Angel was glad when Guy started to talk to her again. It took the focus away from what happened. He was so far a real sweet guy and of all people here she was glad she felt comfortable enough to talk to him. He sort of put her a bit more at ease than she had been and somehow the recent incident was just pretty much forgotten about. The party was getting interested and now there was talk of food. She knew she was kind of hungry since she hadn't eaten anything before coming.
Guy asked if she wanted anything to drink and Angel smiled nodding yes. "Any kind of juice would be good or pop whichever and thank for offering Guy. Then she said to Drew, "I'd really like a burger too please." That sounded so good right about now, she just hoped they'd be done soon because her stomach was starting to make all sorts of rumbling noises because she was hungry. Plus the smell of the food was just driving her wild.

"We got burgers on the grill!" Drew shouted back in reply to the requests and he tugged his shirt on before firing up the barbeque, figuring it wasn't best to cook bare-chested. A sink was situated nearby so he could wash off his hands and he found an apron hanging on a peg on the wall nearby. Tying this around his waist, he then reached into his ice chest and grabbed a stack of patties just as Seanna came up.
"Hey, yeah, sure!" he agreed with a wide grin, not sure what the Hufflegirl could do, but really liking her company. He slapped the meat onto the sizzling grill top while he tried to think of something. "You want to grab the vegetables and stick them on that side of the grill?" he suggested, motioning to the far end from where the meat was already sizzling.

"I hope you don't want me to cook" Seanna said to Drew, unsure of where the vegetables were and unsure if she should attempt to put the vegetables on the grill. The Huffle really did hope that Drew didn't want her to cook, it really wasn't something that she could do well. Okay, Seanna could make the odd Spaghetti and Meatballs, but most times that meal ended up having a burnt taste to it.
"But sure, if you tell me where the vegetables are, I'll put them on the grill" Seanna was sure she could at least put them on the grill without an accident, but once the vegetables were on the grill themselves, it was probably better if she stayed away from the cooking aspect side of it. Seanna really didn't want to set the ROR on fire, it was one of her favorite rooms at Hogwarts.
"It's a good turn out, so far" Seanna mentioned, her eyes traveling around the room. Still, she didn't know half the other sixth years there besides Alexander, Drew and Tristan. Some of them she had been in classes with, but never spoken too. Maybe later on she'd resolve that and go speak to some of the others.

"In the smaller cooler," Drew answered, nodding over to the blue ice chest nearby. "They're already skewered and you just have to put them on and then turn them when they start to get a little brown." Drew would really not do it since his hands now had meat juice on them.
He looked around the room and gave a small smile. "Yeah, good turn out," he said, happy to see that most people seemed to be having a good time. He was a little disappointed that neither Hiro nor Charlie had shown yet. Perhaps they had been to enough pool parties to know there was always some sort of drama. Hopefully, for this year, that part of the event was over.

So many things that could go wrong probably were without Alexander even knowing, but his attention was first and foremost on Felicity. As he left Seanna’s side, he knew that there was a bit of unrest between the two of them, but he didn’t know what to do. He prided himself on knowing people and how they worked, yet, when it came to women, even his father admitted to him multiple times that they were harder to understand. And yet, they wanted to know and understand everything they could…nosey? Maybe, but Alexander wouldn’t say anything about it. Everyone had their own private lives, even if they didn’t want to fully admit it.
The unrest, however, that was effecting the Huffle the most at the moment though, was the facial expression of his Gryffindor friend, and they usual way she had to brush certain things off. If there was a problem, Alexander wanted to figure out what it was. Of course, the dodgball game that seemed to start to begin was an obstacle all in of itself.
Felicity looked toward Alexander and then turned her attention back to the game, listening intently as they explained the rules and so on. Without saying a word, Alexander was at her side and listened as well, figuring that doing anything else would not only be rude, but would draw more attention to him. Something he definitely didn‘t want to do anymore of.
Seanna’s movements towards Drew caught Alexander’s attention just briefly as he then again thought about how he needed to speak with her. The year was soon coming to an end, and above all else, he wanted to leave the year on a good note with his friends. Not to mention, he had asked if she would have liked to visit his home, and wondered if that was still an idea for maybe the summer.
The rules for the game explained, Drew called out for food and Alexander wondered what they had. He wasn’t that hungry, but at the same time could smell in the air something that was almost out of that world. He’d have to check on it after he left Felicity’s side.
“So, I’m assuming everything is alright then?” he asked Felicity, concern flooding his facial features. He knew something was up; he just wished there was a better place to talk with her about it.

Things were beginning to pick up which was good, for her the more packed a room the happier she became, a lot of others thought the opposite. Angel liked it crowded because well then it was easier to blend in people didn't focus so much on you or pay you too much mind. Not that she wanted to be ignored or anything like that she just didn't want eyes on her. Jeez when did this whole shyness thing start? She had no idea but it was annoying sometimes.
Sighing she was still waitinf for her drink at least it would give her something to do with her hands and she could focus on that and not on too many of the other guests. She was sort of looking down on the ground feeling again a bit out of place wondering again why she didn't stay in the common room.

Listening intently, Felicity hoped not to miss anything. Dodgeball. Six balls. Two lines. Get his your out. Catch the ball you're allowed to bring someone back in. Whistle starts the game. It actually didn't sound complicated at all. You ran around and dodged balls. Looking around the room, she wondered where he planned on playing it. The Room of Requirement could be big, but at the moment every square inch was decked out for the pool party.
"But where will we play?" the blonde asked Tristan. She hadn't heard him shout out to Drew other than Drew's name before, so she hadn't heard he'd said something about water dodgeball. It sounded like fun though, maybe get some attention focused elsewhere. That would be nice. And there were a number of people at the pool party, so if they were willing to play, she was all for it. It'd be something to do.
Turning her attention to Alexander, she shrugged slightly and then nodded. "I guess so. I mean, we talked, so I think everything is. At least for now. If not, we'll talk about stuff later. He doesn't want me to go, so I said I'd stay." Sighing, she hoped Alexander wouldn't mind that she'd asked him to do something and then changed her mind about it. Then again, he should be used to her constant mind-changing, how often did she do it over the last few years? "But we did talk, and that makes things better, right?"

Walking over to the small chest where Drew said the vegetable skewers hanged out, Seanna lifted the lid to find that they were the first things on top. Carefully taking the platter out of the chest, the Huffle walked slowly back towards Drew, not wanting to drop the delicious looking vegetable skewers, they probably wouldn't taste very nice with stuff from the ROR floor all over them.
"Yeah, there's a lot of people here though, that I don't know that well" Seanna admitted to Drew quietly as she came back to him, all the while holding onto the platter for dear life. "I saw you talking to Felicity when I came through... " Seanna trailed off, not sure if she should bring the subject up or just change it all together. "Are you okay?" The Huffle asked Drew, not aware that he and Felicity were together, but feeling concerned for her friend nonetheless.
Brown eyes diverting away from Drew and back down to the barbecue, she looked at it with hint of confusion on her face. There was a spare place on the barbecue down near where she was standing with nothing on it where she thought that was where the Ravenclaw wanted her to put the skewers, but she didn't know for sure.
"You wanted me to put the vegetable skewers on here, right?" Seanna asked, her brown eyes going back to Drew. The Huffle was pretty certain that it was the place where she was supposed to put them, but she wasn't too certain and it was better to be really certain in her case, so nothing would actually catch on fire.

' Any kind of juice would be good or pop whichever and thank for offering Guy. ' He had already turned and started over to the coolers of drinks, but turned slightly and smiled at Angel. He then continued on his way over to the coolers and grabbed a water for himself and searched for the soda. He wasn't really sure what kind of soda she liked, as there were so many different kinds, so he took a while standing there and deciding what soda he should grab. Finally he reached into the cooler and grabbed a random can, pulling it up and wiping the droplets of water off onto his towel.
" Here you are, sorry I took so long. " He said, handing over the can of ice cold soda once he had made his way back. " I wasn't really sure what you would like, so I just grabbed the first thing I saw. " He shrugged slightly. It wasn't exactly the truth but close enough. He unscrewed the cap on his bottle of water and took a swift drink.

"Yeah, there's good," Drew told Seanna, nodding to the clear spot on the grill. If there were any vegetarians in the group, he didn't want them to get upset by having their dinner too close to the meat.
He took a little longer to answer the question about Felicity. He had just gotten upset with the Gryffindor for waht she had told Lucas and while he had understood the friendship part of it all, he didn't want to make it seem like he was creating a double standard. "Yeah... we're okay. It was just a misunderstanding is all," he finally said. It was the truth, but it didn't give any details.

Still holding onto the platter, but paying no mind to the vegetable skewers that were on it, for Seanna's ears had perked up and she was sure that Drew had said 'we're' instead of 'I'm' as in a double, not a single like the Huffle just asked him before. Not wanting to be nosy, but wanting to ask the question just because she wanted to know the answer, Seanna figured that this time, she could probably be nosy and get away with it.
"You and Felicity... you're together?" Seanna asked innocently, still forgetting about the platter and the skewers that were just making there way down towards the end of it, if she didn't look down soon to see that they were. "I mean, I've seen you two around, but I... " Seanna trailed off, not wanting to finish her sentence in case she was wrong.
Then again... "I mean, you two make a good couple" The Huffle finished off and gave Drew a genuine smile, her brown eyes gazing over quickly towards the gryffindor girl and where Alexander were standing, the game of whatever looking like that it might start, Seanna just hoped that a ball didn't wander over her way and the barbecue where she was supposed to be cooking.
Cooking. Yes, she was supposed to be doing that, or attempting to. Eyes coming back to the platter, Seanna let out a quick "Oh!" only realizing then that the vegetable skewers were quickly heading towards the end of the platter, but luckily or sadly, only one had dropped off the end of it and onto the floor, the rest were all safe.
"Oops" Seanna said to Drew, a guilty expression on her face as she placed the rest of the vegetable skewers on the barbecue, before dropping and picking up the one lone, vegetable skewer off the ground. "I guess I won't be putting that one on the grill to get burned" Seanna joked, quickly throwing the skewer in the bin that she spotted sometime earlier. Cooking and her... it never did work out much to produce good results.

"Yeah, we are," Drew answered, giving her a quick look before turning away with a shy smile. He had kind of figured that everyone knew, especially his friends. And it was especially nice to finally hear someone say they were good together. He had always thought so, but no one else seemed to asgree. "Thanks. You mind telling her dad that?'" he joked.
"Hey, don't..." Drew started when Seanna dropped one of the skewers, but it was too late. The veggies were in the bin. He was a firm believer of the five second rule and would have had no problem eating the fallen skewer himself. On the other hand, he had to laugh when Seanna downplayed her own cooking talents. He didn't think she would be as bad as all that. Besides, he was right there with her.
"So, you got big plans for the holidays?" Drew asked, flipping voer the meat. No one had called out for the chicken so he'd probably just return it back to the kitchens... or grill it up and have it later tonight...

This really hadn't been Jade's year to socialize but it really was not her fault. She'd been preoccupied with things going on at home and she'd been in and out of the hospital wing from various sicknesses, mostly due to her being careless with her health. She and her on-again-off-again boyfriend back home had broken up again earlier that week, making it the sixth time in a month and a half. She really wouldn't have bothered if she wasn't crazy about him, but she was. And now her heart was broken. Jade really wouldn't have been offended if no one even spoke to her, or remembered her name.
She entered the Room a bit later than most of the people, Stunning in an emerald green bikini and a matching sarong. The color of her bikini set off her eyes just right and even with a broken heart, Jade was determined to have a good time. She knew that was the best way to get over a guy. Her head was held up high and she had a confident little smile on her face as she kicked off her green flip flops and sank into a lounge chair.

"Burgers up!" Drew called out, flipping a few slices of cheese on most of the patties before sliding them off the grill and into their buns. "And I think the veggies are done too," he added, looking over at Seanna and grinning at her. He knew she could handle a few skewers, no problem.
Drew caught sight of the Slytherin girl walking in and noticed she looked a little down. "Hey, Jade!" he called out over to her, "We have drinks in the cooler and food on the grill! Got any preferences?"

Guy was taking a while and well Angel was kind of feeling nervous again. She shook her head it was frustrating to be her age and to feel so nervous. Oh well perhaps the more time she spent there around the others it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe she'd even get into the game of dodge ball it was a fun game if and when you learned not to get hurt.
As Guy returned with her drink she thanked him and took the can of soda. It was just what she wanted. Popping the top she looked over at Guy, "That's OK really, it's just what I wanted so you did good there. Perhaps a little caffeine buzz will help me loosen up just a bit" she giggled thinking it might be true she took a sip letting the bubbling, fizzy concoction wend its way down her throat.
She was parched and downed half the can in one sip. It felt good and did a bit to jolt her system, the buzz as they called it was on. "I think I needed that" she said out loud.
