Allegra caught Drew's looke and shrugged back lightly, indicating that she'd be willing to stick around a bit more. The argument seemed to have passed and maybe things would get better. If they didn't, she was worried about what she'd have to tell Shay in the morning.
Celina had changed the subject, mentioning flying in one of the stadiums. It wasn't something that would be a new experience for either her or her brother, but she thought the offer was nice. "Really? That sounds like fun. Which stadium?" she asked, doubting Celina was suggesting they all go to Poland.

Celina smiled, and as she looked at Alfonz for permission to speak more of it he just nodded biting back his tongue. "It's in Liverpool...it's one not used much and one of the boys on the team has ownership of it. I mean....it's not used or anything, but it's good for just flying." Celina shrugged. It wasn't a new stadium at all, and definitely one they didn't fly in games at, but it was a great place for practice.
Celina laughed, not making eye contact with anyone but imagining the kind of looks that she was probably getting. "Well...ok, it's old and beat up but...." she looked up and smiled at the Thorntons. "It won't have people around it. No people, means no squealing fan girls or worse....fan guys.....and that means a relaxing day for flying." Celina thought it sounded great and hoped they would, too. But at the same time, she got a strange feeling that they were just sticking around be cause she started talking again.
Now if only the idea of flying didn't still terrify her, all would be great.

"That sounds good," Drew answered carefully, looking over at his sister to see what she thought about it. She didn't seem to have any objections. Neither of them had had much of chance to fly over vacation. The only open spaces were out in the country and it was just impractical.
He looked over at Alfonz to see if he did though. The man's expression was hard to read, but Drwe doubted he'd be thrilled with having to spend the day with the Thorntons. All the more reason to accept, right?
"Sounds good," Drew agreed. "So when were you planning this?"

"New Year's weekend. We'll touch the sky at the turn of the new year. Isn't that right, Celina?" Alfonz wan't pleased but at the same time, his sister's smile and sudden excitment filled him with as much of a content feeling as he would need from the experience. Not to mention, he could by then invite Shay to come along with them. Between her and Celina, his mind would be distracted enough to not care about the Thornton boy or his sister whom he sat next to.
"Right before the school year returns to session," he continued, noticing that his glass was yet again empty. It would take a couple more to actually get drunk and as he rose his hand the waiter nodded his head and soon returned with a drink.
"Anything for anyone else?" he asked them.

Celina smiled and nodded brightly. "Yea, imagine touching the stars on the turn of another year?! It was my idea....it seems almost fantastical." Celina giggled and noticed a warmer smile on her brother's face. That's the Alfonz she knew. He always got so defensive when first meeting people...she knew though that it'd be like that. She sighed and as the waiter came by, shook her head. She still had some in her glass, and Celina wasn't much for filling her stomach with anymore at that time.
"I'm good," she said softly. Looking to Drew she smiled and hoped for the best of thoughts from him...but somehow she knew that Alfonz and her had probably tainted the Thornton's night something harsh. As Alfonz was preoccupied with the waiter it seemed she whispered to him as if not to allow Alfonz to hear...."I'm sorry...." she'd explain more later...but at that time, the two simple words were all she had time for.

Drew gave Celina a friendly poke on her leg to show it wasn't okay. The guy had come off as a major jerk, but maybe in the end he was just protecting his sister. Drew wasn't too sure why Alfonz seemed bent on tearing down the Thorntons, but fortunately once the subject changed, so did the mood. Celina was a smart cookie.
Drew looked at Allegra to make sure they were both on the same page. "Two more butterbeers please," he told the waiter, holding up his fingers to confirm the request.

So, everything seemed set, and the mood had definitely lightened. Celina tried not her best not to scowl at her brother for just being himself but it happened like this all the time. Except by this time in the night, usually whoever they were accompanied by would have left. The Thorntons didn't, course then again Celina had almost made them stay by continuing on with a different conversation. Was the game still being played?
The game that Celina and Alfonz played was one of wits. One that not many people truly understood, nor cared to stick around long enough to endure. Because Celina had been playing for so long, and was Alfonz's younger sister, she didn't win but she could handle it. It was better than going home, after all, and being probed for information about the school or whatever else would happen. Most likely she'd keep herself in her room with Emerald all break. At least with Alfonz, she had some kind of movement possibilities. Not many more, but few.
"Oh, and as we're on the topic of flying and brooms and such, I have another friend that wants to meet you, Alfonz," Celina cleared her throat not even looking at her brother directly. She knew he'd not enjoy meeting more of her friends that she had made, but maybe in the end he'd just deal with it. "He wants to become a pro quidditch player, too....." this time she did look up and the disgusted look upon her brother's face was almost too much not to giggle at.
"Don't give me that look yet....Drew knows him," not that that gave the boy she spoke of much credit, "and he's on the Hufflepuff team at school." Looking at Drew she smiled. "You know Michael. Tell Alfonz he's not a bad player."
A rising snicker bubbled to the surface of Celina's vocals as she quickly silenced them by taking a drink of her butterbeer.

Alfonz just looked at his sister in disbelief and yes, a bit of disgust was found. "You know, Celina, just as well as I do that I am not the one recruiting people for positions on teams. How good they are or not, matters not."
Celina continued on, asking for the Thornton boy's approval of the quiddich player Celina spoke of. However, just in the way that Celina almost prodded the question from her friend, Alfonz wondered his real opinion on the topic. "Is he missing a head or something? Is that why you're looking for him, Celina?"
Taking a drink from her glass, Alfonz almost swore that he heard a snicker from her. From his question or from her own thoughts, he knew not from which the giggle came but he looked at the Thornton boy with a smirk on his face.

It took Drew a moment to figure out who Celina was talking about. "Your mean Rolen?" he asked, raising an eyebrow in disbelief. Drew had no respect for the boy as a prefect, a player, or a person and wasn't going to waste his time commenting on the subject.
He looked at Allegra, wondering if she was going to comment on the guy. Drew was going to finish his sandwich instead.

"Uh huh," Celina said, now seeing Drew's expression. Yea, in ways the two boys were similar. They just couldn't see that yet. Celina giggled. "Oh, come on..." she said softly and down into her cup, only stealing glances at both Thorntons before going back to Alfonz. "He's not that bad of a player."
Course, to Celina if they could fly on a broom and get in the game, not to mention leave it without being harmed they were probably good. Not the best, but not the worst either. That was left to the man who had just walked into the bar at that exact time. Alfonz only slightly noticed before a roaring sound of what seemed to be the Jedynak's last name blasted through the tavern.
Celina's eyes opened wide as she instinctively put her hood up. Just great, now what.... she thought to herself, almost wishing the conversation about Mike was still continuing.

"Has to be better than who just walked in," Alfonz said gruffly almost sinking further into the booth, placing the glass up to his lips. What a night. One thing after another, and then just as they were talking quidditch...well, sort of....he has to walk in. Another problemed drunkard? No, worse.
"Just keep your hood up, Celina. It's not like he could actually....." another bellowed roar of drunken slurs. Alfonz would have even taken a pissed off fan right about now.
Roger Bauber had walked into the Leaky Cauldron after visiting the apartment of Alfonz Jedynak, about ten fourty five at night. Drunk, and just plain bored sent him searching for his rival and 'what used to be' dear friend Alfonz. What Roger didn't know, was that Alfonz was his last, dear friend, and one that Alfonz would have gladly forgotten. But Roger, however, couldn't get over Alfonz and it was purely based on the fact that he had gotten on the Poland team and Roger did not.
As Roger looked around the tavern he yelled out, "Jedynak!! I know you're here!" It was enough to break glass as the deep bellowing voice interrupted everyone's evenings, made everyone stare not only at Roger but the usual place where the Jedynaks sat. Alfonz debated calling out to the man just to shut him up, but before any action could be taken he found his way over to the table in front of them. Alfonz definately had not drank enough for this, and the waiter hesitated on bringing any of the drinks the occupants of the table over.
Was the waiter scared of the new man? Possibly. Pure stock and no height on him whatsoever, Roger stood at the height of about five foot nine inches. His messy brown hair and slighly unshaven face could show you that the man had really not thought about taking care of himself the past few days. His robes, however, were a brilliant shade of red and black and almost looked new. That surprised Alfonz something greatly, but he didn't mention it and as he stood at the end of their table near the Thorntons all he could do was laugh.
"Aw, come now Fonz, that anyway to treat a friend?" Roger laughed some more in his drunken state, completly ignoring the fact that he was totally pressing up against Allegra, slightly trying to get to the corner Alfonz had backed himself into.
That was when Roger noticed the hooded Jedynak in the corner and laugh some more. "And well, this doesn't surprise me in the least bit....If it isn't little Lena....Oh, what a wonderful occasion to run into the both of you." Sarcasm dripped off every word and finally Alfonz had had enough.
"If you wouldn't mind....kind sir," Alfonz's tone had become less jest as it had once been and more venom. If Allegra and Drew had thought him rude to begin with, they hadn't seen anything as of yet. "We're eating, and you're as disgusting as ever." Alfonz's eyes glared with a certain spite they hadn't seen in a long time. "Run along, Bauber."

Celina hated the names that Roger had always called them. Fonz and Lena were no one she knew, and as he figured who it was, her hood also came down showing a face that Celina rarely ever showed. Drew was the last one to see it, and that was one night Celina had made herself forget many times over.
"You two are real cute, you know that?" the drunken idiot leaned more on the table putting his hand directly on top of Allegra's food and not even flinching one bit. "Do you think you scare me? Come on now, Fonz....Lena...." Celina said nothing. Just glared, and as she looked back to Alfonz to wonder and almost ask with her eyes what to do, Roger laughed.
"Always going back to him, Lena? You know, I could give you so much more.....and it'd be legal."
Instantly both Jedynak's heads turned so fast back at Roger that anyone in the bar could have heard them snap. By now the tavern was silent, just waiting for what would happen next.

Just as things seemed to be going pleasantly a rather large and rude man entered the premises and felt he had business at the Jedynek/Thornton table. Allegra could tell immediately that neither Celina or Alfonz cared for this man and it didnt' take long for her to see why. She instinctively scooted back from him, probably sitting closer to Alfonz than he would like, but she didn't care. Anything to get away from him.
Had he just said what she thought he just said?

"HEY! BACK OFF!" Drew shouted, jumping to his feet and raising his six foot four frame to it's full height, getting right into the man's space and glaring down at him. The man was older and definitely more solid, but Drew knew a few extra inches had an awful lot of power as well. Drew wasn't about to sit by calmly while this lout was rude to his sister and insulted Celina.

Drew Thornton was up faster than Alfonz could obviously get out of his spot with Allegra backing further into the corner in which he already sat. A small flicker of what Shay would think popped into his head as he put his hands on Allegra's shoulders. "If you wouldn't mind, I think that's my cue." He wanted to get out, if only to egg on the situation more. Baubur had royally pissed him off, and what he was saying was not only untrue but highly incriminating to say while they were in a public place. However, to Alfonz's knowlege, it didn't seem as anything said was being taken seriously by anyone who sat in the bar.
"Woah, woah now. Hey Lena, call your boy toy off of me....heh, wait...no....that can't be what he is," Roger looked square in the boy's face and getting just inches away from it he snickered. His fowl breath protruded from his yellow smile. "No, you couldn't be....he'd never allow you near her as you are." He backed off to laugh, taking a glass of firewhiskey a waiter passed by with on a tray. They didn't stop, however, knowing the situation look rather ill.
The man seemed to dance back and forth and continued to laugh. "Come on, boy.....you think you gots the guts?" His speech slurred as he spun again, only to face the young boy. "You're just barely of age..." he said softly bending in as to tease and egg the boy on himself.
