even have that anymore, remember?” Surely he did, she still did. “And it really didn't mean anything, it was just a gift, almost an apology kind of gift, and a Christmas gift. But he and I don't really even hang out very much anymore, and I really think he might like someone else.” Pressing her cheek against him, she closed her eyes, really not liking that neither of them seemed to understand the other; wasn't this a large part of their problems before? “And shouldn't all that matter be the fact that I like you, not anyone else, and that you like me? Not that you think someone is or isn't trying to take me away from you, especially when it isn't going to happen?”

Lucas was a little annoyed when Drew just pushed past him, but he didn't say anything about it. All he was trying to do was have a civilized conversation with the boy and try to explain to him, but apparently he wasn't having any of it. It was a good thing that Lucas was such a nice guy or else he would have decked Drew right there. Watching the boy go, Lucas sighed softly. He hadn't even wanted to come to this thing and now he found himself wanting to leave even more.
But against his better judgment, Lucas stayed and grabbed himself a pop out of the cooler and walked over to the other end of the pool, kicking his shoes off and sitting on the edge with his legs in the water.

"I wasn't mad," he told her, not sure how she thought he had been insinuating not telling anyone anything when he had said specifically Lucas and the fight. And no, he hadn't been mad because that was a stupid thing to get mad over. It couldn't be taken back and it couldn't be fixed and it couldn't even be stopped, so what good would it do to get mad about it? But he still hadn't liked it and that was something else that couldn't be helped. "It's how I feel Felicity. You can't tell me to change how I feel about something. And I am accepting it because he is your friend and I know there's nothing I can do about it." If he wasn't accepting it, Lucas would have been on the floor with a bloodied nose and Drew probably wouldn't be talking to Felicity so calmly.
"I know you don't think he's trying, but you don't see what I see," he told her quietly, knowing this was going to be one fo those things she just wouldn't ever believe. And because she was never going to understand it, he'd be happy to drop it if she would. He didn't like it when one of them didn't understand the other, but thankfully it was over stupid little stuff like Lucas. In the big picture, it didn't matter that they disagreed over stupid stuff. "Yes, that is all that matters, that I like you and you like me... but you asked why I don't like him and I told you why. If I really thought it was such a huge problem, I wouldn't have tried to offer my hand out to him. Heck, if I thought it was a problem, he wouldn't even be here."

Angelique couldn't help notice the other boy the one who had been talking to Felicity. She watched him as he walked over to the other side of the room watched him with very keen eyes. Which quickly made her feel embarassed as she quickly looked away, last thing she needed was to get caught, then bright red would be the color of her face and she would need to jump into the pool just to avoid having everyone stare at her.
She made sure to do all of this covertly because she didn't want Guy to see, though her face was a bit flushed, that unfortunately she wouldn't be able to hide. Figuring he might not even be paying all that much attention to her, after all who ever really did.
Being silly she slid another look at him, while he was sitting there. What was up with her? She was at a loss but again she turned away hoping that no one especially him noticed.

Looking around to see the rest. He managed to notice Drew and Felicity weren't around, or maybe he was just being blind. The attitude of the conversation really bugged Tristan in a way. Time to save the day. He hoped. He then shouted out to Drew. "Hey, Drew! How about Water Dodgeball, man!?" he screamed out to Drew so he could hear him. It wasn't loud loud, but it was at a volume where you could hear him. Water Dodgeball, wow, what a muggle sport he played when he was younger. Problem was, where were the dodgeballs? And how can you play dodgeball in the pool. It was easy.... just he hoped he didn't have to teach anyone.

Felicity hadn't said he was mad, or angry, or anything like that, she said he shouldn't get upset about it. He was upset about it if he was throwing the fit like he was, at least she considered it to be a form of being upset.
“I know I can't,” she answered him. “I wouldn't want to change how you feel even if I could. What right would I have to even ask you to change how you feel?” There was no right, it was like one of those potions that could actually control a person. But she really didn't see how he was accepting it. He was upset, he didn't like Lucas, it wasn't even a neutral thing, he just didn't like him. The only sign of acceptance she was seeing was that he was willing to acknowledge it was about her and she had the right to tell people about things concerning her.
It was a difference of opinion, again. They were entitled to their own opinions, they were entitled to think what they wanted. The thing was, they just seemed to have a lot of problems understanding that the other was entitled to things sometimes.
No, she didn't see what he did. She couldn't see his point of view, she didn't understand, and she really didn't see how Drew thought Lucas was trying to get her. But yes, she did ask him about why he didn't like Lucas. However, that didn't matter if they agreed that they liked one another.
“But he's a sixth year and it's the sixth year pool party,” she reminded him. Denying entry of one that should have been there wasn't right to do. “You couldn't just not invite him no matter what. If it came down to that you shouldn't have invited me because I'm not a sixth year.”
Tilting her head back to look up at him, she just wanted this to be over. She wanted to know what he wanted or needed her to do to be happy, something that didn't involve not speaking to Lucas again, she wanted to know what he wanted her to do. Did he just want her to go? Or stay? Or...
“I think they miss you in there...” Felicity trailed off, she barely heard Tristan's voice chase after them.

He figured her first question was rhetorical, much like his had been when he asked her something similar. Of course they didn't have those rights, so it was good to understand that much.
And he felt that he did understand her position. It was why he tolerated Lucas at events like this. It was why he had offered his hand to the other Ravenclaw. She could make friends with whoever she pleased and it really didn't matter if he liked them or not. Because of that, it was his responsibility not to be a jerk to the guy's face when she was around. Again, why he had greeted the boy as he had, only to be left hanging. he looked the fool, but at least he hadn't been a jerk about it.
"It's my party and I can invite whoever I want," Drew corrected. True, he had held it specifically for his class every year, but that didn't mean he had to. "Lucas is invited because I'm trying to at least be cordial. But if I thought there needed to be a choice between you or him, he'd be gone."
"I don't want to talk bad about your friends," he stated with a heavy sigh, feeling like he was edging towards that particular line. "I don't have to like him, but I want to get along. I'm trying to get along." Dang, now he knew how Ari and Alhana had felt... He thought he could try harder for Felicity than they had for him. "I'll try harder."
He heard Tristan's yell but didn't move from where he was. He wasn't going back in there if Felicity was leaving. What was the point?
"Are you still going to go?" he asked, thinking that he'd walk her back himself if she insisted on leaving, and then he'd just go back to his own room. No one would miss him. "Because I want you to stay. I'll try harder to get along with Lucas, I promise."
